Riftbound: Radiance is scheduled to release on October 23, 2026, in English, French, and Chinese. It is a music-themed set built around bands from the League of Legends universe, with K/DA Special cards, Heartsteel Overnumbers, and music-inspired alternate-art Runes. You can collect it through randomized booster packs, buy fixed Evelynn and Seraphine Showdown Decks, or learn the set at a local sealed Pre-Rift event beginning October 16.
The most important collecting warning is the rarest slot: Riot says an Ultimate Rare appears in approximately 0.025% of Radiance booster packs across the entire print run, and there is no guaranteed Ultimate Rare in any pack, box, or case. That is a print-run average, not a promise about an individual purchase.
What is Riftbound: Radiance, and when can you play it?
Release date and languages
Riot Games lists October 23, 2026, as Radiance’s set release date. The official overview lists English, French, and Chinese editions. Product availability, local event calendars, and regional release timing can change, so check the current announcement and your store’s listing close to release.
Local Pre-Rift sealed events begin Friday, October 16, and run through October 22, the day before release. Each store sets its own schedule. Riot’s Pre-Rift guide and event locator are the appropriate places to confirm a venue and session time.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What “music-themed” means
Radiance uses music-group identities from the League of Legends universe as card treatments. Riot specifically names K/DA Special cards, Heartsteel Overnumbers, nine new Legends with Overnumbered variants, and musically inspired alternate-art Runes. Some Overnumbered Legends can also carry an artist signature.
The official descriptions do not establish a collaboration with real-world musicians or an outside band. Treat the set as League universe music theming rather than a guest-artist or soundtrack licensing project.
What comes in a Radiance booster pack?
Every Radiance booster has 14 cards plus an informational insert. Riot’s listed collation is:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
| Pack slot | Contents |
|---|---|
| Commons | 7 Commons |
| Uncommons | 3 Uncommons |
| Foil | 1 foil Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic |
| Rare/Epic | 1 Rare or Epic |
| Showcase and chase slot | 1 card that may be a Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt, Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare |
| Token or Rune | 1 Token, Rune, or Alt Art Rune |
| Insert | 1 informational insert |
A pack can contain at most one Ultimate Rare. The foil and chase slots are separate, so a pack may have several higher-rarity cards without that making an Ultimate Rare more likely.
How rare is an Ultimate Rare?
Riot’s official overview, updated October 5, 2026, states: “On average across the entire Radiance print run, an Ultimate Rare appears in approximately 0.025% of booster packs.” This figure is an average across the whole production run. It does not describe the guaranteed contents of a particular pack, display, or case.

- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Riot also states: “There is no guaranteed Ultimate Rare in any pack, box, or case.” Pack contents are randomized during manufacturing. Do not interpret the percentage as a guaranteed one-card-per-a-fixed-number purchase schedule, and do not buy a display expecting an Ultimate Rare.
Radiance rarities and showcase treatments explained
Core rarities
Commons and Uncommons make up most of a pack and are the foundation for Limited play. Rares and Epics can appear in the foil slot, the dedicated Rare-or-Epic slot, and the flexible chase slot. Because those slots overlap in possible results, opening an Epic in one slot does not remove the possibility of another high-rarity card elsewhere in the pack.
Alt Art and Special Alt cards
Alt Art cards use alternate visual treatments. Special Alt Art cards are a separate named treatment; Riot says they appear at roughly the same frequency as Alt Art cards. Neither category is an Ultimate Rare, and neither is guaranteed in a display.
Overnumbers, signatures, and music cards
Radiance introduces nine new Legends with Overnumbered variants. Riot notes that an Overnumbered Legend can also have an artist signature. Heartsteel Overnumbers are another named music-themed treatment, while K/DA appears through Special cards. Musically inspired Alt Art Runes provide the same theme in a non-Unit card type.
Showcase count in the display FAQ
Riot’s product-drawing FAQ describes a Radiance Booster Display as drawing from a 180-card pool that includes 66 Showcase cards. “Showcase” is the product description’s pool label; it should not be treated as a promise that every display contains a fixed number of Showcase cards.

