To add a movable Google Search bar, touch and hold an empty spot on your Samsung Home screen, tap Widgets, choose Google, then touch and hold the Search widget and drag it where you want it. You can also open the Google app and use Profile picture or initial > Settings > Customize Search widget > Add.
If the bar is stuck at the bottom, it may be a separate fixed Home screen control introduced in One UI 9.0 and later—not the movable Google widget. The steps below explain how to tell the difference and get the layout you want.
How to add the Google Search widget from your Home screen

Touch and hold an empty area of the Samsung Home screen.

Tap Widgets.

Find and select Google.

Touch and hold the Search widget, then drag it to the position you want on a Home screen.

Samsung and Android menu labels can differ by device, language, and software version. If you do not see the same wording, look for the equivalent widget controls on your device.
What to do if the bar is fixed at the bottom
On One UI 9.0 and later, Samsung documents a fixed Home screen search control at the bottom of the screen. Unlike a widget, this control cannot be dragged. If you want a movable Google widget instead, turn off the fixed control first, then add the widget.

Open Settings > Home screen.

Turn off Show search on Home screen (or the equivalent label on your device).

Add the Google Search widget using the Home screen Widgets menu.
The fixed control and the Google widget are managed separately, so leaving both enabled can show two search bars. How to tell which kind of bar you have

If touching and holding the bar does not respond, it may be the fixed One UI 9.0-or-later control.

If you can drag the bar or see a remove option, it is likely a widget.

This is a practical clue, not a universal test for every Samsung model.
How to add the widget from the Google app
If you cannot find the Search widget in the Home screen widget list, try Google’s app-based route:

Tap your profile picture or initial.

Choose Settings > Customize Search widget.

Tap Add.
Google notes that the available controls can vary. Some versions of Discover no longer show a search bar; Google’s guidance for getting one on the Home screen is to add the widget. Google Search Help: customize your Search widget and Google Android Help: add apps, shortcuts, and widgets.

Google says, “You can customize the shortcuts, color, and transparency of the Search widget on your Android phone or tablet.” Open the Google app’s Settings > Customize Search widget to adjust available options; changes save automatically when you leave the settings page. You can also reset the widget’s appearance. Depending on the options offered, shortcuts can include actions such as song search, translation, or weather lookup. Google Search Help.
To resize a supported widget, touch and hold it. If its outline shows a dot in the center, drag that dot to resize. For supported widgets, touching and holding may also show a Settings option. Not all apps or widgets support these controls. Samsung Support: use and manage widgets.

If the Google Search widget is still missing

Try adding it from the Google app through Customize Search widget > Add.

Check that the Google app is up to date. Samsung’s widget troubleshooting guidance recommends keeping apps updated; if a particular app’s widget still does not work, contact that app’s developer.

Keep in mind that Android instructions can vary with the manufacturer’s software, and the available steps may differ across Samsung models and software versions.
