The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is the better fit if you want a Super AMOLED screen, optical image stabilization on the main camera, and a stated six-year software-support commitment. The vivo T5x 5G puts more emphasis on battery capacity and front-camera resolution, and its cited prices are lower—but those price figures are snapshots from different sources and configurations, not a dependable like-for-like gap.

Specifications are manufacturer-listed claims, not controlled head-to-head test results. In particular, the processor names do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use, and camera megapixel counts do not establish photo quality. Price difference: use the figures as dated snapshots
There is no reliable single price gap in the cited figures: Samsung’s numbers are March 2025 launch prices, while vivo’s store price and third-party marketplace listings were observed later and may differ by configuration, seller, stock, or offer.

Display: AMOLED versus a slightly larger LCD
Choose the A56 for AMOLED
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. If display technology is a priority, this is the clearer choice on paper.
Choose the T5x for screen size
vivo lists a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD with 2344 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Its product page also states 1200-nit HBM peak brightness. Samsung likewise publishes a 1200-nit brightness claim, but the two figures are not a controlled side-by-side measurement and should not be used to declare one screen brighter in real use.
Battery and charging: capacity favors vivo, endurance remains unproven
The T5x has a listed 7200 mAh battery, compared with the A56’s 5000 mAh typical capacity. That is a substantial capacity advantage for vivo on paper. Samsung lists 45W charging support and vivo lists 44W; the wattage figures alone do not establish actual charging time.

- The included 25W Fast Charger is a generic accessory and is not a Samsung-branded charger, 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1080x2340px, Fingerprint (under display, optical), IP67 dust and water resistance
- 256GB, 12GB, No SD Card Slot, Exynos 1580 (4nm), Octa-core, Xclipse 540 GPU, Android 15, up to 6 major Android upgrades, One UI 7
- Rear Camera: 50MP, f/1.8 + 12MP, f/2.2 + 5MP, f/2.4, Front Camera: 12MP, f/2.2, 5000mAh Battery, Bluetooth 5.3
- 4G LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/20/25/26/28/38/40/41/66, 5G: N1/3/5/7/8/20/28/38/40/41/66/77/78 - Dual SIM
- International Model – Global Connectivity – Plug & Play with an active SIM on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most U.S. carriers. New activations are supported on T-Mobile and Its MVNO's in the U.S., as some carriers may not recognize International IMEI's as Compatible. (No U.S. manufacturer warranty; Seller Return policy applies.)
Battery capacity is not the same as battery life. The cited manufacturer specifications do not provide a controlled A56-versus-T5x endurance result, so screen use, network conditions, software, and other factors may affect which lasts longer for a particular owner.
Cameras: different strengths, no proven photo-quality winner
Samsung’s rear-camera flexibility
The A56 lists a 50 MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera. OIS is a stated hardware feature; it does not by itself prove that the A56 takes better photos than the T5x.
vivo’s higher-resolution selfie camera
The T5x lists a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main rear camera, a 2 MP bokeh camera, and a 32 MP front camera. Its front-camera resolution is higher than Samsung’s listed 12 MP front camera, but megapixels alone cannot determine detail, exposure, color, or low-light results. The sources do not establish a controlled camera comparison between the phones.

Performance, software, and durability
Processor and software
Samsung identifies the A56 processor as Exynos 1580; vivo identifies the T5x processor as MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo. No controlled head-to-head benchmark in the cited material establishes a performance winner.
Samsung states that the A56 is eligible for up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. vivo’s T5x product page describes OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, but the cited page does not state a comparable support duration. If a clearly quantified update commitment matters, Samsung provides the more explicit promise in the available specifications.
Water and dust resistance
Samsung lists an IP67 rating. vivo advertises IP68 and IP69+ for the T5x, with test-condition and actual-use caveats on its product page. These ratings and claims are not a promise that either device is permanently waterproof; avoid deliberate exposure to water and follow each manufacturer’s care guidance.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G if you prioritize a Super AMOLED display, an ultra-wide rear camera, OIS on the main camera, or a stated long-term OS and security update commitment.
- Choose the vivo T5x 5G if the listed 7200 mAh battery capacity, 32 MP front camera, LCD screen, or lower observed store/listing price better fits your priorities—and you have checked the exact configuration and current price.
- Do not choose based only on processor names, megapixel counts, brightness figures, or the displayed marketplace price gap. None of those figures, by itself, proves a real-world winner.
The vivo India store listing for the selected 6GB/128GB variant says the box includes a charger, USB cable, phone case, and applied protective film. Box contents can vary by region, so verify the listing for the version you are buying: vivo India store listing.
