In the four-door room, enter the doorway marked with a circle. The entrance is blocked, so climb the rocks beside it, use the rope to reach the top, and drop into the chamber. Insert the sphere to activate the colored beams, route each beam to its matching target, then place the sphere in the socket that appears at the central pillar. The insect-like symbol is recorded in Sophia’s book.
Reach the circle-marked chamber

In the room with four open doorways, choose the one marked with a circle.

Because the entrance is blocked at ground level, climb the rocks beside the doorway and use the rope to reach the top. Drop down into the chamber.

Redirect the three beams to their matching targets
Use a beam to clear the petrified dust around the central platform. This reveals three targets, each marked with a color. Route each beam to the target of the same color.
Green beam
Direct the green beam to the reflector across the chamber, then aim it at the green target.

Blue beam
Clear the dust to uncover the hidden mirrors. Route the blue beam through those mirrors, then use the nearby reflector to send it to the blue target.

Aim the red beam at the mirror on the right and redirect it to the red target.

Collect and enter the first symbol

Once all three beams reach their matching targets, return to the central pillar.

Insert the sphere into the newly available socket. The insect-like first symbol is revealed and recorded in Sophia’s book.

Return to the entrance hall and enter the recorded symbol at the pedestal corresponding to the circle-marked doorway.

Make sure you are following the right Chapter 5 branch
Chapter 5 has several symbol trials, and the walkthrough source says they do not have to be completed in a fixed order. This route is the circle-marked reflector trial. Some walkthroughs instead describe a spike-tile field with the sequence Dots → Squid/Kraken → Dots → Flower → Squid/Kraken; that sequence belongs to a separate branch associated with the square- or dice-like doorway, not this circle-door puzzle. See the Chapter 5 walkthrough for the chapter-wide context.
