Samsung FE means “Fan Edition.” Samsung uses the name for a range of Galaxy phones, tablets, and earbuds that bring selected Galaxy features to FE products. As of October 8, 2026, Samsung UK lists the Galaxy S26 FE as its latest FE smartphone.
What does FE mean on a Samsung phone?
FE stands for Fan Edition, according to Samsung’s explanation of the FE range. Samsung says the series draws on fan feedback and brings selected Galaxy features to FE devices. That is Samsung’s description of its product positioning, not a promise that every FE model contains the same features or a fixed set of fan-requested changes.
FE is a product family, not just a phone label. Samsung includes Galaxy S-series FE smartphones, Galaxy Tab FE tablets, and Galaxy Buds FE earbuds.

Is a Samsung FE phone the same as a flagship?
Samsung positions FE phones as offering selected premium Galaxy experiences; the FE name itself does not establish that a phone matches every feature or capability of another Galaxy S-series model. To compare particular phones, check their published specifications for screen size and resolution, camera hardware and software features, memory and storage, battery capacity, and charging support.
Those specifications can help identify practical differences, but they do not establish real-world battery life, performance, or which phone is the better buy for every person. Samsung’s announcement and specification pages are not independent comparative tests. Prices, storage options, colors, and availability also depend on market, retailer, and carrier; check current local listings rather than applying a price or configuration from another country.

What to check before buying an FE phone
- Confirm which FE model is currently sold in your country; “latest” can change over time.
- Check the local product page for the exact storage configuration and specifications you want.
- Review what is included in the box. Samsung says the Galaxy S26 FE’s 45W power adapter is sold separately.
- If buying a charger, case, or screen protector separately, verify that it is compatible with the Galaxy S26 FE and your region.
How Samsung described the previous FE generation
In Samsung’s September 4, 2025 announcement of the Galaxy S25 FE, Jay Kim, Samsung Electronics’ Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office for Mobile eXperience Business, called that phone “a gateway into the broader Galaxy AI ecosystem.” The statement concerned the S25 FE and reflects Samsung’s positioning of that previous generation; it is not a statement specifically about the S26 FE. Samsung’s S25 FE announcement provides the context.
