To hide your number on a supported Samsung phone, open the Phone app and go to More options (three dots) → Settings → Supplementary services → Show your caller ID, then select Never. This asks your carrier not to show your number on outgoing voice calls; whether it works depends on your country and mobile network.
Hide your caller ID in the Samsung Phone app
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap More options (the three dots), then tap Settings.
- Tap Supplementary services, then Show your caller ID.
- Select Never to request that your number not be displayed on outgoing calls.
Samsung notes that menu names and paths can vary by Android version. If you do not see these options, check your phone’s call settings for a caller ID control or ask your mobile network provider whether the feature is supported. Samsung’s support instructions document this path and the available choices.
What the three caller ID choices mean
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Never | Requests that your number be hidden on outgoing voice calls. |
| Always | Requests that your number be displayed. |
| Network default | Leaves caller ID handling to your SIM or mobile network operator. |
These are requests, not a guarantee that every network or recipient will handle the call in the same way. Samsung states that some carriers and countries do not allow number hiding. If your number still appears after selecting Never, contact your carrier to check availability and how caller ID is managed on your line.

The setting applies to outgoing voice calls. It does not hide caller identification on text messages, according to Samsung. It also should not be treated as comprehensive anonymity: it changes whether your number is displayed to the call recipient, not every way your identity or call may be handled.

Why a hidden-number call may not get through
Some people block calls from numbers that do not show caller ID, so a call made with Never selected may not reach them. Samsung’s European Galaxy Z Fold6 manual describes a setting to block calls from callers who do not show caller ID and says blocked-number calls are logged in the call log. That manual guidance is specific to that model and region; call features can vary by device and carrier. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 European user manual.
