The Samsung Galaxy F36 5G is the stronger fit if you want a higher-resolution Super AMOLED display and microSD expansion. The OnePlus N6 5G makes more sense if you prioritize a much larger battery, 45 W charging, and its stated IP65 and MIL-STD-810H durability claims. Neither is a universal winner, and the price difference depends on the exact RAM and storage versions available when you shop.

Which phone has the better display?
Galaxy F36: a defined panel and resolution
Samsung specifies a 1080 × 2340 Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. That makes the F36 the clearer choice on paper if you care about a documented high-resolution AMOLED display. Samsung gives a 16.91 cm full-rectangle diagonal, approximately 6.7 inches; its rounded-corner measurement is 16.45 cm, so the visible area is slightly smaller than the full-rectangle figure.
OnePlus N6: refresh rate confirmed, panel details not established
OnePlus lists a 120 Hz refresh rate for the N6, but the official specification excerpt available for this comparison does not establish its screen resolution or panel technology. That is not proof the phone has a worse display; it means a definitive resolution or panel-quality comparison cannot be made from these specifications. Check the complete official spec table for your market before deciding based on screen details.
Which has better battery life and charging?
The N6 has the larger battery by the published capacities: OnePlus lists 8,000 mAh typical and 7,780 mAh rated, compared with Samsung’s 5,000 mAh typical figure for the F36. Capacity alone does not establish real-world screen time, which also depends on the display, software, signal strength, and use.

OnePlus specifies 45 W SuperVOOC charging and claims a 1% to 50% charge in 47 minutes under its stated test conditions. OnePlus says actual results vary; this is a manufacturer test claim, not an independent head-to-head result against the F36. The available Samsung product details do not establish a charging wattage for a direct comparison.
Samsung lists up to 17 hours of video playback for the F36. This is a manufacturer figure, not an independent test, and it should not be treated as directly comparable with OnePlus’s capacity or charging-time claims.

These specifications describe different hardware configurations, not image quality. Megapixel counts alone cannot show which phone takes better photos or video: optics, stabilization, image processing, and recording modes all matter. No hands-on camera test is established for this comparison.

Which phone offers more storage flexibility?
The F36 is listed in 6 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB configurations. Its 6 GB/128 GB version supports a microSD card up to 2 TB through a hybrid SIM/memory slot, so using a memory card may affect how you use the SIM slot. OnePlus materials show N6 configurations of 4 GB/128 GB and 6 GB/128 GB; no microSD expansion specification is established here.
If you need room for offline media or a large photo library, the F36’s documented card support is a useful differentiator. If you are comparing built-in capacity, match the exact variant: the F36’s 8 GB/256 GB option has twice the listed storage of the N6 variants covered here.

- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
What do the N6 durability claims mean?
OnePlus claims IP65 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification for the N6. IP65 indicates dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets under defined test conditions; it does not mean the phone is rated for submersion. The MIL-STD-810H claim refers to a military-standard testing framework, not a guarantee that the device cannot be damaged. Treat both as manufacturer claims and follow OnePlus’s care guidance rather than relying on them as insurance against damage.

A reliable current same-day price for both phones was not established. OnePlus’s official offer table covered the 4 GB/128 GB and 6 GB/128 GB N6 from September 1 through September 30, 2026; that offer period has ended, so it does not establish the N6’s October price. Conflicting comparison-site figures are not a sound basis for a current price verdict.

To work out the real difference, compare live offers for the same storage class and account for RAM, seller, availability, and bank discounts. The F36’s 8 GB/256 GB model should not be compared as if it were the same configuration as a 128 GB N6. Confirm the final checkout price and offer terms on the day you buy.
Quick Recap
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy F36 on paper if a documented 1080 × 2340 Super AMOLED screen, microSD expansion, optical stabilization on its main camera, or a 256 GB model matters most.
- Choose the OnePlus N6 on paper if you want the higher listed battery capacity, 45 W charging, or the IP65 and MIL-STD-810H claims.
- Compare software support carefully. OxygenOS 16 is listed for the N6, but the Samsung product details used here do not establish an update commitment, so they do not support a head-to-head longevity verdict.
- Check the precise model and final price. RAM, storage, seller promotions, bank discounts, and availability can change which handset is the better value.
