If you want a premium robot vacuum that washes and dries its mop instead of sending you to the sink after every run, the closest manufacturer-documented alternatives to the Roborock Saros 10R are the Dreame X50 Ultra, ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI and eufy Omni S1 Pro. They are not interchangeable: the Dreame emphasizes hot-water washing, drying and washboard cleaning; the ECOVACS uses a roller-mop system with an OMNI station; and the eufy centers its design on continuous roller-style floor washing.
Those are feature descriptions from the manufacturers, not results from a controlled test. Choose by clearance under furniture, floor mix, carpet behavior, mop design, dock chores and network compatibility rather than by assuming one model is universally better.
The Roborock Saros 10R is the baseline, not a universal checklist
Roborock lists the Saros 10R at 3.14 inches (7.98 cm) high, with robot dimensions of 350 × 353 × 79.8 mm and a dock measuring 381 × 475 × 488 mm. Those dimensions matter more than a headline feature if your robot must pass beneath a sofa, bed or kitchen cabinet. Measure the narrowest opening in your home, including any lip or uneven flooring, before comparing another model.

Its multifunction dock is specified with 80°C hot-water mop washing, 80°C dock self-cleaning, intelligent dirt detection that can trigger another wash and mop pass, automatic detergent dispensing, warm-water refilling, automatic dust emptying and 55°C warm-air mop drying. Roborock also lists automatic mop removal, but says that function must be enabled in the app. The manufacturer describes the combination as a “10-in-1 multifunctional dock” and says frequent maintenance is a thing of the past; that wording is promotional, not an independent measurement. See the complete specifications on Roborock’s Saros 10R product page.

App features, voice integrations and included accessories can also vary by market.
Three documented alternatives at a glance
| Model | Manufacturer-described mop or dock system | Useful fit | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dreame X50 Ultra | 80°C hot-water mop washing, automatic mop drying, self-cleaning washboard and automatic dust emptying; Dreame advertises a 3.2 L dust bag for up to 100 days. | Readers seeking several automated dock-maintenance functions in one station. | The 100-day figure is an “up to” manufacturer estimate that depends on usage; sanitation and duration were not independently verified. |
| ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI | OMNI station and “instant self-washing” mopping; the package listing identifies a replaceable roller mop. | Homes where a roller-mop approach is more appealing than dual rotating pads. | ECOVACS frames its innovation language as internal product innovation. It is a feature description, not a side-by-side performance result. |
| eufy Omni S1 Pro | All-in-one station, continuous real-time mop self-cleaning and heated-air drying. | Mostly hard-floor homes that prioritize active floor washing. | Its 8,000 Pa suction rating and other claimed effects are manufacturer specifications, not comparative test data. |
The table identifies design differences; it does not rank cleaning ability, obstacle avoidance or durability. The manufacturer pages reviewed do not establish a controlled winner.
What “self-cleaning dock” actually covers
“Self-cleaning” is an umbrella term. A dock can automate several separate jobs, and a model may handle some while leaving others to you.
- Mop washing: The station pumps clean water over the mop and collects dirty water. Hot-water settings, wash duration and whether the system re-washes after detecting dirt are model-specific.
- Wash-area or washboard cleaning: Some stations rinse or scrub the tray where the mop sits. Dreame specifically lists a self-cleaning washboard; Roborock lists dock self-cleaning.
- Mop drying: Warm or heated air reduces residual moisture after washing. Drying does not eliminate the need to inspect the tray, filter or water path.
- Dust emptying: The station transfers debris into a bag or container. The bag capacity and the interval between replacements depend on pets, dust, floor area and cleaning frequency.
- Water handling: Stations may refill the robot with clean water and collect wastewater. Automatic plumbing is not implied by an “all-in-one” label; check the actual regional kit.
- Mop removal, lifting or avoidance: A robot may leave mop pads at the dock, lift them above carpet or route around carpet. These approaches solve different floor-plan problems.
Before buying, list the jobs you want automated and verify each one separately. A dock that washes a mop but does not dry it may still leave a damp odor risk; a dock that dries the mop may still require manual tray cleaning.
Dreame X50 Ultra: the broad all-in-one alternative
Dreame describes the X50 Ultra with 80°C hot-water mop washing, customizable temperature settings, automatic mop drying and a self-cleaning washboard. It also lists automatic dust emptying and a 3.2 L dust bag advertised for up to 100 days of debris. The duration is an “up to” estimate, so treat it as a planning ceiling rather than a guaranteed replacement schedule. The details are on Dreame’s X50 Ultra product page.

