The Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G has the larger, higher-resolution display and a larger stated battery; the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G has a clearly documented long-term software-support promise. Their prices are not a like-for-like live comparison: Samsung’s figures are October 2025 launch prices, while Ai+’s are those shown on its store listing. The better choice depends on whether you prioritize screen and listed hardware or Samsung’s published update commitment—and you should verify the exact price and configuration before ordering.
Samsung Galaxy M17 vs Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G: specifications

| Published update commitment | Six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates; Samsung’s product page gives the security update period through 30 September 2031 | A comparable long-term update commitment was not established in the official material available |
The Nova 2 Ultra’s display is larger and has a higher listed resolution and refresh rate. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of brightness, color accuracy, or smoothness. Likewise, the Dimensity 7400 and the M17’s Exynos 1330 are different platforms, but chipset names and clock speeds alone do not establish which phone feels faster in everyday use. No comparable independent performance, camera, or battery test is established here.
How much do the Galaxy M17 and Nova 2 Ultra cost?
The Samsung amounts below are India launch prices announced on 13 October 2025, not confirmed current prices. Samsung’s ₹12,499 price for the 4GB/128GB version was a net launch price that included a special launch offer. Ai+’s official store listing showed the prices below when retrieved in 2026; store prices and availability can change.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra for its listed screen and battery capacity
- Its 6.78-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz AMOLED listing offers a larger, higher-resolution display than the M17’s 6.7-inch-class FHD+, 90Hz Super AMOLED listing.
- Its stated 6000mAh battery capacity is higher than Samsung’s 5000mAh typical figure. Capacity alone does not establish actual battery life.
- Ai+ lists the Dimensity 7400 platform. There is no comparable test here to show how its speed, heat, or sustained performance compares with the M17.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy M17 for its documented support commitment
- Samsung explicitly promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, with its product page specifying security updates through 30 September 2031.
- Samsung’s published India launch prices provide a dated price reference, and its launch announcement named Amazon as a sales channel. That does not guarantee current stock or a particular checkout price.
What is established about their cameras?
Both manufacturers list a 50MP rear main camera with optical image stabilization, and both phones list a 13MP front camera. Ai+ identifies the Nova 2 Ultra’s main sensor as Sony IMX752 and lists an 8MP wide-angle camera; Samsung lists 5MP and 2MP additional rear cameras. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Sensor behavior, image processing, lenses, and shooting conditions matter, and no controlled camera comparison is available here.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Check these details before buying
- Confirm the exact variant and seller price. Match RAM and storage, then check the final checkout amount rather than relying on a dated launch price or an earlier store listing.
- Verify the Nova 2 Ultra’s charging details. Ai+’s product page says an 18W charger is in the box, but another field claims 40W fast charging. The page does not resolve that conflict.
- Check warranty and included accessories. Confirm the retail SKU, warranty terms, seller, and box contents with the seller before placing an order.
- Do not treat disputed water-resistance information as settled. Ai+’s product-page content surfaced an IP68 claim, while independent comparison reporting showed IP64. The available information does not resolve the discrepancy.
For official product details, consult Samsung’s Galaxy M17 5G specifications, Samsung’s India launch announcement dated 13 October 2025, and Ai+’s Nova 2 Ultra 5G store listing.
