Specifications vary by region, and listed features do not establish real-world performance. The Samsung global announcement provides the A37’s display, software and IP68 details. The vivo India E-Store listing supplies the T5 specifications and available configurations.
Which phone has the better display?
The vivo T5 5G has the larger listed panel at 6.83 inches, compared with the A37’s 6.7 inches, and vivo specifies a 2800 × 1260 resolution. Samsung identifies the A37 panel as FHD+ Super AMOLED and explicitly states a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The cited vivo listing does not state its refresh rate, so the available specifications do not support a refresh-rate comparison.

Which phone has the bigger battery and faster charging?
On the cited market-specific specifications, the vivo T5 has the larger stated capacity: 7,050mAh on its India listing versus 5,000mAh typical capacity on Samsung Korea’s domestic A37 listing. vivo also states 44W charging for the T5. The cited A37 comparison material does not state a charging wattage.
Capacity and charging ratings are not battery-life test results. They do not establish screen-on time or how quickly either phone charges in everyday use, which can depend on the charger, settings and conditions.

How do the cameras compare?
The rear-camera layouts differ. Samsung lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro camera. vivo lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, without a macro camera in the cited specification. For selfies, vivo lists a 32MP front camera and Samsung a 12MP front camera.

Which phone has clearer durability and software-support commitments?
Water and dust protection
Samsung specifies IP68 and gives conditions: lab submersion in freshwater up to 1.5m for up to 30 minutes. It also cautions that water resistance can diminish with wear. vivo advertises IP68, IP69 and military-grade durability for the T5 in India, but the cited listing does not provide matching test conditions. Those claims should not be treated as proof that the phones have equivalent protection in every situation.
Software updates
Samsung’s global announcement states up to six generations of OS/One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates, counted from the A37’s first global launch and applying to supported devices; timing varies by market. The vivo India page names OriginOS 6.0 but does not state an update duration. That omission on the cited listing does not establish that vivo has no support policy; it means the two pages do not offer equally specific commitments.

Samsung prices differ by market: Samsung’s U.S. Newsroom listed a $449.99 starting price in 2026, while Samsung Korea announced ₩598,400 for its domestic 6GB/128GB A37 in 2026. Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo T5 5G if its India configuration and local price suit you, and you prioritize the larger, higher-resolution listed screen, greater stated battery capacity or its specified 44W charging.
- Consider the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G if an explicitly stated 120Hz display, Samsung’s detailed IP68 conditions or its published update-duration commitment carry more weight for you.
- Compare the exact purchase offers for the same storage tier in your market. Check the local model code, seller, warranty, network bands, included charger and current price before ordering.
For India, vivo’s store lists a charger, phone case and pre-applied protective film in the T5 box contents. Do not assume those inclusions apply in other countries or to every seller’s listing.
