To raise the bull statue in Chapter 4, record the room’s linked symbols in Sophia’s journal, light both visible symbol pairs, scan the symbols on the statue’s raised hands, then use the revealed column after directing light to the two hidden wall slots. The column triggers an ambush; defeat the soldiers and interact with it again to raise the bridge.
How to complete the trial and raise the bull statue
This puzzle takes place near the end of the first Trial in Chapter 4, “From Hell It Rose.” It is the Minotaur statue puzzle, also described in a Chapter 4 walkthrough as the bull mirror room. - Register the room’s clues. Walk the full perimeter until Sophia’s journal records both linked visible symbol pairs. If the journal page is incomplete, keep circling before adjusting mirrors.
- Light the first visible pair. Aim light at both the bell/semicircle symbol and the fork/T-shaped symbol. When the pair is correctly lit, one statue hand rises to the platform edge.
- Light the second visible pair. Illuminate the triangle with two inner lines and its paired downward-fingers symbol. This raises the other hand. The two visible pairs can be completed in either order.
- Scan the first raised hand’s ring. Stand on the nearby eye-marked floor plate and use Sophia’s revealing light on the ring. Wait until the new mark appears in her journal before changing the mirrors.
- Scan the second ring. Repeat from the nearby eye-marked plate for the other raised hand, and confirm its symbol registers in the journal.
- Illuminate the hidden wall slots. Send one beam directly to the first hidden slot. Route the other final beam through the central mirror to the hidden slot beside the triangle. Keep the first slot lit while setting up the second; do not route both final beams through the central mirror.
- Activate the column, then return to it. Use the newly revealed column to trigger the ambush. Defeat the soldiers, then interact with the column a second time to raise the bridge and continue.
The Trial teaches the light-based puzzle language used here: the light sphere reveals symbols and helps route beams through mirrors and reflectors. The puzzle-solutions guide lists the Trial’s puzzles and states it was last verified on August 27, 2026, the game’s launch day.

How do I raise the bull statue?
Raise its hands by completing the two visible linked pairs, then scan the ring on each raised hand. Those ring marks reveal the clues needed for the final hidden targets. Light the first hidden wall slot directly and use the central mirror to send the other beam to the hidden slot beside the triangle. Activating the revealed column starts a fight; after the soldiers are defeated, use the column again to raise the bridge.

If the statue does not respond
- A hand does not rise: Check that both symbols in that linked pair are illuminated. A beam touching the wall is not enough; aim at the disc above the symbol.
- The journal page is incomplete: Walk the room’s entire perimeter to register both visible pairs before changing mirror positions.
- The hidden targets will not activate: Confirm both raised-hand rings have been scanned and their marks have registered in the journal. Keep the first hidden slot illuminated while routing the other beam through the central mirror.
- The bridge remains down: The first column interaction triggers the ambush, not the bridge. Defeat the soldiers and interact with the column again.
- The prompt or directions differ: Follow the on-screen interaction prompt. The walkthrough does not establish one universal control mapping for mouse and keyboard, PlayStation, and Xbox. Left/right descriptions can also vary with the player’s orientation, so use fixed landmarks such as the entrance, triangle, and central mirror.
Do not confuse this with the earlier pedestal puzzle
The earlier three-pedestal answer is Y-C-↑ from left to right, according to the Chapter 4 walkthrough. That opens a different stage; it is not the statue room’s final beam sequence.
