The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is the better fit if you want a larger 6.7-inch display; the Google Pixel 10a is the smaller 6.3-inch option, adds Qi wireless charging, and has Google’s longer stated software-update period. Price depends on which figures you compare: Samsung announced a US starting price of $549.99 for the A57, while Google announced the Pixel 10a at $499 and its Store displayed $524 on October 7, 2026. Those launch and storefront prices are not a like-for-like current-market comparison.
How do the Galaxy A57 and Pixel 10a compare?
The specifications point to different priorities, not a clear overall winner. The A57 has the larger screen and is reported to support faster wired charging. The Pixel 10a is more compact, lists Qi wireless charging and higher peak brightness, and carries Google’s seven-year software-update promise.

Official specifications are from Samsung and Google. Android Central is the source for the A57’s processor, RAM, battery, charging, and camera figures, and for its reported 1,900-nit peak brightness: Android Central’s comparison. Component specifications do not establish real-world speed, battery life, or photo quality.
What is the price difference?
Samsung’s US launch announcement on March 25, 2026, set the Galaxy A57 5G starting price at $549.99. Google announced a $499 US launch price for the Pixel 10a on February 18, 2026. On October 7, 2026, the Google Store displayed $524 for the Pixel 10a. The first two figures are launch prices; the last is a dated storefront observation, not a stable MSRP. Which screen and size should you choose?
Choose the A57 for a larger display
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It gives you more screen area for reading, video, and multitasking, but the larger size may be less convenient if you prefer a compact phone.

Choose the Pixel 10a for a smaller display and listed peak brightness
Google lists a 6.3-inch pOLED Actua display at 1080 × 2424 resolution, with a 60–120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Android Central reports a 1,900-nit peak figure for the A57; that is secondary-source reporting, not the Samsung specification in the cited US announcement. Peak-brightness figures are specifications, not a direct measure of everyday visibility in every setting.
How do charging and battery features differ?
Android Central reports a 5,000mAh battery and up to 45W wired charging for the A57, with no wireless charging. Google lists a typical 5,100mAh battery for the Pixel 10a and Qi-certified wireless charging. Battery capacity alone does not predict how long a phone lasts between charges.

Google’s fast-charge claim is specific to using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, which is sold separately: Google says that setup can charge the Pixel 10a up to 50% in about 30 minutes. The cited figures do not establish a controlled, like-for-like charging comparison between the phones.
What do the software promises mean?
Google announced seven years of software updates for the Pixel 10a. Samsung promises up to six generations of OS upgrades and long-term security support for the A57. On the stated support periods, Google’s promise is one year longer; the manufacturers’ wording is not identical, so compare the specific OS and security terms that matter to you before buying.

Do the camera specifications show which phone takes better photos?
No. Google lists a 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide rear camera. Android Central reports that the A57 has a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro camera. More cameras or a higher megapixel count do not, by themselves, establish better image quality, and the cited sources do not provide a controlled photo comparison. Google’s specifications page lists the Pixel 10a’s full camera details; Android Central reports the A57’s camera configuration.
