Yes. Samsung provides tools for finding supported Galaxy Buds. Depending on your phone, software and installed apps, you can start with SmartThings Find, Samsung Find or the Galaxy Wearable app’s Find My Earbuds entry point. These tools can show a Buds location on a map and may offer nearby search, refresh, navigation, Lost mode, left-behind notifications, location sharing or a ringing sound. The available actions depend on the Buds model, battery state, Bluetooth connection and whether the earbuds are inside their charging case.

What Samsung’s “Find My Earbuds” feature actually is

“Find My Earbuds” is not a separate piece of hardware hidden in every pair of Buds. It is the user-facing route to Samsung’s device-location services. Samsung’s US support guidance says that missing Galaxy Buds can be located with SmartThings Find or Samsung Find. On some phones, the Galaxy Wearable app provides the most obvious starting point; on others, you open one of the Samsung finding apps directly.

The services combine the information available for your particular Buds and phone. A map may show a recorded or available location, while a nearby-search function can help when you are close enough for the earbuds to be detected. A refresh control requests an updated status. If the earbuds are still connected to the phone by Bluetooth, a Ring command can make them beep, which is useful under a sofa cushion or in another nearby room.

  • EXCEPTIONAL AUDIO: Catch details like never before. Designed with a High-Res Audio¹ 24-bit hi-fi codec, the latest Galaxy earbuds maintain the integrity of your favorite audio over Bluetooth.
  • TWO-WAY SPEAKER: Enjoy every audio experience to the fullest with two speakers in both Buds, including a tweeter for rich highs and a woofer for deep, full lows.
  • HD VOICE: Enjoy clear phone calls with Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy S26 Series² —they work together to deliver crisp and clear conversations.
  • ANC 2.0: Wherever you go, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation 2.0³ intelligently adapts in real time to provide stronger, smoother noise cancellation wherever you go.
  • OPTIMIZED COMFORT: Enjoy that just-right fit, with an improved, ear-hugging design and changeable ear tips.

That sentence describes the feature’s purpose, not a promise that every lost pair can always be recovered. Battery depletion, a missing case, model-specific restrictions and the phone’s software determine what you can do in practice.

Which Samsung app or website should you use?

Galaxy Wearable

Open Galaxy Wearable when it is installed and your Buds have previously been paired with the phone. Look for the Find My Earbuds entry. Selecting it can hand you off to SmartThings Find or Samsung Find, depending on the device configuration. This route is convenient because it starts from the Buds you already manage in the wearable app.

SmartThings Find

SmartThings Find is Samsung’s device-finding service. It can present the earbuds on a map and expose controls such as Search nearby, Refresh and Ring. The exact control set is model- and software-dependent. Samsung also documents SmartThings Find access through its website, so a browser can be useful when your usual phone is unavailable.

Samsung Find

Samsung Find is another Samsung app for locating supported devices. Samsung’s regional instructions describe selecting the Buds on a map and, where supported, choosing the left or right earbud individually. If your phone offers Samsung Find rather than SmartThings Find, use that app; the underlying result still depends on the Buds’ last available connection and battery state.

How to locate Galaxy Buds from a phone

Use the route that appears on your phone. Labels and hand-off screens can vary by device, One UI release and app version, so do not assume that a menu shown on another Samsung phone will be identical.

  1. Open the available entry point. Start Galaxy Wearable and choose Find My Earbuds, or open SmartThings Find or Samsung Find from the phone’s app list.
  2. Select your Buds. If more than one Samsung device is listed, choose the Galaxy Buds set that is missing. Samsung Find may show separate left and right earbuds; select the side you are trying to recover.
  3. Check the map. Read the location shown for the Buds. Treat it as the location information Samsung can currently provide, not as proof that both earbuds are together at that exact moment.
  4. Use Refresh. Refresh the listing when you need the service to check for a newer status. A refresh cannot create a location if the Buds have no usable battery or connection.
  5. Try Search nearby when you are close. Follow the nearby-search screen and move slowly through the area where the map points. This option is not available for every model or situation; some models cannot perform nearby search while the earbuds are inside the charging case.
  6. Choose Ring if the earbuds are connected. Start the sound and listen in quiet intervals. Ringing requires a Bluetooth connection between the phone and earbuds, so the command may be unavailable or ineffective when they are out of Bluetooth range, powered off or sealed in a case that prevents the supported detection method.
  7. Use optional actions only when they appear. Depending on the route and model, you may see Navigate, Lost mode, Notify when left behind or Share location. These controls are not guaranteed on every phone or in every market.

Using SmartThings Find in a browser

Samsung US also documents SmartThings Find through its website. Open the service in a browser, sign in with the Samsung account associated with the Buds and select the earbuds from the device list. The page can show the Buds on a map and provides a Ring control when the conditions for ringing are met.

Browser access is most useful when your primary phone is lost, damaged or unavailable. It does not bypass the Buds’ technical limits: a website cannot locate earbuds whose batteries are completely depleted, and it cannot make a Bluetooth-only Ring command work without a Bluetooth connection.

What the map, nearby search and Ring controls mean

Map location

A map view gives you a place to start looking. The displayed point can represent the information Samsung has for the earbuds at that time. If the earbuds have moved, lost power or stopped communicating, the map may not update. Check the timestamp or status shown by the app when available, and use Refresh before deciding that the displayed point is current.