Which Radiance product fits your goal?
There are four distinct ways to approach the set. The first two are products; the third is a bundled storage-and-collection option; the fourth is a local play event.
| Option | What Riot describes | Best for | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Radiance Booster Display | 24 booster packs, 14 cards per pack; drawing FAQ describes a 180-card pool with 66 Showcase cards | Opening a broad, randomized sample | FAQ drawing price: $119.99 / €127.99 plus shipping and handling; this is not a universal retailer price and does not guarantee an Ultimate Rare |
| Evelynn vs. Seraphine Showdown Decks | Two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats, and a rulebook | Playing immediately with fixed contents or teaching another player | FAQ drawing price: $34.99 / €36.99 plus shipping and handling |
| Radiance Vault | Storage box, six Radiance booster packs, foil tokens, and a 36-Rune set | Organizing a collection while adding a small pack sample | Exact retailer pricing and availability are not established by the overview |
| Pre-Rift kit | Five Radiance boosters, one seeded champion pack themed around one of nine new Legends, and a Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo | Learning the set through a local sealed event | The Heimerdinger promo cannot be included in the Sealed deck |
How the official product drawing works
Riot’s drawing FAQ explains a store process rather than current stock status. For products offered through that system, customers enter during a five-day window. Selected accounts receive a purchase link by email and have 24 hours to complete the purchase. That procedure does not mean a drawing is open now, nor does it prove that a product is available at every retailer.
How a Radiance Pre-Rift sealed event works
What you receive
A Pre-Rift is a casual local sealed event. The organizer provides a kit containing five Radiance booster packs, one seeded champion pack focused on one of the nine new Legends, and a Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo. The promo is a participation item or collectible; it is not legal in the Sealed deck.
Deck-construction rules
- Open the cards supplied for the event and use that pool to build your deck.
- Choose up to three domains of cards and Runes.
- Build a Main Deck of at least 25 cards.
- Use only cards opened in the event for the Sealed deck. Do not add cards from your outside collection.
- You may play as many copies of a card as you opened, even if that exceeds the normal three-copy constructed limit.
- Use the additional Runes supplied by the organizer. If you need a token that is not physically available, a clear substitute can represent it.
- Ask the organizer whether deck changes are allowed between games and rounds; Riot’s guide says you can change your deck between games and rounds while following the event’s procedures.
Riot’s starting deckbuilding advice
- Include a reasonable number of Units; Riot says most decks want at least 15.
- Look for about five Units that cost two Energy so you can make early plays.
- Spread the remaining Unit costs across the curve instead of filling the deck with only expensive cards.
- Use non-Unit cards to support the plan established by your Units and chosen domains.
These are practical recommendations, not additional legality rules. Your opened pool may justify a different mix, especially if one domain has unusually strong cards or your seeded champion pack points toward a particular strategy.
Radiance mechanics to know before opening packs
Deploy
Deploy lets you play the Gear only to a Battlefield. It grants its benefits there, and it is killed when an opponent holds that Battlefield. The mechanic therefore rewards timing and positional planning rather than treating the Gear as a permanent global effect.

Show Off
Show Off asks you to reveal a qualifying card from your hand or board to unlock an additional effect on the card you are playing. Check the card’s exact qualification before revealing anything; the reveal is part of meeting that card’s requirement.
Disarm
Disarm reduces an enemy Unit’s Might as you attack. Riot says each instance makes the reduction stronger, so track repeated Disarm effects carefully during combat.
Two rules clarifications from the Pre-Rift guide
- Equipment text is active only while the Equipment is equipped. If an effect converts that Equipment into a Unit, it does not inherit the Equipment text.
- Encore requires choosing two different options. You cannot select the same option twice to satisfy the requirement.
Those are targeted clarifications from Riot’s event guide, not a complete substitute for the extended rules FAQ. For unusual interactions, use the card’s current wording and the latest official ruling.
Should you buy packs, a deck, or attend a Pre-Rift?
| Your priority | Most suitable route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate, predictable play | Showdown Decks | The decks have fixed 56-card contents, playmats, and a rulebook rather than randomized collation. |
| Broad collection and card discovery | Booster packs or a display | You access Commons, Uncommons, foils, Rares, Epics, and showcase treatments, but every result is randomized. |
| Learning with other players | Pre-Rift sealed event | The kit supplies a limited pool and the event provides a structured first session. |
| Storage plus a small opening experience | Vault | You receive a storage box, six boosters, foil tokens, and 36 Runes. |
For a new player, the Showdown Decks remove deckbuilding uncertainty. For a collector who specifically wants alternate treatments, packs provide access to them but also carry the greatest variance. A Pre-Rift adds social play and a controlled card pool without requiring you to own a constructed collection.

Common Radiance collecting mistakes
Assuming a display contains an Ultimate Rare
It does not. Riot’s no-guarantee statement applies to packs, boxes, and cases. The 0.025% figure is a print-run average, so a purchase can contain zero Ultimate Rares.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Confusing a League music theme with a real-world collaboration
K/DA and Heartsteel are League universe identities in the set’s card treatments. The cited official announcements do not announce outside musicians, guest performers, or a licensed soundtrack collaboration.
Using collection cards at a Pre-Rift
Sealed deck construction is restricted to cards opened in the event. Bring sleeves and accessories if you want, but do not add unrelated cards to improve the deck.
Treating drawing prices as universal retail prices
The $119.99 / €127.99 display figure and $34.99 / €36.99 Showdown Deck figure are prices Riot lists for products in its drawing FAQ, before shipping and handling. Retailer pricing, taxes, stock, and regional availability can differ.
