Riftbound: Radiance is scheduled to release on October 23, 2026. For collectors, a 24-pack booster display is the largest directly announced Radiance pack purchase, while the Vault adds storage and accessories, and the Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks prioritize playable decks over randomized openings. Riot lists the Ultimate Rare at an average appearance rate of 0.025%—about one in 4,000 packs—but explicitly says no pack, display or case guarantees one.
The products and odds below reflect Riot’s announcements and listings available before launch. Product details, stock and event availability should be checked again after Riot’s announced October 16 update and the October 23 release.
Radiance release timing and product lineup
Riot’s Radiance Overview, dated September 25, 2026 and updated October 5, schedules the set for October 23, 2026. Riot lists English, French and Chinese releases. Previews run through October 9, followed by Pre-Rift events scheduled for October 16–22.
The announced launch choices are Radiance booster packs and displays, Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks, a Vault and Pre-Rift kits. They serve different purposes: opening randomized cards, getting a playable product, adding storage and accessories, or participating in a prerelease-style event.

At-a-glance comparison
| Product | Radiance packs | Other contents | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booster pack | 1 | Randomized cards, a token/rune/Alt Art Rune and an informational insert | A low-commitment pack opening |
| Booster display | 24 | Sealed display of Radiance booster packs | Collectors who want more openings in one sealed purchase |
| Vault | 6 | Storage box, foil tokens and 36 Runes | Collectors who value storage and game accessories alongside packs |
| Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks | 2 | Two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats and a rulebook | Players who want ready-to-play decks and materials |
| Pre-Rift kit | 5 | One seeded Pre-Rift pack for each of the nine new Legends | Event participants; local event details and supply apply |
The official Riot Store describes each display as containing 24 booster packs. A display is therefore the relevant larger sealed purchase if your goal is specifically to collect Radiance packs; it is not a published guarantee of any rarity.
What comes in a Radiance booster pack?
Use Riot’s detailed slot description rather than the Store’s compressed marketing line when counting pack contents. The detailed overview lists these components:
- Seven Commons.
- Three Uncommons.
- One foil slot that may be a Common, Uncommon, Rare or Epic.
- One Rare-or-Epic slot.
- One premium slot that may be a Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt, Overnumber or Ultimate Rare.
- One Token, Rune or Alt Art Rune.
- One informational insert.
The Riot Store summarizes the foil and rare composition as “2 foil Rares or better” and “1 foil of any rarity.” That is a compressed description of the same product, not an additional pack configuration. For an individual opening, the detailed slot list is the clearest explanation of what can appear.

Why a foil slot is not automatically a chase card
There are several premium-looking outcomes in the foil and premium slots, but those slots cover a range from ordinary rarities through special treatments. A foil Common or Uncommon uses the foil slot without being an Ultimate Rare. The premium slot can also produce a Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt or Overnumber card. Consequently, seeing a foil or a premium-slot card does not establish that an Ultimate Rare is present.
How rare is the Radiance Ultimate Rare?
Riot states that Ultimate Rares appear in 0.025% of Radiance booster packs on average across the entire print run. Converting that percentage gives approximately one Ultimate Rare per 4,000 packs. Riot Games is the source for both figures in 2026; the one-in-4,000 expression is simply the reciprocal of the stated percentage.
That figure is a print-run average, not a schedule. Riot’s official wording is: “Pack contents are randomized during manufacturing.” It also says: “Any stated appearance rates reflect averages across the print run and are not guarantees of appearance in booster packs or booster displays.” Riot further specifies that no pack, box or case guarantees an Ultimate Rare, and that each pack can contain at most one.

What the one-in-4,000 figure does not tell you
- It does not mean every group of 4,000 packs contains exactly one Ultimate Rare.
- It does not give a guaranteed pull rate for a 24-pack display.
- It does not identify which Ultimate Rare you would receive.
- It does not establish a resale value or a profitable expected return from opening packs.
A display supplies 24 randomized opportunities, but Riot does not publish a display-level guarantee or a separate display probability. If your main objective is one particular chase card, buying more sealed product increases the number of openings without turning the outcome into a promise. Set a spending limit based on the enjoyment of opening and the cards you actually want, rather than treating the average as a delivery schedule.

Radiance products in detail
Single booster packs
A single pack is the lowest-commitment way to experience Radiance’s randomized contents. It suits a collector who wants an occasional opening, is testing the set before buying more, or is attending an event where individual packs are available. The pack still carries the full randomness described above: there is no minimum beyond the published slot structure and no Ultimate Rare guarantee.
24-pack booster display
The official Store listing defines a display as 24 Radiance booster packs. It is the most direct volume purchase for someone collecting sealed Radiance product or planning multiple openings in one session. The larger count does not change Riot’s warning that appearance rates are averages and not guarantees for displays or cases.

At the time the Riot Store listing was accessed, the Booster Display was shown as out of stock. Riot’s Store terms for that sales channel require a Riot ID, limit purchases to one per Riot ID per print run, and make purchases final subject to applicable local law. Riot also says that selection does not guarantee a purchase or reservation and that availability is limited. Those statements describe Riot’s own sales channel; they do not establish inventory at local game stores, mass retailers or other marketplaces.
Radiance Vault
Riot describes the Vault as a storage box containing six Radiance booster packs, foil tokens and 36 Runes. Choose it when the storage box and accessories have value to you in addition to the six randomized openings. It is not a substitute for a display if your priority is maximum Radiance pack volume, and the six packs carry the same no-guarantee condition.

