The Samsung Galaxy M06 5G is the lower-cost choice with a larger 6.7-inch screen; the vivo X300 FE is a compact flagship with a sharper AMOLED display, more versatile cameras and faster charging. Their prices put them in very different classes, so the right comparison is whether the X300 FE’s upgrades are worth its premium for you—not which phone wins on specs alone.

Samsung’s official specifications describe the M06 as a 6GB/128GB model. vivo’s India materials list X300 FE configurations including 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB. How far apart are their prices?
They are not close substitutes on price. In vivo India’s August 2026 announcement lists the X300 FE at ₹84,999 for 8GB/256GB, ₹89,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹99,999 for 12GB/512GB. The M06’s ₹13,999 figure is a 91mobiles Amazon price snapshot, not a guaranteed current offer. Because these figures come from different sources and price types, treat them as an indication of the gap—not a live, like-for-like transaction comparison. Check current listings before buying.

The X300 FE launched in India in May 2026 at ₹79,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹89,999 for 12GB/512GB, with sales beginning 14 May. vivo’s August announcement later added the 8GB/256GB model and stated higher prices for the existing configurations. Display: larger on the M06, sharper on the X300 FE
The M06 gives you more screen area at 6.7 inches, which may suit video, reading or a larger interface. Its HD+ PLS LCD resolution is 720 × 1600, with a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz. The X300 FE is smaller at 6.31 inches, but its 2640 × 1216 AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate offer a substantially higher-resolution display and a faster refresh specification.
Choose by what matters more: a physically larger screen for less money, or a compact phone with a higher-spec display. Resolution and panel type are specifications, not a guarantee of how every user will judge brightness, color or comfort.

Cameras: the X300 FE adds telephoto and ultra-wide options
The M06 has a 50MP main rear camera paired with a 2MP depth camera, plus an 8MP front camera. The X300 FE’s India parameter page lists a 50MP autofocus main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8MP fixed-focus wide-angle camera. Its front camera is 50MP with autofocus. That gives the vivo more rear-camera focal-length flexibility on paper, especially for zoom and wider scenes; megapixel counts alone do not establish real-world image quality.

Optional telephoto extender
For camera-focused buyers, vivo also announced a ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 at a launch price of ₹15,999. It is sold separately with an accessories kit and is compatible only with the X300 FE. Performance, battery and charging
The M06’s octa-core processor is specified up to 2.4GHz, and 91mobiles identifies it as the Dimensity 6300. The X300 FE uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, alongside LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage according to vivo’s India parameter page. These are different hardware tiers, but no independent comparative benchmark figures are established here; a chipset name alone should not be read as a measured speed result for a particular task.

Battery capacity is 5,000mAh for the M06 and 6,500mAh typical for the X300 FE. vivo lists 90W wired FlashCharge and its official store also lists 40W wireless charging; 91mobiles reports 25W fast charging for the M06, whose 25W charger Samsung says is sold separately. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish comparative battery life or charging time under real use.

Software support and durability
Samsung’s Galaxy M06 product page states security updates through 31 March 2030. vivo lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the India X300 FE, and its August 2026 announcement promises five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. These are vendor-stated support commitments, not a claim that every update arrives on a fixed date across all regions.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Samsung Galaxy M06 5G if
- Your budget is the deciding factor and you want a substantially lower-cost 5G phone.
- You prefer a larger 6.7-inch display and can accept HD+ resolution and LCD technology.
- Your camera needs are covered by a main camera and you do not need a dedicated telephoto or ultra-wide option.
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You are prepared to pay flagship pricing for a compact phone with a higher-resolution 120Hz AMOLED display.
- You want a more versatile rear-camera setup, including a telephoto camera with OIS, or a higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera.
- Fast wired charging, wireless charging, higher-tier hardware and the stated long-term support commitment matter to you.
There is no universal winner: the M06 prioritizes price and screen size, while the X300 FE’s case depends on whether its display, camera and charging upgrades justify the much higher spend.
