For a smaller handset with Samsung’s specified 3× optical telephoto camera, choose the Galaxy S25; for a larger screen and higher stated battery capacity and wired charging, consider the Motorola Edge 60 Pro. In India storefront listings accessed on October 7, 2026, both models had 12GB/256GB options: the S25 displayed at ₹84,999 and the Edge 60 Pro at ₹33,999. That is a ₹51,000 displayed-price difference, but store prices and offers can change.
How the Galaxy S25 and Edge 60 Pro differ
These phones suit different priorities rather than representing the same size class at different prices. Samsung lists a 6.2-inch display and a 162g weight for the Galaxy S25. Motorola’s India specification page lists a 6.7-inch display for the Edge 60 Pro; its UK page lists a weight of 186g, so that weight should not be assumed to apply to every regional variant.
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S25 | Motorola Edge 60 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; adaptive 1–120Hz | India specification: 6.7-inch 1.5K (2712 × 1220) curved pOLED; 120Hz |
| Dimensions and weight | 70.5 × 146.9 × 7.2 mm; 162 g | UK specification: 160.69 × 73.06 × 8.24 mm; 186 g |
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy | MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme (India specification) |
| Rear camera hardware | 50MP main with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom | India specification lists a triple rear camera and 50MP main camera |
| Battery and charging | 4,000mAh typical capacity; 25W wired charging. 25W adapter sold separately. | India specification: 6,000mAh; 90W TurboPower wired and 15W wireless charging |
| Durability and wireless connectivity | IP68; Wi-Fi 7 listed | UK support page lists IP68/IP69, MIL-STD-810H and Wi-Fi 6E |
These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent performance results. A higher resolution or refresh rate does not by itself establish better display quality, and battery capacity or charging wattage does not establish longer real-world battery life. Protection ratings are not a guarantee against damage. Samsung notes that network and market conditions can affect listed connectivity.
What is the price difference in India?
The figures below are manufacturer-store observations accessed October 7, 2026, not guaranteed checkout prices. Both rows compare 12GB RAM and 256GB storage; Samsung’s listing showed its MRP as well as its displayed price, while Motorola’s listing also showed its MRP.

| India listing | Configuration | Displayed price | MRP shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy S25 | 12GB / 256GB | ₹84,999 | ₹94,999 |
| Motorola Edge 60 Pro | 12GB / 256GB | ₹33,999 | ₹40,999 |
The displayed prices differ by ₹51,000, with the Motorola listing lower. The amounts are time-sensitive: confirm the selected configuration, stock, offer terms, taxes, and any bank or trade-in conditions with the store before buying. They are India-specific and should not be applied to other countries.
For historical context, Samsung announced India launch prices on January 23, 2025 of ₹80,999 for the 12GB/256GB Galaxy S25 and ₹92,999 for the 12GB/512GB model. Those are launch prices, not current street prices, so they should not be compared as though they were contemporaneous with Motorola’s October 2026 store offer.

Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S25 if portability and its listed camera hardware matter most
- Its 6.2-inch display and 162g listed weight make it the smaller, lighter option based on the cited specifications.
- Samsung specifies a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom. Those component details may matter if you want a dedicated optical-zoom camera, but they do not establish which phone takes better photos or performs faster in practice.
- Samsung lists IP68 protection and Wi-Fi 7; check local network support and the exact model for your market.
Consider the Edge 60 Pro if screen area and charging specifications matter most
- Its India specification lists a larger 6.7-inch curved display at 1.5K resolution, which provides more screen area on paper.
- Its India specification lists a 6,000mAh battery, 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, compared with Samsung’s stated 4,000mAh typical capacity and 25W wired charging. These figures alone cannot predict runtime or charging time in your use.
- Its India listing offers several RAM and storage combinations, so check the exact configuration and local variant before comparing prices or specifications.
Check the exact model, software and market before buying
Configuration and software details are not identical across all listings. Samsung’s specification release lists Android 15 and One UI 7, while Motorola’s India support page currently says Android 16 and promises three OS upgrades plus four years of security maintenance releases. Motorola’s UK page differs, so confirm the software information and support terms for the exact regional model. A stated update commitment is not proof of how quickly updates have been delivered.
Samsung’s India options include 12GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage. Motorola’s India support page lists 8GB/12GB and 256GB, while its India store listing offers 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB selections. Store availability can differ from support-page options. Verify the SKU, warranty region and included accessories: Samsung states that its 25W adapter is sold separately.
