The Galaxy F36 5G and Galaxy A27 5G share a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh typical battery, but they differ in cameras, memory, software support and launch timing. Samsung’s India pages list the F36 with 6GB RAM and an 8MP ultrawide; the A27 has 8GB RAM, a 5MP ultrawide and an explicit promise of up to six Android OS upgrades. A current like-for-like price gap could not be established, so the better buy depends on the prices for the exact variants available where you shop.

Both phones have a 16.91 cm (6.7-inch) FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. On the listed specifications, neither has a clear advantage in screen size, resolution, panel type or refresh rate.

The A27 is shorter at 162.4mm, while the F36 is 164.4mm tall. The F36 is 0.3mm thinner and 3g lighter; the A27 is 0.3mm wider. These differences are modest, so comfort will depend more on how each phone feels in your hand than on the dimensions alone.
Performance and memory: A27 has more listed RAM
The compared India listings pair the F36’s octa-core processor, with CPU speeds of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz, with 6GB RAM. Samsung Mobile Press identifies the A27’s processor as the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while Samsung India lists CPU speeds of 2.4GHz and 1.8GHz; its cited variant has 8GB RAM. Both variants have 128GB storage.

The 2GB RAM difference gives the A27 the higher memory specification on paper, but the available information does not establish comparative benchmark results or real-world speed. The processor clock figures alone are not enough to determine which phone performs better across apps or games.

Cameras: F36 has higher-resolution ultrawide and selfie cameras
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 2MP macro camera. Their ultrawide and front-camera resolutions differ:

Those figures give the F36 an edge in listed camera resolution for the ultrawide and selfie cameras. Resolution does not by itself establish image quality, and the specifications provided do not support a broader verdict about which phone takes better photos.
Battery and charging: same capacity, different stated playback figures
Samsung lists a typical 5,000mAh battery for each phone. Its product pages state up to 17 hours of video playback for the F36 and up to 23 hours for the A27. These are Samsung’s stated maximum playback figures, not independent tests or a guarantee of mixed-use battery life; they should not be treated as a direct real-world battery comparison.

Samsung says the F36’s 25W fast charger is sold separately. Check the included accessories and charging details for the exact A27 variant before buying; the cited A27 information does not establish a directly comparable charger-in-the-box detail.
Software updates: A27 has the explicit upgrade count
Samsung Mobile Press says the A27 receives up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from its initial global launch. Samsung qualifies availability and timing by model and market. Its India product page lists security updates through July 31, 2032.

For the F36, Samsung India lists security updates through December 31, 2031, but the cited page does not state a number of OS upgrades. Do not assume the A27’s six-upgrade commitment also applies to the F36. If update longevity is a deciding factor, the A27 has the more explicit commitment in the cited information and the later listed security-support end date.
Price difference: compare the same storage and seller
The Samsung India product pages used for this comparison do not establish current transaction prices for matching variants. That means there is no verified numerical price difference or price-based winner to report. Prices, stock and offers can change, so check both phones at the same retailer and on the same date, comparing the 128GB versions and distinguishing the regular listed price from any sale price. Also account for the RAM difference: the cited F36 variant has 6GB, while the cited A27 has 8GB.
Which phone makes more sense?
- Choose the F36 on specifications if the higher listed ultrawide and selfie-camera resolutions matter more to you, or if a checked local price makes it the stronger deal.
- Choose the A27 on specifications if you want the newer launch, 8GB RAM in the cited India variant, a later listed security-support end date, or an explicit up-to-six-generation OS-upgrade commitment.
- Either may suit you if your priorities are a 6.7-inch-class FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED screen and a 5,000mAh typical battery, since both list those specifications.
Without current, like-for-like transaction prices, the evidence does not establish which phone offers better value. Verify the exact RAM and storage variant, seller and current offer before deciding.
