On the listed specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G offers a 6.6-inch 120 Hz display and longer stated software support. Those differences do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.

Which phone’s screen and performance suit you?
Choose around the display size and refresh rate
The Motorola listing specifies a 6.8-inch display with up to 144 Hz refresh, compared with the A35’s 6.6-inch display and up to 120 Hz. Motorola’s screen is also listed at a higher resolution, 2772 × 1272 versus Samsung’s FHD+ 1080 × 2340. These are specification differences, not independent measurements of brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility.

Do not infer a chipset comparison from the clock speeds
Motorola names the Dimensity 8500 Extreme. Samsung’s cited UK page lists an octa-core CPU with 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz frequencies but does not name the chipset in the cited excerpt. That information is not enough to make a reliable processor-speed or gaming-performance ranking.
How do the cameras compare?
The A35 has three listed rear-camera resolutions—50 MP, 8 MP, and 5 MP—with optical image stabilization listed. Motorola’s official support specifications name a 50 MP main camera with OIS and a 50 MP ultrawide. The front-camera resolutions are 13 MP for Samsung and 50 MP for Motorola.

Megapixel counts alone cannot determine image quality. The available specifications do not provide controlled photo comparisons, so they cannot support a claim that either phone takes better pictures or selfies. Check camera samples from the exact regional model if photo quality is central to your decision.

Battery figures are not a real-world endurance test
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh battery and claims up to 26 hours of video playback and up to 83 hours of audio playback. Motorola lists a 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery, 90 W wired charging, and 5 W wired reverse charging. Battery capacity and charging specifications favor the Motorola listing on paper, but the sources do not establish comparative everyday battery life or charging time.

Samsung lists a longer update commitment
Samsung states that the A35 receives up to four generations of OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates. Motorola’s support specifications list Android 16 and up to three years for OS upgrades plus security patches. Samsung cautions that its policy and update timing or availability can change or vary; support terms may also depend on market and model, so verify the current policy for the handset you plan to buy.
