To set an alarm on a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet, open the built-in Clock app, select Alarm, tap the plus sign, choose a time and schedule, adjust sound or vibration if needed, then tap Save. Check that the alarm’s switch is on. Menu names and layouts can vary by One UI and Clock app version.
Set a new alarm on a Galaxy device

Open Clock and select the Alarm tab.

Tap the plus sign or Add alarm.

Choose the hour and minute.

For a recurring alarm, select the days it should repeat. For a one-time alarm on a particular date, use the calendar or date control if it appears.

Optionally add a label, then choose the sound, volume, vibration, and snooze settings you want.

Tap Save, then make sure the alarm is enabled in the list.

Samsung’s instructions for Galaxy devices describe this basic Clock-app workflow. If a control is missing or looks different, follow the labels on your device; screens can change between software and app versions. Samsung U.S. support and Samsung Japan support document alarm setup.
Choose a one-time or repeating schedule
Use the repeat-day controls for a regular weekday or weekend schedule, and verify each selected day before saving. If you need an alarm for a specific future date, choose the date control when it is available rather than assuming a non-repeating alarm is attached to that date. The available scheduling controls depend on the Clock app version.

Change an alarm or stop it from repeating

Edit: In the Alarm tab, open the alarm, change its time or options, and save.

Pause: Turn off the switch beside the alarm. This disables it while keeping its settings in the list.

Delete: Use the device’s delete action in the alarm screen. The exact control can differ by version.
Set alarm sound, vibration, and volume
Open an alarm’s settings to choose its sound, adjust the alarm’s volume slider where shown, select vibration, and set snooze interval or repeat options. Samsung’s U.S. alarm guidance also documents a setting that silences alarms when system sound is off; if an alarm appears silent, check that option as well as the alarm’s own sound and volume. Shared or per-alarm volume on One UI 7
Samsung documents two volume choices in One UI 7: one shared volume for all alarms, or an individual volume for each alarm. To find them, open Clock, tap More options, choose Settings, then Volume. Select the shared or per-alarm option available on the device. If these labels do not appear, your software or Clock app may use a different arrangement. Samsung’s One UI 7 alarm-volume guide
Use Bixby only if it is supported
On supported devices, you can invoke Bixby and ask it to set or turn off an alarm. Bixby Voice is required, and availability depends on the model, carrier, and software version. If voice control is unavailable, use the Clock app workflow instead. Samsung U.S. support

If the alarm did not alert you

Confirm that the alarm is enabled and that its time and selected repeat days are correct.

Check the alarm’s sound and volume, then check whether the option to silence alarms when system sound is off is enabled.

If you cannot find a setting, account for differences in One UI and Clock app versions before assuming it is unavailable.

Whether an alarm rings while a device is powered off is not established as a universal behavior for Galaxy phones and tablets. Check the manual or Samsung support guidance for your exact model rather than relying on a general rule.
