The vivo S2 5G has the larger, higher-resolution display, higher stated battery capacity, 44W charging and a higher-resolution front camera. Samsung’s Galaxy A37 5G offers a triple rear-camera setup and a clearer long-term software-support commitment. There is no fair single price difference to quote: the available prices are from different countries and configurations.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the vivo S2 for display size and stated battery capacity
The S2’s 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 display is larger and higher resolution on paper than the A37’s 6.7-inch FHD+ panel. vivo also lists a 7,050mAh typical battery and 44W charging. These are specification advantages, not proof of better viewing quality or longer runtime: no controlled head-to-head display or battery test is available here.

Choose the Galaxy A37 if long-term support is a priority
Samsung gives a specific commitment for supported Galaxy devices: up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from first global launch. Samsung qualifies availability and timing by model and market. The cited vivo page names OriginOS 6 but does not specify a support duration, so that omission should not be read as proof that vivo offers no updates.

Compare camera roles, not just megapixels
The A37 lists three rear cameras: a 50MP wide, 8MP ultrawide and 5MP macro. The S2 lists a 50MP main camera and 2MP secondary camera. For selfies, the S2’s listed 32MP front camera has more resolution than the A37’s 12MP front camera. Those counts do not establish which phone takes better photos; no verified side-by-side camera test was available.
What is the price difference?
The available figures cannot support a meaningful direct price gap. Samsung announced a U.S. starting price of $449.99 for the Galaxy A37 5G, with U.S. availability beginning April 9, 2026. This is launch-announcement pricing, not confirmation of today’s price or stock. vivo’s India store displayed ₹42,999 for the selected S2 8GB+128GB variant when accessed on October 7, 2026; the page also lists an 8GB+256GB option. The prices are in different currencies and markets, and may reflect different storage tiers, taxes and retail conditions. Do not subtract or convert them as if they were like-for-like.

For a useful comparison, check current prices in the country where you will buy and match storage capacity. Samsung’s U.S. announcement lists Awesome White availability at Amazon.com, but does not verify a current listing or stock. vivo’s selected S2 package lists a charger, case and protective film; the value of included accessories can matter when comparing local offers.

What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
- Display: The S2 has the larger and higher-resolution stated panel. Panel labels and resolution alone do not determine measured brightness, color accuracy or overall viewing quality.
- Battery: The S2 has the higher typical capacity on paper. Capacity alone does not predict runtime, which depends on software, components and usage.
- Cameras: The A37 provides more listed rear-camera roles, while the S2 has the higher stated front-camera resolution. Neither fact settles image quality.
- Performance: The cited manufacturer material does not provide a controlled performance comparison. Avoid treating component names or third-party comparison listings as a real-world speed verdict.
