The Samsung Galaxy A37 and realme 16 are not an obvious one-size-fits-all choice: the available specifications point to different strengths, while a fair price comparison depends on your country and the exact storage version. The realme 16 has clearly stated India battery and charging figures; Samsung lists an ultrawide and macro camera alongside its main camera. Check local prices and verify software-support terms before deciding.

Specifications are regional: Samsung’s cited display and camera details are from its Korea announcement, while the realme specifications and configurations above are for India. They are useful for understanding the models, but they do not establish that every market sells the same versions.
How to compare prices fairly
There is no reliable universal price difference to quote. Samsung announced the A37 at ₩598,400 for its Korean launch, with local availability beginning June 19, 2026; that figure is specific to Korea and is not a current worldwide price. Samsung India’s product page lists an 8GB/256GB version but does not establish a comparable current price here. The realme India page offers three memory/storage configurations, but the available evidence does not establish a current local selling price for any of them.
For a useful comparison, check the price in your country for the same storage tier—most directly, 8GB/256GB where both manufacturers list that configuration. Confirm the seller, stock status, warranty and whether the displayed price is a limited promotion. Marketplace prices can change and should not be treated as an enduring price gap.

Display: both list a 120Hz AMOLED screen
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz in its Korea announcement. realme’s India specifications list an AMOLED panel at 2372 × 1080 pixels and up to 120Hz. Both therefore have the headline features many buyers look for in a smooth, high-refresh-rate display. The available figures do not establish which screen looks better: brightness claims require comparable test conditions, and no hands-on comparison is available here.
Performance and memory: don’t treat a benchmark as a verdict
91mobiles reports an Exynos 1480 for the A37; realme’s India specifications identify the Dimensity 6400 Turbo in the realme 16. A direct comparison page also reports benchmark scores, but its test method has not been independently validated here. Those scores should not be read as a guaranteed everyday speed advantage.

Storage and memory may matter more to your purchase than an unverified score. Samsung India lists an 8GB/256GB A37. realme India lists 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB versions, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Check that the exact configuration is available in your market before ordering.
Cameras: compare the lenses, not just megapixels
Samsung’s Korea announcement lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro camera. realme India lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome rear camera, plus a 50MP front camera. These specifications show different camera arrangements, but megapixel counts and lens labels alone do not prove which phone takes better photos. Without reviewed sample images or controlled testing, there is no supported camera-quality winner.

Battery and charging: realme has the clearer published figures
realme India specifies a 7,000mAh typical battery capacity (6,830mAh rated) and 60W fast charging. The cited sources do not provide a primary-source A37 battery specification, so a capacity or battery-life comparison cannot be made responsibly from these figures alone. Capacity is not the same as measured endurance; actual runtime depends on use and conditions.
Software and regional details to verify
91mobiles reports Android 16 and six years of OS and security updates for the A37, and three OS-update years plus four security-update years for the realme 16. These are secondary-source claims, not confirmed commitments in the official product materials cited here. Before buying, check each manufacturer’s current terms for your country, including when the update period begins and which updates it covers. realme’s India specification page lists realme UI 7.0 but says software details are for reference and subject to the actual product.

Other specifications can also vary by region. realme’s India page says NFC is unsupported while noting that NFC availability depends on region; do not assume the India listing describes every market. Network bands and configurations may differ too. Check local product specifications against the bands and features you need.

Choose the realme 16 if
- You are shopping in India and the stated 7,000mAh typical capacity and 60W charging are priorities.
- You want the option of a 12GB/256GB configuration, if that version is available where you live.
- You want a listed 50MP front camera or prefer the realme camera configuration on paper.
Consider the Samsung Galaxy A37 if
- You value having an ultrawide and macro camera listed alongside the 50MP main camera.
- The A37’s local price, exact configuration and verified software-support terms suit your needs better.
- You prefer Samsung’s specified 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, subject to checking the version sold in your market.
These are conditional reasons to shortlist one model, not proof of an overall winner. Compare the same storage tier in your country and confirm the details that matter to you before paying.
