Rip It! Card Collector is a single-player incremental card-collecting game coming to Steam on 30 October 2026. Its free demo is already available and will be included in Steam Next Fest, which runs from 19 October 2026. You open booster packs, organize the cards you pull, sell duplicates and spend the proceeds on upgrades that speed up the next cycle.
Release date, demo and Steam Next Fest schedule
Team Ballistic’s official Steam Community announcement gives the full-game launch date as 30 October 2026. The same official page says the demo is available now and will be live during Steam Next Fest beginning 19 October 2026: Steam Community page for Rip It! Card Collector.

The demo is not just a visual preview. It supports the game’s main progression loop:

- Open booster packs. Packs reveal hand-drawn cards with different rarities.
- Sort each pull. Keep cards for your collection and place them into the binder.
- Sell duplicates. Extra copies become currency rather than dead inventory.
- Level up and reinvest. Earnings fund upgrades that improve the speed or capacity of future pack-opening sessions.
- Use the Rip Rig. This upgradable retro-futuristic workstation can open multiple packs, reducing the amount of manual processing as your setup improves.
That structure makes the game incremental: early progress involves more hands-on opening and sorting, while upgrades are intended to let you process larger batches and return to collecting faster.
How large is the card collection?
The official FAQ distinguishes the demo’s card pool from the planned full-game collection. Team Ballistic states that the demo contains 369 cards of various rarities, while the full game is planned to contain 1,809 cards.

The collection is organized across multiple sets and rarity levels. The announcement describes the cards as hand-drawn and ties completion to a binder, so progress is about filling sets as well as improving the workstation that produces new pulls.
Why duplicates and upgrades matter
Duplicates are part of the economy
Duplicate cards have a defined use: you can sell them to finance further openings and upgrades. This creates a choice between holding extras and converting them into faster progress. The available announcement does not specify a separate trading system, player marketplace or real-world card value; the documented economy is the in-game sale-and-reinvestment loop.

The Rip Rig changes the pace
The Rip Rig is the named workstation for opening multiple packs. It is upgradable, alongside the broader retro-futuristic setup, so the expected progression is from manual pack handling toward more automated or higher-throughput sessions. The official material does not publish a complete upgrade tree, prices or exact opening speeds, so those details should not be assumed from the demo announcement.
What is confirmed—and what is not
- Confirmed: single-player incremental format, booster-pack opening, card sorting, duplicate sales, leveling, an upgradable Rip Rig, a binder, multiple sets and rarities, and the two published card counts.
- Not stated in the announcement: the launch price, supported operating-system requirements, multiplayer or trading features, post-launch card additions, and detailed upgrade statistics.
- Credits: the official Steam Community material is signed by Team Ballistic. A 27 September 2026 Yogomi report identifies Cybernetic Walrus as the developer, but the available sources do not establish the exact relationship between those names. It is therefore safest to refer to the official announcement as Team Ballistic’s and avoid a definitive publisher/developer structure.

Should you try the demo?
If you enjoy opening-pack reveals, completing rarity-based sets and turning duplicates into progression, the demo is the most direct way to see whether the incremental pacing suits you. It lets you test the complete documented loop—opening, sorting, selling, leveling and multi-pack opening—before the 30 October release, with the additional opportunity to play it during Steam Next Fest from 19 October.
