Choose the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G if you value an AMOLED screen, optical image stabilization and an ultrawide rear camera, or Samsung’s stated six-year software-support policy. Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite 5G if its listed 144Hz display, larger 7,000mAh battery and 45W charging matter more. Those are specification-based trade-offs, not a verdict from hands-on testing.

Price difference in India
When accessed in 2026, 91mobiles displayed Amazon India listings of ₹22,470 for the Galaxy A17 5G and ₹28,999 for the Nord CE 6 Lite 5G—a displayed gap of ₹6,529. The page does not establish that those listings are matching RAM and storage variants, and marketplace prices can change. Treat the gap as a dated snapshot, not a current or like-for-like price comparison; check the seller, offers and exact configuration before buying.

Which phone has the better display?
Samsung: AMOLED contrast
Samsung’s launch announcement specifies a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel. AMOLED may suit buyers who prioritize deep blacks and high contrast, but the specification alone cannot establish which phone looks better in person.
OnePlus: higher listed refresh rate
The 91mobiles comparison lists a 6.72-inch LCD at 144Hz for OnePlus, versus 90Hz for Samsung. The OnePlus figure indicates a higher listed refresh rate, which may appeal to people who prioritize smoother motion. Panel type and refresh rate describe different trade-offs; no controlled display test is available here to establish overall superiority.

Camera hardware: stabilization and lens flexibility
Samsung’s documented rear setup pairs a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultrawide and a macro lens. OIS can help reduce blur from small hand movements, while an ultrawide gives a wider framing option than a standard main camera.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsOnePlus lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth-assist camera. The documented hardware gives Samsung the clearer choice for buyers specifically seeking OIS and an ultrawide lens. That does not prove better photos: sensor processing, lighting and software matter, and megapixel counts do not establish image quality. The listed front-camera resolutions are 13MP for Samsung on 91mobiles and 8MP for OnePlus on its product page; resolution alone cannot determine selfie quality.

Battery capacity and charging
The comparison listing gives the OnePlus a 7,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh and 25W. On listed capacity and charging rate, OnePlus has the advantage. These figures are specifications, not independent endurance or charging-time results: actual battery life varies with usage, network conditions, screen brightness and software.

Keep update promises separate from performance claims
Samsung states that the Galaxy A17 5G receives six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. OnePlus’s claim of up to 60 months of “smooth performance” is based on OnePlus Test Lab data and is not the same kind of promise as a specified number of OS upgrades or years of security updates. Buyers prioritizing a clearly stated update period have a more explicit commitment from Samsung.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

Durability claims are not interchangeable
Samsung lists IP54 protection and front Gorilla Glass Victus in its India announcement. OnePlus says the Nord CE 6 Lite was tested to MIL-STD-810H standards. These are different claims and do not, by themselves, show which phone will survive a particular accident better.

Both support memory-card expansion, with a slot caveat
Samsung states support for microSD cards up to 2TB. OnePlus also states support for memory cards up to 2TB, but notes that the card shares a SIM slot. Confirm the local variant’s slot arrangement and your SIM needs before choosing the OnePlus or buying a card.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G if you prefer an AMOLED panel, want OIS and an ultrawide camera, or place particular weight on Samsung’s stated six Android upgrade generations and six years of security updates.
- Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite 5G if the higher listed refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity and faster rated charging are your priorities.
- Compare prices carefully if cost decides it: the available 2026 marketplace snapshot is not confirmed to compare equivalent storage variants, and Samsung’s listed launch prices are historical.
Neither specification sheet establishes a universal winner. The right choice depends on which of these documented trade-offs matters most to you.
