Both support refresh rates up to 120Hz. Which is the better buy depends on the features you value—and the current price for the same storage configuration.

The P3 Ultra’s 6.83-inch curved AMOLED panel gives it the larger listed screen area, with a 1.5K resolution. The A56 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. Both list refresh rates up to 120Hz, so refresh-rate specifications alone do not separate them.

Choose based on the form you prefer: the realme has the larger curved display, while Samsung’s listed screen is smaller and not described as curved in the cited specifications. Neither resolution or refresh rate alone tells you how the phones compare for brightness, color accuracy, viewing outdoors or touch response.
Performance and storage: what the specifications do—and do not—show
realme identifies the P3 Ultra’s chipset as the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra and lists 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage. Samsung describes the A56 processor as octa-core, with speeds up to 2.9GHz; the cited Samsung page shows an 8GB/256GB configuration.
The manufacturers do not provide a directly comparable performance test in these specifications. A chipset name, core count or maximum clock speed is not enough to declare a gaming or speed winner. If you are choosing between configurations, compare the RAM and storage you will actually buy as well as the price; the Samsung price page lists a separate 12GB/256GB option.
Cameras and video: compare the hardware, not just megapixels
The realme lists a 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Samsung lists three rear cameras at 50MP, 12MP and 5MP, and specifies OIS for the main camera. The A56 therefore has an additional listed rear camera, but the megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos.

For video, realme lists recording up to 4K at 60fps, while Samsung lists 4K at 30fps. These are supported modes on the specification pages, not a comparison of stabilization, image quality or performance in difficult lighting. For selfies, realme lists a 16MP front camera and Samsung a 12MP one; resolution by itself cannot determine selfie quality.
Battery and charging: capacity is not measured battery life
realme lists a typical 6,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging for the P3 Ultra. Samsung lists a typical 5,000mAh battery for the A56. The published figures favor realme for battery capacity and stated charging power, but they do not establish real-world runtime or the time each phone takes to charge. Those results depend on use and charging conditions, and no comparable test result is established here.
What comes in the box?
Box contents can affect what you need to buy separately. realme lists a USB-C cable, 80W adapter, protective case, SIM tool and quick guide. Samsung lists the smartphone, data cable and ejection pin, and says a travel adapter is not included. Packaging can vary by market or seller, so confirm the contents for the specific India-market unit you are purchasing.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the realme P3 Ultra if the listed larger, higher-resolution curved display, 6,000mAh typical battery, 80W charging or included adapter and case are priorities.
- Consider the Galaxy A56 5G if you prefer its listed three-camera rear configuration, or if its price at your retailer and chosen configuration works better for you.
- Compare further before deciding if gaming performance, photo quality, battery life or software-support duration is decisive.