Why it is a close Saros 10R match
Both products put several maintenance tasks into the dock: hot-water mop washing, drying and dust handling. That makes the X50 Ultra the most straightforward alternative for a reader whose priority is reducing the number of daily interventions rather than adopting a particular mop architecture.
Questions to verify before choosing it
- What is the robot’s exact height in your market, and will its sensor housing clear your lowest furniture?
- Does the regional dock package include the same water tanks, washboard and mop hardware shown on the product page?
- How does the robot handle carpets when its mop is wet, and can the mop be lifted or removed?
- What app network bands and voice-control options are supported by the regional version?
None of those questions can be answered safely by the “up to 100 days” dust-bag statement. They require the specification page or manual for the exact sales region.
ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI: a roller-mop design
ECOVACS presents the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI with an OMNI station and “instant self-washing” mopping. Its listed box contents include a replaceable roller mop and the OMNI station. Read those claims as a description of how the product is designed, not as proof that it cleans better than a rotating-pad robot. ECOVACS’s US page is the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI product listing.
When the roller approach is worth considering
A roller mop is a distinct maintenance and carpet strategy from the Saros 10R’s dual spinning mops. It continuously contacts the floor while being washed by the station, so readers who think in terms of “wash the floor as the robot travels” may prefer this design. That preference is about mechanism and workflow; the available source does not provide a controlled measure of stain removal, drying time or long-term roller life.
What to inspect in the package and manual
- Confirm that the replaceable roller mop is included in the regional box and identify the replacement part number.
- Check how the roller is stored or raised when the robot reaches carpet.
- Look for instructions covering hair, grit and residue on the roller and in the station’s dirty-water path.
- Measure the dock footprint as well as the robot, because a taller or deeper station can be harder to place than the vacuum itself.
Choose this model because its roller-mop workflow suits your floors, not because “instant self-washing” implies a particular cleaning score.

eufy Omni S1 Pro: a floor-washing-focused option
eufy positions the Omni S1 Pro around continuous, real-time mop self-cleaning and an all-in-one station with heated-air drying. Its US product page lists an 8,000 Pa suction rating and a 0.5-inch mop lift when carpet is detected. Those are eufy specifications and claims; they are not independent comparisons with the Saros 10R or the other alternatives. See eufy’s S1 Pro page for the manufacturer’s current configuration.
Best fit for hard-floor priorities
If most of your home is sealed hard flooring and you want the robot’s mop to stay actively maintained during a run, the S1 Pro’s stated continuous self-cleaning concept deserves attention. The 0.5-inch lift is relevant to carpet transitions, but lift height alone does not tell you whether a thick rug, fringe or uneven threshold will be handled reliably.
Checks for mixed-floor homes
- Measure the height of your tallest rugs and compare it with the stated lift and the robot’s approach angle.
- Confirm whether the mop lift is triggered by carpet detection in every cleaning mode you intend to use.
- Ask how the station handles wastewater and how often the roller, tray and filters must be inspected.
- Verify the exact suction and accessory specification for your country; product pages can differ by region.
Choose by the physical layout of your home
Low furniture and tight clearances
Start with a tape measure, not an app feature list. Record the lowest clearance under each sofa, bed, sideboard and cabinet, then leave a small margin for uneven floors and the robot’s sensor turret. The Saros 10R’s advertised 7.98 cm height is a useful reference point, but an alternative’s exact height and sensor arrangement must be checked on its regional page. A dock also needs clearance for opening tanks, removing bags and routing the robot into its base.
Mostly hard floors and frequent mopping
Compare the mop mechanism and the way dirty water is removed. The Saros 10R uses dual spinning mops; the X8 PRO OMNI listing identifies a roller mop; the S1 Pro emphasizes continuous self-cleaning. These systems can impose different routines for hair removal, residue checks and carpet transitions. Select the routine you will actually maintain rather than assuming that every “self-cleaning” station behaves alike.
Homes with substantial carpet
Find out whether the robot lifts, removes or avoids its mop. Roborock explicitly offers automatic mop removal through an app setting, while eufy describes a 0.5-inch lift when carpet is detected. Those implementations are not equivalent: removal can leave wet hardware at the dock, while lifting keeps it on the robot and depends on detection and clearance. The ECOVACS roller design needs its own carpet instructions.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Pets, long hair and tracked-in grit
Self-cleaning docks reduce routine contact with dirty mop water, but hair can still wrap around rollers, brushes, tray edges and filters. Plan a periodic inspection schedule. Do not interpret a large dust bag as immunity from clogs; the Dreame figure is a maximum estimate under unspecified usage conditions.
Connectivity and smart-home restrictions
Check the exact app requirements before installation. The US Saros 10R listing specifies 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. For every alternative, verify supported bands, account requirements, firmware-update procedure and whether voice control is available in your language and region. A robot that cannot join your network reliably cannot deliver hands-off scheduling.
A buying checklist that prevents the most common mismatches
- Measure the route: Record the lowest furniture clearance, narrowest doorway and highest threshold on the robot’s planned route.
- Map your floor mix: Estimate the proportion of hard floor, low-pile carpet, thick rugs and delicate surfaces. Note fringe, dark transitions and loose mats.
- Choose the mop architecture: Decide whether dual rotating pads, a roller mop or another system fits your cleaning habits and carpet layout.
- Separate dock jobs: Confirm mop washing, drying, tray or washboard cleaning, dust emptying, detergent handling and water refilling individually.
- Read the regional specification: Check dimensions, included parts, voltage, app support and wireless requirements for the country where you will use it.
- Plan consumables: Identify dust bags, mop parts, filters and rollers, then check how they are removed and where replacements are sold.
- Allow service space: Leave enough room to lift tanks, open the dock, remove the dust bag and wipe the tray without moving heavy furniture.
- Set expectations: Treat “up to,” “instant,” “continuous” and sanitation language as manufacturer descriptions unless an independent test is cited.
What daily and periodic maintenance still remains
A self-cleaning dock changes maintenance; it does not erase it. After installation, run a supervised first cycle and inspect both the robot and the station before enabling unattended schedules.
After the first run
- Check that the robot reaches the dock without catching on a threshold or rug edge.
- Inspect the clean- and dirty-water paths for leaks, kinks or an incorrectly seated tank.
- Confirm that the mop dries and that the dock tray is not holding standing dirty water.
- Review the map for missed rooms, no-go zones and carpet boundaries.
During routine use
- Empty or replace the dust container or bag when the app or physical indicator requests it.
- Top up clean water and dispose of wastewater according to the manual.
- Remove hair and grit from brushes, rollers, mop edges and sensors.
- Wipe charging contacts and keep the robot’s navigation sensors unobstructed.
When a self-cleaning cycle is not enough
Manually clean the wash tray, filter screens and water channels whenever you see residue, reduced flow, odor or repeated re-wash cycles. Hot-water washing and heated-air drying are dock functions, not guarantees that biofilm, mineral scale or trapped hair cannot form.

