Samsung lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro. The front-camera specifications are 50MP autofocus for OPPO and 12MP for Samsung.
Megapixel counts, stabilization and optical zoom describe hardware, not the quality of the resulting photos or video. The available specifications do not establish which phone produces better images in real-world conditions.

How should you interpret the resistance ratings?
Samsung lists IP68 for the Galaxy A37. OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for the India CPH2865 Reno16. Follow each manufacturer’s care and warranty guidance rather than treating a rating as permission to take avoidable risks.

Which phone has the clearer software-support commitment?
Samsung states that the Galaxy A37 is eligible for up to six generations of OS/One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. Samsung lists Android 16 for the phone. OPPO lists ColorOS 16.0 for the cited India Reno16 page, but the cited information does not establish an equivalent update-duration commitment. If long-term update coverage is a priority, Samsung’s stated duration is the clearer commitment in these specifications.
What are the published prices, and is there a direct price difference?
The available official prices are from different markets, dates and configurations, so they do not support a like-for-like price difference or a meaningful ranking of which phone is cheaper overall.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy A37 5G if you want the larger listed display or value Samsung’s explicit commitment of up to six OS/One UI generations and up to six years of security updates.
- Consider the India Reno16 5G if its listed camera layout—with a 3.5× optical telephoto—its higher typical battery capacity, 80W charging or its stated resistance ratings better match your priorities.
- Compare local prices before deciding because the published Samsung and OPPO figures here refer to different countries and configurations, not a direct price matchup.
Neither spec sheet settles real-world camera performance, speed, battery life or durability. Those outcomes require comparable testing of the actual regional models.
