The Samsung Galaxy F56 5G is the larger, lower-cost option; the vivo X300 FE is smaller and has a higher announced price, a telephoto camera, a larger battery, faster wired charging and wireless charging. The gap is substantial: Samsung’s May 2025 launch prices were ₹25,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹28,999 for 8GB+256GB, while vivo’s August 2026 announcement priced the X300 FE from ₹84,999 for 8GB+256GB. These are announcement prices from different years, not today’s street prices, so check current listings before buying.

How to compare the prices fairly
The closest announced storage match is 8GB+256GB: Samsung listed the Galaxy F56 at ₹28,999 in May 2025, while vivo listed the X300 FE at ₹84,999 in August 2026. That is a ₹56,000 difference between those dated announcement figures. It is not a like-for-like current-price comparison: the announcements are more than a year apart, the vivo configuration has a newer processor tier, and prices, offers and stock can change.

Samsung also announced an 8GB+128GB configuration at ₹25,999, with the same stated ₹2,000 instant bank discount. vivo’s announced X300 FE range goes up to ₹99,999 for 12GB+512GB. Check current retailer listings for the actual price, available configuration, bank offer and stock before deciding; the announced figures should not be read as current checkout prices.

What the extra spend on the X300 FE buys
A dedicated telephoto camera
The X300 FE has separate 50MP OIS main and telephoto rear cameras, alongside an 8MP wide-angle camera. The F56 is specified with a 50MP OIS triple rear camera, but Samsung’s cited launch material does not identify a dedicated telephoto camera. If optical reach matters to you, the vivo’s listed telephoto hardware is a concrete distinction. vivo also sells a compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 separately; it is not included with the phone and is listed as available at select retailers.
Camera specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. Sensor and lens behavior, image processing and shooting conditions matter, and the cited sources do not provide controlled head-to-head photo results.

Higher listed processing and storage tiers
The X300 FE lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage; the F56 lists Exynos 1480 and LPDDR5X memory. Those are distinct platform specifications, and they place the phones in different advertised tiers. No comparable benchmark or real-world speed test is established here, so the chipset names should not be treated as proof of a particular performance gap in everyday use.
More battery capacity and charging options
vivo lists a 6,500mAh typical battery, 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging support. The capacities and charging specifications favor the X300 FE on paper, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts between charges or how quickly it charges in a real-world comparison; no comparable battery or charging test is available.

(No U.S. manufacturer warranty; Seller Return policy applies.)
Size, screen and everyday fit
The F56’s 6.7-inch display is 0.39 inches larger diagonally than the X300 FE’s 6.31-inch panel. Both are listed at 120Hz, but their display resolutions and panel descriptions differ. The larger Samsung screen may suit people who want more display area; the smaller vivo is the more compact choice by screen size. A display diagonal alone does not prove overall one-handed comfort, and vivo’s cited India specifications do not state the device’s dimensions or weight.
Samsung lists the F56 at 162.0 × 77.3 × 7.2mm and 180g. Its product page also warns that some specifications can vary by model or market; check the exact variant listing if a dimension or other specification is decisive for you.
Rank #4
- Equipped with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED display that supports a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, the Galaxy A54 5G delivers vibrant visuals, rich contrast, and excellent readability even in bright outdoor conditions.
Water resistance and software support
Protection ratings
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings for the X300 FE, with test-condition and durability caveats on its product page. These ratings should not be interpreted as permanent protection or a guarantee of suitability for professional or prolonged underwater use. The cited Samsung F56 materials do not state a comparable dust or water-resistance rating, so the available specifications do not support a direct rating comparison.
Update commitments
Samsung launched the F56 with One UI 7 and announced six Android generations and six years of security updates. Its product page gives a security-update period through 31 December 2030, while noting that published update information describes current plans rather than a binding obligation. vivo lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and promises five years of OS upgrades plus seven years of security updates. These are manufacturer commitments, not independently verified records of future delivery.

Which phone makes more sense for you?
- Choose the Galaxy F56 if you prefer a larger 6.7-inch screen, want to spend less based on the dated launch figures, or need its announced 128GB storage option.
- Consider the X300 FE if you want a smaller display, a dedicated telephoto camera, the higher listed chipset and storage tiers, a larger stated battery capacity, or wireless charging.
- Compare current prices before choosing if value is the deciding factor. The Samsung and vivo figures above come from May 2025 and August 2026 announcements, respectively, and do not establish their current street prices.
The distinction is clear from the specifications, but whether the X300 FE merits its higher price depends on which features matter to you. The cited sources do not establish a controlled performance, camera, battery-life or charging-speed winner.