Search nearby

Search nearby is intended for the final part of a recovery: you are already near the mapped area and need help narrowing the search. Walk around the room, vehicle or outdoor spot indicated by the app and watch for a detection change. Samsung specifically notes that some models do not support nearby search while the earbuds remain inside their charging case, so an apparently empty nearby-search result does not prove that the Buds are not there.

Ring

Ring is the audible-finding option. It is most effective when the earbuds are powered and connected to the phone over Bluetooth. Search in a quiet environment and pause other audio so the beeps are easier to hear. If Ring is disabled, check Bluetooth and the earbuds’ charge before assuming that the feature is broken.

Navigate, Lost mode and notifications

Some configurations expose a navigation action, a Lost mode and a notification when the Buds are left behind. These are additional controls, not universal features. If the app offers Lost mode, follow its on-screen setup; if it offers a left-behind notification, enable it for future prevention after the immediate search. A location-sharing control, when present, lets you share the device location through the Samsung service’s supported workflow.

Supported Galaxy Buds models

Samsung’s regional SmartThings Find device list includes the following Galaxy Buds families. The list is regional guidance rather than a guarantee that every function appears on every phone, account or market.

Samsung notes that app availability depends on the connected phone’s software. A supported model can therefore show a different menu from the screenshots or instructions for another phone. Update the relevant Samsung app and check the route offered on your device before treating a missing control as a hardware failure.

Important limits before you start searching

A completely dead battery stops locating

If both the earbuds and the charging case batteries are completely depleted, Samsung says the earbuds cannot be located. There is no map refresh or Ring command that can revive a fully unpowered set. Start with the last location shown by the service and search physically if the battery has since run out.

The case cannot be located by itself

If only the charging case is missing while the earbuds are elsewhere, Samsung’s regional guidance says the case cannot be checked separately. The finding tools are for supported Buds, not an independent tracker built into the empty case. Search for the last place where you used or stored the case rather than expecting a separate case icon.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Bluetooth is required for ringing

Ringing works only while the earbuds and phone are connected by Bluetooth. A map entry may still be visible even when Ring is unavailable, but the sound command requires that active connection. Move closer to the mapped point, make sure Bluetooth is on and check that the Buds are not disconnected before trying again.

Case position can change nearby-search behavior

Some models do not support nearby search while the earbuds are inside their charging case. If you believe the closed case is nearby, look for the case physically and use the map or last known location as your guide. Do not interpret the lack of nearby-search support as evidence that the earbuds are out of range.

Troubleshooting common failure scenarios

The Buds do not appear in the app

  • Open the Galaxy Wearable app and look for the Buds you previously paired, then try its Find My Earbuds entry.
  • If Galaxy Wearable does not provide that entry, open SmartThings Find or Samsung Find directly.
  • Confirm that you are using the Samsung account associated with the Buds and that the phone’s software supports the installed app.
  • Check another Samsung route, including the SmartThings Find website, because app availability and menu paths vary by phone and software version.

The map shows a location but it will not update

Use Refresh once you are in the area and inspect the status shown by the service. A stale point can result from depleted batteries, a lost connection or the Buds being outside the conditions needed for a new report. Continue with a physical search around the displayed point rather than repeatedly refreshing without moving.

Ring is unavailable or silent

  • Confirm that the phone and earbuds are connected over Bluetooth.
  • Move nearer to the location shown on the map.
  • Check whether the earbuds are powered and whether they may be inside the charging case.
  • If the model does not expose Ring in your app, use the map, Search nearby or another available action instead.

Only one earbud is missing

Samsung Find may let you select the left or right earbud separately. Choose the missing side before checking the map or starting an available action. Keep the other earbud in a safe place so it does not get misplaced while you search.

How to use the feature before an earbud goes missing

  1. Pair the Buds with the phone and open Galaxy Wearable so the Buds are recognized.
  2. Locate the Find My Earbuds entry and confirm that it opens the relevant Samsung finding service.
  3. Learn where your phone displays the map, Refresh, Search nearby and Ring controls.
  4. If your configuration offers Notify when left behind, enable it and review the conditions shown by the app.
  5. Record which Samsung account and app route you used, so you can reach the same device listing from another phone or the SmartThings Find website if necessary.

Testing the menu while the Buds are available teaches you which controls your specific model and phone actually support. It also avoids discovering during an urgent search that a feature is hidden behind a different Samsung app.

What you can reasonably expect from Samsung’s solution

Samsung’s tools are useful for narrowing a search and, when Bluetooth remains active, making nearby earbuds beep. They are not a guarantee of recovery, a substitute for a physical search or a way to track an empty charging case independently. The most reliable plan is to use the map first, refresh near the displayed area, try nearby search when supported and reserve Ring for a live Bluetooth connection.

Because Samsung changes app routes and menus by phone software, model and region, follow the labels shown on your own device. The Galaxy Wearable entry, SmartThings Find, Samsung Find and the documented browser route are alternative doorways to the same practical goal: identifying where supported Galaxy Buds can still be detected and choosing the recovery action your setup allows.
