Open Contacts and filter the list by storage location. On supported Samsung phones, tap More options (three dots) > View by storage location, then choose the SIM entry. The SIM-specific list shows contacts stored on the SIM, rather than every contact on the phone.

Samsung documents this route in its Colombia support guide, updated January 21, 2026. Menu names and availability can differ by model, carrier, software version, and region. If your Contacts app has a different menu
On phones running Android 14 or earlier, Samsung documents another route: tap the three-line Menu, choose All contacts, then use the storage filter at the top of the list to select the SIM. Labels vary, so look for a storage-location or list filter rather than assuming one exact menu name is universal. Samsung’s viewing instructions.

If you cannot find a SIM option

Check that the list is not filtered to a different account or storage location. All contacts may combine contacts from the SIM, phone storage, and online accounts, so that view alone does not identify where an individual contact is saved.

If no SIM entry appears, the cited Samsung guidance does not establish a universal cause. Check support instructions for your phone model and software version; the available screens and settings vary.

Viewing is different from importing or exporting
Filtering the list only shows where contacts are stored; it does not move them. To copy contacts, use the separate import or export controls. Samsung’s One UI 7-or-later instructions give the path Contacts > More options > Settings > Import contacts or Export contacts. Older versions may use different labels. Samsung’s import and export instructions.

Physical SIM and eSIM are not the same
The SIM filter described above concerns contacts stored on a SIM. Samsung says Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 or later no longer support saving contacts directly to an eSIM; eSIM contact-storage instructions vary by Android version.
