These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. Screen size does not establish display quality, camera megapixels do not establish photo quality, and battery capacity does not predict runtime on its own.
How much more does the vivo X300 FE cost?
For India, Samsung’s launch announcement listed the Galaxy A36 at ₹32,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹35,999 for 8GB/256GB, and ₹38,999 for 12GB/256GB. vivo’s May 2026 launch announcement listed the X300 FE at ₹79,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹89,999 for 12GB/512GB. On the closest matching 256GB configurations, the launch-price difference was ₹44,000: ₹79,999 minus ₹35,999.
That comparison is between announced India launch prices, not a promise of today’s checkout price. At access time in 2026, vivo’s India store displayed ₹94,999 for a selected X300 FE 12GB/256GB listing, ₹15,000 above vivo’s announced launch price for that configuration. Check current local listings and the exact storage variant before deciding; Samsung’s and vivo’s prices may change independently.

Samsung separately announced a US starting price of $399.99 in a 2025 US newsroom release. That is a historical US launch figure and should not be compared directly with India rupee prices.
Which phone has the better screen and form factor?
The A36 gives you a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch AMOLED display is smaller and listed at 2640 × 1216 resolution. Pick the A36 if a larger viewing area is your priority; the X300 FE is the more compact option on screen size alone. Resolution and panel names do not provide a complete, like-for-like assessment of brightness, color, or outdoor readability.
Are the X300 FE’s processor and cameras worth the premium?
Samsung names the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for the A36, while vivo names the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the X300 FE. Those chipset names establish different product positioning, but the specifications cited here do not include comparable benchmark or real-world performance tests. Do not treat them as proof of a specific speed difference in everyday use.

The rear-camera layouts differ more clearly. The A36 has a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro camera. The X300 FE pairs a 50MP OIS main camera with a 50MP OIS telephoto and an 8MP wide camera. Its dedicated telephoto hardware gives it a camera option the listed A36 setup does not have, but megapixel counts and camera hardware alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos.
The X300 FE also lists a 50MP autofocus front camera, compared with the A36’s 12MP front camera. That is a difference in published hardware, not a portrait, selfie, or video-quality verdict.
Optional telephoto extender
vivo announced a separately purchased ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 with a stated 200mm focal length. It is not included in the standard phone package, is described as compatible only with the X300 FE, and is sold with an accessories kit at select retailers. vivo listed a ₹15,999 India launch price inclusive of taxes; check availability and current pricing before treating that as a present-day cost.

Which phone has the stronger battery and charging specifications?
vivo lists the X300 FE with a 6,500mAh typical battery capacity and a 6,350mAh rated capacity, versus Samsung’s 5,000mAh typical figure for the A36. vivo specifies up to 90W FlashCharge when using the original charger and cable; actual charging power varies. Samsung specifies 45W charging for the A36. These figures favor the X300 FE on stated capacity and maximum charging power, but they do not establish how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in a particular user’s conditions.
