To turn up a Samsung curved monitor’s volume, use its on-screen controls to raise the level and check that it is not muted. If sound remains low or absent, confirm the monitor has speakers and that your computer or other source is sending audio to it.
Raise the monitor volume and check mute

Use the monitor’s physical control to open its menu or volume control. The control’s location and operation depend on the model.

Raise the volume and make sure mute is off. Samsung’s monitor sound troubleshooting guidance recommends increasing volume with the monitor controls.

Do not assume every Samsung curved monitor uses the same button sequence. For example, an excerpt from the G55T user manual says to adjust volume by moving the JOG button left or right. That instruction is specific to that model. Find your model number on the rear label or in the monitor’s information screen, then consult its Samsung manual for the matching controls and menu names.

Check whether your monitor has built-in speakers
Samsung curved monitors do not all have speakers. Check the specifications for your exact model rather than relying on the curved-monitor description or appearance. As one example of model variation, Samsung Canada’s T55 product page says built-in 5 W speakers are available only on the 27-inch and 32-inch models in that range.
If your model has no built-in speakers, raising its volume cannot produce sound from the monitor itself. Samsung says external speakers can be used for a gaming monitor without built-in speakers; before choosing speakers, check which audio output your monitor provides and confirm the speakers support that connection.

Make sure the source device sends audio to the monitor
A computer or other connected device may be playing sound through a different output, or its own volume may be muted. Check the source device’s volume and mute state, then select the Samsung monitor as the audio output if you want sound to come from its built-in speakers. Samsung’s troubleshooting instructions cover selecting the monitor as the output on Windows and macOS.

Some monitor models also offer a speaker-selection setting. Where that option is present, Samsung says to open the Sound menu, go to Speaker Select, and choose TV Speaker to use the monitor’s built-in speakers. Menu options vary by model, so use this step only if your monitor has that setting.

Reconnect and check the audio connection
If the volume, mute state, speaker availability, and output selection are correct but sound is still poor or missing, check the connection between the source and monitor. Samsung recommends unplugging and reconnecting cables at both ends and testing with known-working cables. A faulty or loose connection can interrupt audio even when the volume settings look right.

Speaker selection is available: Choose TV Speaker in the Sound menu if you want to use the monitor’s built-in speakers.

Settings appear correct but sound is unreliable: Reconnect both ends of the cable and test with a known-working cable.
