The vivo T5 Pro has the stronger spec sheet for display size and refresh rate, battery capacity, and charging; the Samsung Galaxy A37 is lighter, offers more rear-camera options, and has the clearer, longer stated software-support commitment. In India, official listings observed on October 7, 2026 showed the 8GB/128GB vivo at ₹41,999 and the same Samsung configuration at ₹46,999—a ₹5,000 difference at those listings, not a guaranteed ongoing price gap.
At a glance: Galaxy A37 vs vivo T5 Pro
| Category | Samsung Galaxy A37 5G | vivo T5 Pro 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Price observed in India, 8GB/128GB | ₹46,999 on Samsung’s buy page | ₹41,999 on vivo’s e-store |
| Display | 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, up to 120Hz | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 2800 × 1260, 144Hz |
| Battery and charging | 5,000mAh typical capacity; comparable charging figure not stated in the consulted Samsung source | 9,020mAh; 90W charging |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro | 50MP Sony IMX882 main, 2MP bokeh |
| Front camera | 12MP | 32MP |

| Protection | IP68; Samsung specifies freshwater lab conditions | IP68 and IP69 cited in vivo’s launch release |
| Weight | 196g | 213g |
These are manufacturer-published specifications and claims, not results from controlled head-to-head testing. A larger battery or higher camera resolution does not, by itself, establish longer real-world battery life or better photos.
How much do the two phones cost?
For the matching 8GB/128GB configuration in India, Samsung’s buy page showed ₹46,999 and vivo’s e-store listed ₹41,999 when the pages were checked on October 7, 2026. That makes the observed listing difference ₹5,000 in vivo’s favor. The listings can change, and the figures do not guarantee stock, delivery availability, or the price at checkout.

Display: vivo leads on the listed specifications
The T5 Pro’s 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 AMOLED panel is larger and higher-resolution on paper than the A37’s 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. Its listed 144Hz refresh rate also exceeds the A37’s maximum of 120Hz. That may make the vivo the more appealing specification-led choice for a large screen and smoother supported motion, but these figures do not settle differences in brightness, color, or outdoor readability.
Battery and charging: a major spec-sheet advantage for vivo
vivo lists a 9,020mAh battery and 90W charging for the T5 Pro. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical-capacity battery for the A37; Samsung notes that typical capacity is estimated under laboratory conditions and actual battery life varies. The consulted Samsung source did not provide a comparable A37 charging figure, so a charging-wattage comparison cannot be made here.

The capacity difference is substantial, but it should not be translated directly into a promise about hours of use. Screen settings, network conditions, apps, and other factors affect endurance, and the available sources do not establish a neutral, controlled battery-life comparison between these phones.

The A37 has three listed rear cameras: a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. The T5 Pro pairs a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with a 2MP bokeh camera. Samsung therefore offers more listed rear-camera perspectives, including dedicated ultrawide and macro options; vivo specifies a higher-resolution front camera at 32MP versus Samsung’s 12MP.

Megapixel counts and camera roles do not establish which phone takes better photos or selfies. The available sources do not provide controlled comparative image testing, so choose based on the listed camera options rather than assuming a quality winner.
Software support: Samsung states the longer commitment
Samsung promises the Galaxy A37 up to six generations of OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates. vivo’s April 2026 launch release describes a three-year update period calculated from local launch. Samsung’s published commitment is longer, but the wording and scope are not identical: OS-upgrade generations and a security-update duration are distinct measures, while vivo’s statement is described as an update period. Consider the exact support terms important to your purchase, particularly if you plan to keep a phone for several years.

Protection and portability
Samsung rates the A37 IP68 and says its laboratory test involved freshwater submersion up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. Samsung also cautions that resistance can diminish with normal wear. vivo’s launch release describes the T5 Pro as IP68 and IP69 durable, but the consulted material does not establish identical test protocols or warranty treatment. Neither rating is permission to intentionally immerse a phone, and a protection rating does not establish that water damage is covered by warranty.
At 196g, the A37 is 17g lighter than the 213g T5 Pro. That is a straightforward listed-weight advantage for Samsung if carrying weight matters to you.
