The Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy M47 5G share a 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display and 50MP main camera, but their published configurations differ: the M47 has a larger stated battery, while the A37 is lighter and its Korean specification lists an OIS-equipped main camera plus an 8MP ultrawide. There is no reliable price difference to calculate from the available official figures: A37 prices are published for the U.S. and South Korea, while the M47 material is for India and does not establish a dependable current price.
At a glance: the published specifications are for different markets
Samsung’s official figures describe the A37 in South Korea and the United States, and the M47 in India. They should not be treated as one global configuration. In particular, the Korean A37 listing specifies 6GB RAM and 128GB storage; Samsung India lists three M47 memory and storage variants.
| Specification | Galaxy A37 5G | Galaxy M47 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Market and configuration basis | South Korea listing; 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. U.S. launch pricing is also available. | India product pages; 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB variants. |
| Display | 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, up to 120Hz (South Korea listing). | FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz; 1080 × 2340 resolution. Samsung lists 16.91 cm full rectangle and 16.45 cm accounting for rounded corners (India page). |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro (South Korea listing). | 50MP + 5MP + 2MP; OIS is listed (India page). |
| Front camera | 12MP (South Korea listing). | 12MP (India page). |
| Battery | 5,000mAh (South Korea listing). | 6,000mAh typical; Samsung states 5,882mAh rated minimum (India page). |

| Software and support | Android 16 listed at launch in South Korea; the cited launch information does not state a comparable long-term upgrade commitment. | Android 16 user manual; Samsung India states six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from first global launch. Samsung notes that its policy may change. |
Display: similar headline specs, different listed measurements
Both phones are listed with FHD+ Super AMOLED panels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung’s Korean A37 announcement gives a 6.7-inch diagonal. The M47 India page gives measurements in centimeters: 16.91cm across the full rectangle and 16.45cm when rounded corners are taken into account. Those measurement conventions explain why a diagonal may not match exactly across product pages; the published details alone do not establish a meaningful viewing-quality difference.

The Korean A37 configuration has three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. The India M47 specification lists 50MP, 5MP, and 2MP rear cameras and includes OIS. Samsung’s cited M47 material does not provide enough detail here to assign the stabilization claim to a specific camera or to infer equivalent ultrawide or macro capabilities from megapixel counts alone. Both listings specify a 12MP front camera.

Battery and weight: M47 lists more capacity; A37 weighs less
Samsung lists a 6,000mAh typical battery for the India M47 and gives its rated minimum as 5,882mAh. The Korean A37 listing gives 5,000mAh. These are manufacturer capacity figures, not measured screen-on time: they cannot show how long either phone lasts under a particular mix of apps, network conditions, brightness, or refresh rate.

The listed weights are 206g for the M47 and 196g for the Korean A37, a 10g difference between those documented configurations. Dimensions beyond the M47 display measurements above are not established by the cited specifications, so this comparison cannot quantify which is slimmer or smaller overall.

Software support: M47 has the clearer published commitment
Samsung’s India M47 material explicitly promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from the first global launch, while reserving the possibility that the policy may change. The Korean A37 launch information confirms Android 16 but does not provide a comparable support-period commitment. That omission is not evidence that the A37 will receive less support; it means the cited launch details do not support a like-for-like duration comparison.

Price difference: no fair same-market comparison is established
Samsung announced the A37 at a U.S. starting price of $449.99, with U.S. availability beginning April 9, 2026. Separately, Samsung Korea announced a price of ₩598,400 for its 6GB/128GB listing, with release on June 19, 2026. Those are distinct country-specific prices, not two values to convert into a global A37 price. The captured Samsung India M47 product information does not provide a dependable current price.
To decide which is cheaper where you live, compare current local listings for both phones in the same country. Match RAM and storage, and account for taxes, retailer discounts, and whether a price is promotional. The official figures above do not establish a direct A37-versus-M47 price gap.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose based on the A37’s documented configuration if the lower listed weight, 50MP OIS main camera, and 8MP ultrawide are priorities. The cited camera and weight specifications are for the South Korean A37 configuration.
- Consider the M47’s published specifications if you value its larger stated typical battery, its three India-listed memory/storage options, or Samsung India’s explicit software-support policy.
- Compare local prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor. The published A37 prices and M47 documentation cover different markets, so they cannot establish which model is cheaper in your region.
Neither specification sheet establishes real-world performance, gaming speed, camera results, or battery endurance. For those questions, seek independent tests of the exact regional variants you can buy.
