The ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 is a six-in-one USB-C dock for handheld gaming PCs and compatible computers. It provides one HDMI 2.1 display output, three 5Gbps USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet and USB-C power input through a fixed 60cm angled host cable. It can pass up to 80W to a handheld, but reaching that limit requires a separate 100W-or-higher USB-C Power Delivery charger.
What the ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 includes
ASUS describes the DG310 as a handheld-focused dock whose stand is shaped for the ROG Xbox Ally (2025), ROG Xbox Ally X (2025) and ROG Xbox Ally X20 (2026). Other devices can use it when their USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery.

The cable is permanently attached rather than replaceable. Its right-angle plug is intended to reduce strain and keep the cable closer to the handheld or computer.
Can it run 4K at 144Hz or 8K?
Yes, the HDMI 2.1 output is specified for 3840×2160 at up to 144Hz or 7680×4320 at 30Hz. ASUS also lists HDR, variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) support.

Those figures are the dock’s maximum HDMI modes, not a guarantee that every handheld will produce them. The actual refresh rate and resolution depend on the host’s video output, the HDMI cable, and the monitor or television. A 4K/144Hz setup therefore needs a host capable of that signal and a suitable HDMI 2.1 cable and display.
How many monitors can the DG310 connect?
Only one external display is supported because the dock has one HDMI output. It cannot drive two monitors as a dual-display dock. The handheld’s own screen may still remain available if the operating system and game support simultaneous output, but the DG310 itself provides a single external video connection.

USB-A speeds and current limits
All three USB-A ports use USB 3.2 Gen 1 signaling with a maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps. Two ports are rated at 5V/0.9A, while the third supplies 5V/1.5A. That is suitable for controllers, keyboards, mice, storage and similar accessories, with the higher-current port better suited to a device that needs more bus power.

Power passthrough: what charger you need
The dock accepts up to 100W over USB-C and can pass up to 80W to the connected handheld or computer. ASUS specifies a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger for full 80W passthrough. The charger is not included, so it must be supplied separately.

- Plug the fixed host cable into the handheld or computer.
- Connect the HDMI display and any USB or Ethernet accessories.
- Check the handheld’s power status; its own charging limits may prevent it from drawing the full 80W even when the dock and charger support it.
Compatibility and software requirements
ASUS says the dock works without driver installation on Windows 11 or later, macOS 12.3 or later, and Android 14 or later, provided the USB-C host supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery.
On the ROG Xbox Ally family, ASUS adds automatic Game Mode when the dock is connected to a TV and one-touch Bluetooth pairing for controllers, keyboards, headsets and other peripherals. Those conveniences are platform-specific; the core video, USB, Ethernet and charging functions depend on the host’s USB-C capabilities.

RGB lighting and physical design
The dock has four RGB lighting modes: Static, Breathing, Color Cycle and Rainbow. Pressing the control button twice turns the lighting off. The integrated stand is shaped around the listed ROG Xbox Ally models, so check that another handheld has adequate clearance and that its vents are not blocked before placing it in the cradle.
What the DG310 does not provide
- No charger is included.
- There is only one HDMI output, so native dual-monitor operation is not supported.
- The host cable is fixed at 60cm rather than user-replaceable.
- Maximum display and charging figures depend on the host, cable, display and charger; they are not universal results for every USB-C device.
Availability and buying considerations
ASUS’s official 2026 material does not give one universal worldwide price. Regional pages show “coming soon” or “where to buy” states, so availability and pricing must be checked for the market where you intend to purchase.

ASUS presents the specifications above as product capabilities. No independent performance measurements were identified in the available official material, so treat 4K/144Hz, 8K/30Hz, 80W passthrough and 5Gbps USB as stated maximums rather than guaranteed results in every setup.
The Bottom Line
The DG310 is a one-display handheld dock with fast USB-A, Gigabit Ethernet and up to 80W host passthrough. It is a strong fit when you already have a 100W-or-higher USB-C PD charger and need HDMI 2.1 features, but it is not the choice for built-in charging, dual-monitor output or a replaceable host cable.
