The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is the more clearly documented choice for an AMOLED display, an ultra-wide camera, IP67 protection and long-term software support. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite 5G looks stronger on paper for battery capacity and screen refresh rate, but its specifications and support details in available comparisons have not been confirmed here by OnePlus. The better buy depends on which of those trade-offs matters to you—and on the live price for the same storage configuration in India.
At a glance: which phone suits which buyer?
- Choose the Galaxy A56 5G if you want a Super AMOLED display, a dedicated ultra-wide rear camera, a stated IP67 rating, and Samsung’s published update commitment.
- Consider the Nord CE 6 Lite 5G if a larger listed battery capacity or a 144Hz listed refresh rate is your priority, and you can confirm the phone’s exact specifications, availability and update policy with OnePlus or the seller.
- Compare prices before deciding. The A56’s India launch prices are historical figures, while comparison-site prices can change and may refer to different storage options or sellers.

Display: AMOLED contrast or a higher listed refresh rate?
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with brightness up to 1200 nits. The comparison listing for the Nord CE 6 Lite describes a slightly larger 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate. These are different strengths: the A56’s panel type is the more direct appeal if you value AMOLED contrast, while the OnePlus listing emphasizes refresh rate. Neither panel specification alone establishes which screen looks better to you; viewing both in person is useful if display choice is decisive.

Samsung lists a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and 12MP selfie camera for the A56. Its India announcement also highlights Nightography features. The Nord CE 6 Lite’s listed arrangement is a 50MP + 2MP rear pair and a 32MP front camera, according to Gadgets 360. On the specifications available, the A56 gives you a dedicated ultra-wide focal length for fitting more into a shot. Megapixel counts do not establish real-world image quality, and no hands-on camera comparison is available here.

Battery and performance: what the listed numbers do—and do not—tell you
The Nord CE 6 Lite is listed with a 7,000mAh battery, compared with the A56’s 5,000mAh battery; both are listed with 45W charging. That gives the OnePlus a higher stated capacity on paper, but battery life cannot be inferred from capacity alone. Screen settings, software, network conditions and usage all affect runtime.
Samsung identifies the A56 processor as Exynos 1580. Comparison databases list a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex in the Nord CE 6 Lite. Those chipset names are useful identification, not proof of which phone is faster in daily use; no independent performance testing is available for this comparison.
Durability and software support
Samsung’s launch announcement specifies IP67 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the A56, along with up to six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The longer published support commitment is relevant if you expect to keep a phone for several years.

Gadgets 360 lists IP64 for the Nord CE 6 Lite, and 91mobiles lists two years of OS updates and four years of security updates. Those OnePlus details remain secondary-source claims rather than an official policy confirmation. Water- and dust-resistance ratings are not guarantees against damage, so do not treat either rating as making a phone damage-proof.
India price difference: compare the same variant on the same date
Samsung’s India announcement on 3 March 2025 gave these Galaxy A56 5G launch prices:
- 8GB RAM / 128GB storage: ₹41,999
- 8GB RAM / 256GB storage: ₹44,999
- 12GB RAM / 256GB storage: ₹47,999
Samsung also described launch-period offers that lowered effective prices for some variants; those were not current offers. Separately, 91mobiles displayed ₹33,158 for the A56 and ₹28,999 for the Nord CE 6 Lite on its comparison page when accessed for this comparison. Those are comparison-page snapshots, not official or durable prices, and may be stale, seller-specific or variant-specific. They do not establish a reliable current price gap.

Verdict: choose by the trade-off, not by a headline price
The Galaxy A56 5G is the safer choice on the documented evidence if you value its Super AMOLED display, ultra-wide camera, IP67 rating and Samsung’s stated update commitment. The Nord CE 6 Lite 5G may suit you better if its listed 7,000mAh battery and 144Hz LCD are the priorities, provided you verify those details and the support policy before buying. Because the available prices are not a like-for-like live quote, check current seller listings for matching variants rather than assuming a fixed rupee difference.