The robot leaves a damp or dirty mop
Verify that the dock has clean water, that the wastewater tank is seated and that drying is enabled. Inspect the tray and air path for hair or residue. If the mop remains wet after the specified cycle, consult the model’s manual rather than increasing the schedule blindly.

The dock repeatedly washes the same mop
Check whether dirt detection is triggering a re-wash, whether the mop is overloaded with residue or whether the station’s clean-water flow is restricted. Roborock specifically lists intelligent dirt detection; other models may use different logic.
The robot will not cross a rug or threshold
Remove loose mats, measure the transition and compare it with the model’s documented climbing capability. A mop-lift figure such as eufy’s 0.5-inch specification concerns vertical mop movement, not necessarily the robot’s ability to climb a threshold.
The app cannot find the robot
Use the supported Wi-Fi band, move the robot near the router during pairing and disable client isolation if your network uses it. For the Saros 10R US model, make sure a 2.4 GHz network is available. Do not assume that a phone connected to 5 GHz can complete pairing if the robot itself supports only 2.4 GHz.

What the available evidence does—and does not—prove
The cited manufacturer pages establish advertised features and specifications: Saros 10R dock functions and dimensions, Dreame’s hot-water washing and dust-bag estimate, ECOVACS’s OMNI station and roller mop, and eufy’s self-cleaning concept, drying, suction rating and carpet-lift claim. They do not establish which robot removes more soil, avoids obstacles more reliably, dries faster in a particular climate or lasts longer.
No controlled side-by-side study, independent statistic, current retailer price, stock status or universal market availability was established for these products. Prices, bundles and app features can change, so check the live listing and regional support page immediately before ordering. Keep each manufacturer’s “up to” duration, suction number, temperature and lift measurement attributed to that manufacturer rather than presenting them as directly comparable laboratory results.
Bottom line: match the dock and mop to your floor plan
Choose the Dreame X50 Ultra if you want the broadest set of manufacturer-listed dock automation in this group. Consider the ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI if a replaceable roller mop and instant self-washing workflow fit your hard-floor routine. Consider the eufy Omni S1 Pro if continuous mop self-cleaning and active floor washing are your priority. Keep the Saros 10R as the reference when low clearance, dual spinning mops, automatic mop removal and 2.4 GHz connectivity align with your home. None should be selected on a feature count alone: measure first, verify the regional specification, and plan for the manual cleaning that every water-handling dock still requires.
