Short answer: Buy Radiance singles if you already know which cards you want. Buy a 24-pack Booster Display if the randomized opening experience, broad card discovery, and possibility of finding an especially rare card matter more than selecting exact cards. Neither route can honestly be called cheaper yet: Radiance is scheduled to release on October 23, 2026, and no post-release singles prices or comparable delivered box prices were established as of October 13.
Riot calls the sealed product a Booster Display; many collectors call it a booster box. The recommendation below is based on the product’s randomized format and the collector’s goal, not on an expected-value calculation.
What is Radiance, and when can you compare prices?
Radiance is Riftbound’s fifth set. Riot has scheduled its release for October 23, 2026, with Pre-Rift events scheduled for October 16–22. Those are announced dates, not evidence that the set is already available. Riot’s product announcement lists set code RAD and describes 167 cards, including 61 Showcase cards. The Riot Games Store Booster Display listing, however, describes cards being drawn from a pool of 180 with more than 60 Showcase cards. These pages use different product and set descriptions; they should not be silently treated as measurements of the same card count.

Those rules may influence how much players want the set, but they do not establish a collectible’s future price, scarcity in the secondary market, or return on a sealed purchase.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A fair price comparison starts only after release, when both products can be evaluated at the same time. Before then, a sealed-display price may be a launch quote or a preorder offer, while a “single” may be a speculative listing that does not yet reflect actual supply, condition, shipping, taxes, or completed sales.
What you receive in a Radiance Booster Display
The Riot Store describes one display as 24 booster packs. Each pack contains 14 cards drawn from the listed pool of 180 cards, which includes more than 60 Showcase cards. Riot says the packs are randomized, so the contents of one display are not a fixed assortment and cannot be used to identify which particular cards you will receive.
Rarity is especially important for collectors considering a sealed purchase. Riot’s overview states:
PC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute“Each pack can contain at most one Ultimate Rare card. There is no guaranteed Ultimate Rare in any pack, box, or case.”
The same overview gives an average of approximately 0.025% of booster packs across the entire Radiance print run containing an Ultimate Rare. Riot explicitly characterizes that figure as an average rather than a guarantee. It is a pack-level, print-run-wide statistic; it is not a promised rate for a display, case, shipment, or individual buyer. Riot also calls Radiance’s second Ultimate Rare the rarest yet and says it is significantly harder to find than the Baron, but the cited announcement does not provide a Baron rate for a numerical comparison.

That distinction changes the buying question. Opening a display gives you 24 opportunities to discover cards, but it does not give you a contractual allotment of an Ultimate Rare, a particular Showcase card, or a complete playset. The contents are known only at the broad product level, while the card-level outcome remains uncertain.
How singles differ
Singles reverse that uncertainty. You select a named Radiance card in advance and pay for that card’s listed condition, language, printing, and quantity. If your objective is one leader, a specific Showcase treatment, an Ultimate Rare, or the final cards missing from a binder, singles let you spend on those exact gaps instead of accepting cards you may already own.

The certainty is limited to the listing you actually purchase. A target card may be unavailable, listed in several conditions, sold by different sellers, or priced differently once Radiance releases. Shipping, taxes, marketplace fees, authentication, return terms, and seller reputation all affect the delivered cost. As of October 13, 2026, no current Radiance singles price series or condition-specific market basket had been verified, so there is no responsible basis for declaring singles cheaper than a display.
Booster Display versus singles at a glance
| Decision axis | 24-pack Booster Display | Singles |
|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Collectors who want broad discovery, pack-opening enjoyment, and randomized pulls. | Collectors who have a defined card list or want to fill known gaps. |
| What is certain | One display has 24 packs; the cards inside are randomized. | The chosen target is specified, subject to the listing’s condition, authenticity, and fulfillment. |
| Ultimate Rare expectation | No Ultimate Rare is guaranteed in a pack, display, or case. Riot’s 0.025% figure is an average across the entire print run. | You can search for an Ultimate Rare listing directly, but availability and price are unknown before release. |
| Cost certainty | The seller’s delivered display price can be known before opening; the cards received cannot. | The target-card subtotal can be calculated, but shipping, tax, condition, and supply must be checked for each listing. |
| Set completion | May produce a varied collection, but the cited sources do not establish a completion rate. | Lets you buy missing cards directly and avoid duplicates, provided the cards can be sourced. |
| Experience | Opening packs, revealing cards, and accepting surprise. | Research, selection, condition judgment, and deliberate acquisition. |
The table describes different goals rather than a universal winner. A collector who values discovery may regard randomized duplicates as part of the experience; a collector building a precise checklist may regard those same duplicates as wasted spend. Neither preference can be converted into an expected financial return from the information currently available.
Radiance pricing: what is known and what is not
A fan-maintained Riftbound products guide reports a U.S. Riot launch MSRP of $119.99 for a 24-pack Radiance display, $4.99 for a booster pack, and $34.99 each for a Radiance Showdown Deck and the Vault. These are reported launch MSRPs from that guide, not live offers, guaranteed retailer prices, or current market quotes. They also do not include any seller-specific shipping, sales tax, or other checkout charges.

