The Robinhood RHWC90TB is the Argus 90 slim box canopy rangehood, with a manufacturer-rated maximum motor performance of 1200 m³/hr and minimum noise of 46 dBA at power level 1. Those are published specifications, not independently verified test results. CHOICE marks the model discontinued; its public review shows a 64% recirculating-mode score, while several other scores are available only to members. That evidence is not enough to give the hood a complete independent performance verdict.
What the RHWC90TB is and what it offers
Robinhood identifies the RHWC90TB as its stainless-steel-and-black-glass Argus 90 slim box canopy. The manufacturer lists a width of 895 mm, depth of 455 mm and height range of 445–805 mm. CHOICE describes it as 90 cm and lists dimensions of 40–76 × 90 × 46 cm; these sources present dimensions differently, so check the product and installation documentation rather than treating the figures as interchangeable.
Robinhood specifies a maximum motor performance of 1200 m³/hr and a minimum noise rating of 46 dBA at power level 1. The hood has slide/touch controls, three standard power levels plus an intensive setting, two 2 W LED lights and three five-layer aluminium filters that Robinhood says are dishwasher-safe. It can be installed for ducted extraction or recirculation and uses a 150 mm duct outlet. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results. Robinhood’s Argus 90 product page lists the model details and optional accessories.

The issue 2 operating manual says the glass touch-control speed 4 is an intensive mode: it runs for three minutes, then returns to speed 3. The delay control gives a three-minute run-on when pressed once; pressing it twice turns the fan off. Robinhood’s installation and operating instructions cover these controls.

What independent testing establishes—and what it does not
CHOICE’s public ducted-review page confirms that ducted mode was tested, but its Expert Rating and ducted performance, ease-of-use and noise results are behind member access. Do not infer those results from the model’s published specifications.
The public recirculating review displays a 64% score for recirculating mode. That figure is specific to that mode and does not establish how the hood ranks overall or in ducted use. CHOICE also marks the RHWC90TB as a discontinued model. Its ducted page lists $849, but the page does not establish that as a current price. See CHOICE’s ducted review and recirculating review.

Ducted or recirculating: installation and upkeep
Ducted installation
The RHWC90TB installation manual specifies a 150 mm duct outlet and recommends semi-rigid ducting wherever possible. The manual sets a minimum clearance of 650 mm above hotplates, subject to a greater distance if the cooktop instructions require it. It warns that installation above 750 mm will compromise performance. Check the applicable cooktop and rangehood instructions before installation, since clearance requirements can depend on the appliance combination.

Recirculating installation
Recirculation requires two CARBONFTLDEEU charcoal filters. CHOICE says to replace them every 2–4 months according to the manufacturer’s schedule, while noting the actual interval depends on what and how much the household cooks. CHOICE lists an annual carbon-filter price of $168; its accessible page does not establish the publication year, so treat the figure as a listed reference rather than a current quote. Robinhood lists the two-piece filter pack as an optional accessory and the manual says to check filter availability before installation.

Filter cleaning
CHOICE describes a metal anti-grease filter and marks the grease filter dishwasher-safe. Robinhood describes three five-layer aluminium filters and also says they are dishwasher-safe. Follow the care instructions supplied with the unit and ensure filters are dry before refitting.
Safety and electrical requirements
The manual requires electrical work to be performed by a registered electrician in accordance with applicable local and national electrical codes, and says the product must be earthed. Disconnect the power supply before maintenance. Use the manual and local requirements for the installation at your property rather than relying on a general clearance figure alone.

Should you buy a Robinhood RHWC90TB?
The model’s published feature set is clear, but the public independent evidence does not support a comprehensive performance ranking, and CHOICE labels it discontinued. Current stock, a current selling price and successor model availability are not established by the sources cited here. If considering remaining stock or a used unit, verify condition, warranty, installation parts and the availability and cost of compatible charcoal filters before committing.
If comparing it with another 90 cm canopy, use comparable independent extraction and noise measurements where available. Also check capture-area design, duct route and constraints, grease-filter cleaning, recirculation-filter costs and supply, controls, warranty and service support, and the total installed price. The published 1200 m³/hr maximum and 46 dBA minimum are useful specification points, but they are not a substitute for like-for-like test results.
