For most buyers who care about screen clarity and camera flexibility, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is the stronger pick; the Galaxy F70e 5G makes more sense if you prioritize a 120Hz display and a larger battery. In India, their equivalent 6GB/128GB launch prices differed by ₹5,000, but that historical gap is not a reliable guide to today’s price: Samsung’s current A17 listing shows ₹26,999, and a comparable current F70e price was not established.
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G vs Galaxy F70e 5G: specifications
This comparison covers the India-market 5G models. The phones make different trade-offs: the A17 offers a sharper AMOLED screen and more versatile rear cameras, while the F70e pairs a faster-refreshing but lower-resolution LCD with a higher-capacity battery.

Which phone has the better display?
Choose the A17 for resolution and panel type
The A17’s 1080 × 2340 Super AMOLED display has substantially more pixels than the F70e’s 720 × 1600 PLS LCD. That makes the A17 the better specification choice for fine text and detailed images, while AMOLED is a different panel technology from the F70e’s LCD.

Choose the F70e for refresh rate
The F70e supports up to 120Hz, compared with up to 90Hz on the A17. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother, but it does not make the screen sharper. The choice is therefore higher resolution and AMOLED on the A17 versus a higher maximum refresh rate on the F70e.

Camera differences: OIS and an ultrawide camera versus a simpler setup
The A17 has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras. The F70e lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera; Samsung’s specification page does not list OIS for it. OIS helps counter camera movement, but these specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts are not a substitute for image-quality testing.
Battery capacity, charging and durability
The F70e has a 6,000mAh typical-capacity battery, against 5,000mAh typical for the A17. Both list 25W wired charging. The larger rated capacity gives the F70e an advantage on paper, but it does not prove longer real-world battery life: actual endurance depends on use and needs comparable testing.

Both phones are rated IP54. This indicates protection against dust and water splashes; it is not a rating for submersion. Samsung also lists Gorilla Glass Victus on the A17’s front, while the F70e is described as having a leather-finish back.

Which one should you buy?
- Pick the Galaxy A17 5G if a sharper FHD+ AMOLED screen, OIS on the main camera, an ultrawide camera, or explicitly stated microSD expansion matters most.
- Pick the Galaxy F70e 5G if you prefer a 120Hz refresh rate or want the larger stated battery capacity.
- Compare live prices before deciding. The ₹5,000 difference applies to the matching launch figures, not necessarily to today’s offers.
Samsung’s chip announcements identify the Exynos 1330 in the A17 and Dimensity 6300 in the F70e, but the available specifications do not establish a performance winner. Both phones also have IP54 ratings, 25W charging, and six-year software-support commitments, so those features are less useful as tie-breakers than screen, camera, battery and current price.