| Product | Reported U.S. launch MSRP | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Radiance Booster Display | $119.99 | Fan-maintained guide’s reported Riot launch MSRP for 24 packs; not a current market price. |
| Radiance booster pack | $4.99 | Fan-maintained guide’s reported launch MSRP; availability and seller pricing can differ. |
| Radiance Showdown Deck | $34.99 each | Reported launch MSRP for each deck, not a singles-equivalent value. |
| Radiance Vault | $34.99 | Reported launch MSRP; the guide does not establish a current delivered price. |
At the guide’s figures, 24 individual packs total $119.76 before checkout charges, while the reported display MSRP is $119.99. That arithmetic is a comparison of two reported launch figures, not proof that buying packs separately is an available or better deal. A seller may impose different shipping, quantity limits, or pricing on loose packs, and the figures may change after launch.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor singles, use a delivered-cost basket rather than a headline price. Add the exact cards, quantities, condition premiums, shipping, taxes, and any marketplace fees. Compare that total with the delivered price of a sealed display from a clearly identified seller. Until those two baskets exist for the same date and region, claims such as “singles are always cheaper” or “a box pays for itself” are unsupported.
Choose a display if these are your priorities
You want the opening experience
A display gives you 24 separate reveals and the uncertainty that makes sealed collecting enjoyable. This is a legitimate reason to buy even when you know you may receive duplicates. Budget the purchase as entertainment and collection building, not as a guaranteed route to a chase card.
You are starting a broad Radiance collection
Randomized packs can expose you to many cards and treatments without deciding every purchase in advance. The product page’s 14-card packs and large stated pool mean the opening experience is varied by design. You may still need singles later for specific gaps.
You are comfortable with an uncertain outcome
The absence of an Ultimate Rare guarantee matters most to collectors who are buying for one chase card. If missing that card would make the purchase feel unsuccessful, a display is a poor substitute for searching for the card directly once listings exist.