Riot’s product registration page describes this product as two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats, two booster packs and a rulebook. It is the clearly play-oriented choice in the lineup: you receive complete decks and materials for learning or playing, with only two Radiance packs for supplemental openings. Select it for gameplay first, not as a high-volume collector opening.

Pre-Rift kits
A Pre-Rift kit contains five Radiance boosters plus a seeded Pre-Rift pack for each of the nine new Legends. Its purpose is tied to Pre-Rift event play, so check the local organizer’s date, registration rules and remaining supply before buying. Riot also says the Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo is available through a local game store Pre-Rift event while supplies last. Event access and promo availability are separate from the contents of a standard booster display.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Launch MSRP and what the prices mean
The following figures are launch U.S. MSRPs listed by the secondary Riftbound Products Guide. They are reference prices, not current offers, guarantees of stock or evidence of resale value; the guide says it is not a store.
| Product | Launch U.S. MSRP |
|---|---|
| Radiance Booster Pack | $4.99 |
| Radiance Booster Display (24 packs) | $119.99 |
| Radiance Showdown Decks | $34.99 |
| Radiance Vault | $34.99 |
At the display MSRP, the arithmetic cost per pack is about $5.00 ($119.99 divided by 24), slightly above the listed single-pack MSRP because both numbers are rounded launch references. That comparison does not predict a retailer’s later price or imply that a display offers better pull odds.
Recommended Free Tools
Which Radiance product should you buy?
Choose a single pack when
- You want to sample the set without committing to a larger sealed purchase.
- You enjoy the opening itself more than completing a particular card list.
- You are comfortable with the possibility of receiving no major chase card.
Choose a booster display when
- Your priority is the largest announced concentration of Radiance packs in one sealed product.
- You want a substantial opening session or sealed display for your collection.
- You understand that 24 packs do not guarantee an Ultimate Rare, Alt Art or any specific card.
Choose the Vault when
- You want six packs plus a dedicated storage box.
- Foil tokens and 36 Runes are useful to your collection or games.
- You prefer a mixed product rather than paying only for booster volume.
Choose the Showdown Decks when
- You want two ready-to-play 56-card decks.
- Paper playmats and a rulebook matter more than opening many packs.
- You are introducing another player to the game or need an immediate play setup.
Choose a Pre-Rift kit when
- You are attending a participating Pre-Rift event.
- The seeded packs for the nine new Legends are relevant to that event experience.
- You have confirmed local registration and supply rather than assuming every store has kits.
Set-size information is currently inconsistent
Riot has published two different descriptions of the Radiance card pool. The Products and Sets into 2027 announcement reports 167 cards, including 61 Showcase. The Riot Store display page describes a 180-card booster pool with more than 60 Showcase cards.
| Riot page | Wording | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Products and Sets into 2027 | 167 cards; 61 Showcase | Use for the announced set figure |
| Radiance Booster Display Store listing | 180-card booster pool; more than 60 Showcase | Use for the Store’s product-pool description |
The pages do not explain whether they count different variants, promotional cards or product scopes. Until Riot clarifies the counting method, do not combine the figures or present one as the definitive total. This distinction matters when planning a completion list: first decide whether you are tracking the announced set, the booster pool or special treatments.
Buying and opening checklist
- Confirm the date and language. The announced release is October 23, 2026, with English, French and Chinese products. Check for an updated Riot announcement after October 16 before treating the schedule as final.
- Identify your goal. Decide whether you want randomized openings, a playable deck, storage and accessories, or a Pre-Rift event experience.
- Match the product to that goal. Use a display for pack volume, the Vault for storage and extras, Showdown Decks for play, and a Pre-Rift kit only when tied to a confirmed event.
- Set a budget before opening. The 0.025% Ultimate Rare average is not a spending target or a guarantee. Stop when the product has reached the entertainment or collection value you assigned it.
- Check the seller’s terms. For Riot’s Store, a Riot ID is required, the stated limit is one display per Riot ID per print run, and purchases are final subject to local law. Availability can be limited and selection does not guarantee a reservation.
- Keep sealed-product records if that matters to your collection. Photograph the product and retain purchase information, but do not infer a chase-card guarantee from a sealed display or case.
- Verify event details locally. Pre-Rift dates, kit supply and the Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo are controlled by participating local game stores and availability while supplies last.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading “one in 4,000” as a promise. It is a print-run average supplied by Riot, not a fixed interval.
- Assuming a display is a guaranteed hit. Riot explicitly excludes packs, boxes and cases from any Ultimate Rare guarantee.
- Counting every foil as an Ultimate Rare. The foil slot can be Common, Uncommon, Rare or Epic, while the premium slot has several possible treatments.
- Using the Store’s short description as a second pack recipe. The detailed overview explains the individual slots; the short line is compressed marketing language.
- Treating launch MSRP as today’s price. The listed figures are launch U.S. references, not current offers.
- Mixing the 167-card and 180-card figures. Keep each number attached to the Riot page that published it until the scope difference is explained.
- Buying an event kit without an event. A Pre-Rift kit’s seeded packs are designed around event play and local supply.
- Assuming stock at one channel proves stock everywhere. Riot’s listing was out of stock when checked, but that does not establish inventory at independent stores or other sellers.
Bottom line for collectors
Radiance’s best product depends on what you are actually collecting. Buy a single pack for a small opening, a 24-pack display for the most direct sealed Radiance volume, the Vault for packs plus storage and accessories, or the Showdown Decks for immediate play. Choose a Pre-Rift kit only alongside a confirmed event. The Ultimate Rare statistic is exceptionally low—0.025%, approximately one in 4,000 packs on average—and Riot’s no-guarantee language should govern every purchase decision.