Choose singles if these are your priorities
You have a fixed checklist
Singles are the direct route for a named card, a particular Showcase version, or a final binder slot. You can stop buying when the list is complete instead of continuing to open packs that may repeat cards you already own.
You want to control condition
Listings let you decide whether near-mint condition is essential, whether lightly played copies are acceptable, and whether a premium treatment is worth its price. Inspect photographs, condition definitions, language, and return terms rather than assuming every copy is equivalent.
You are targeting a rare card without gambling on packs
A singles purchase does not make an Ultimate Rare inexpensive or readily available. It does, however, turn the search into a price-and-supply decision instead of a randomized opening decision. Check whether the seller can document authenticity and whether the price reflects the actual condition.
A disciplined way to buy a Booster Display
- Confirm the timing. Use October 23, 2026 as the scheduled Radiance release date and distinguish a preorder, a launch listing, and an in-stock offer.
- Identify the exact product. Riot’s product is called the Radiance Booster Display and is described as 24 booster packs. Match the seller’s description, pack count, language, and region to that product.
- Calculate the delivered price. Record the item price, shipping, tax, and any service fee. Do not compare a pre-tax display price with a singles total that already includes shipping.
- Check seller and fulfillment details. Look for a clear seller identity, return policy, estimated dispatch date, and language about sealed condition. A low headline price is not comparable if the seller cannot define what is being delivered.
- Set a stopping rule before opening. Decide whether one display is your entire sealed budget or whether you will stop after a defined number. The Ultimate Rare statistic is not a reason to keep buying after the budget is exhausted.
- Protect and record the contents. Have sleeves and storage ready for cards you intend to keep, and record notable pulls and their condition as you open. This helps separate cards for a binder, deck, trade, or later sale without confusing what came from which product.
A disciplined way to buy Radiance singles
- Build a target list. Write down card names, set code RAD, desired quantity, treatment, language, and acceptable condition. This prevents an attractive but incorrect version from entering the basket.
- Wait for comparable listings. After the scheduled release, collect several listings for the same card and condition. A single asking price is not a market benchmark.
- Normalize the condition. Compare like with like. A near-mint copy, a played copy, and a copy with uncertain grading should not be treated as interchangeable simply because the card name matches.
- Calculate the delivered basket. Add every target card, shipping, tax, and fee. If cards come from several sellers, include each seller’s shipping threshold and delivery risk.
- Verify authenticity and returns. Check seller history, photographs, product description, and the process for reporting an incorrect or damaged card. Keep order records and inspect cards on arrival.
- Prioritize scarce targets. If a card has few acceptable listings, secure the copy that meets your requirements before spending the remaining budget on abundant cards. Recheck the total after each purchase rather than treating the first quote as final.
Set completion, duplicates, and chase cards
A display and a singles plan solve different collection problems. Packs can produce a spread of cards, but the available sources do not provide a completion percentage for a display, a case, or a particular number of packs. Without that rate, it is not possible to calculate how many displays a typical collector would need to complete Radiance.
Singles make completion more deterministic: identify the cards you lack and purchase those cards. Their limitation is supply. A card may be temporarily unavailable or offered only in a condition or price you reject. The practical strategy for many collectors is therefore sequential: open sealed product only while the discovery experience is worth its cost, then switch to a singles checklist for the remaining gaps.

Chase-card rarity should also be kept separate from value. Riot’s 0.025% print-run average describes how often an Ultimate Rare appears in booster packs on average; it does not predict the card’s resale price, demand, playability, or long-term desirability. Those market factors cannot be established before actual post-release listings and sales exist.
Official alternatives to a display or individual cards
Riot’s official product lineup includes Seraphine and Evelynn Showdown Decks and a Vault alongside packs and displays. The official preorder registration page describes the Showdown Deck product as two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats, two booster packs, and a rulebook. The fan-maintained products guide reports $34.99 as the launch MSRP for each Showdown Deck and for the Vault.
These products are not a substitute for a singles price comparison. A preconstructed deck offers a defined play and collection package, while a Vault or deck may contain accessories or contents that do not correspond to the exact cards on your checklist. Consider them when your goal is learning, playing, or owning a ready-made product rather than maximizing the number of individually selected Radiance cards.
Availability and preorder cautions
When checked on October 13, 2026, the official Riot Store display page showed the product as out of stock. That was a time-specific observation; stock can change, and it should not be presented as a permanent availability statement.
Riot’s preorder registration page showed registration closed at the same time and warned that registration did not guarantee a purchase or reservation. Registration status therefore cannot be used as evidence that a display is secured, allocated, or certain to ship. Verify the actual order confirmation, seller, product identity, and delivery terms.
Collector checklist before paying
- Is the listing for a Radiance Booster Display with 24 packs, rather than a loose pack, a different product, or an unclear quantity?
- Does the seller show the final delivered price for your country, including shipping and tax?
- Are the release date and dispatch estimate consistent with Radiance’s scheduled October 23, 2026 release?
- For singles, are card name, RAD set code, treatment, language, quantity, and condition all explicit?
- Have you separated asking prices from completed-sale evidence and avoided treating one listing as a market average?
- Are you buying for discovery, a broad collection, a defined checklist, a chase card, or a ready-to-play product?
- Would you still be satisfied if a display contained no Ultimate Rare? Riot guarantees none in a pack, box, or case.
- Have you set a budget and a stopping rule before opening randomized product?
Bottom line
For collectors who know the cards they want, Radiance singles are the more controlled route once reliable post-release listings appear. For collectors who value opening packs and discovering a wide range of cards, a 24-pack Booster Display is the fitting format, provided the budget allows for an outcome with no Ultimate Rare and no guaranteed checklist coverage. As of October 13, 2026, the release is still scheduled for October 23, so wait for comparable delivered prices and real card availability before making a claim about which route costs less.
