Standard Edition is the right buy for most players who simply want Resident Evil Requiem. It includes the complete base game. Deluxe adds a defined set of costumes, weapon skins, charms, filters, audio, and collectible-style files; choose it only if those extras justify the price difference at the storefront you use. Steelbook Deluxe is aimed at physical collectors, while the Nintendo Switch 2 Generation Pack is a separate three-game bundle that also includes Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.
Prices, stock, bonuses, and even the availability of physical packages vary by platform, country, retailer, and date. The figures below identify their storefront and access date so you can check the current listing before paying.

| Version | Included content | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | Resident Evil Requiem base game | Players who want the full game without cosmetic extras |
| Deluxe Edition | Base game plus the Deluxe Kit: five costumes, four weapon skins, two charms, two screen filters, a custom sound pack, and additional in-game files | Players who specifically want the listed bonus items |
| Steelbook Deluxe Edition | Everything in Deluxe, plus a steelbook case and a limited-edition lenticular card | Physical collectors who can confirm local stock and the exact package |
| Nintendo Switch 2 Generation Pack | Resident Evil Requiem, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition, and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition | Switch 2 owners who want all three games in one bundle |
Capcom describes the game content as basically the same across platform versions. Hardware and controller features can differ, however, and the editions above are not interchangeable bundles: the Generation Pack is not another name for Deluxe, and Steelbook Deluxe is a physical packaging variant of Deluxe rather than a separate campaign.
Standard Edition
Standard contains Resident Evil Requiem itself and nothing that is identified as a Deluxe Kit or collector package. For a first-time player who cares about the campaign, exploration, combat, and ordinary progression rather than alternate appearances, it supplies the essential product.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon Exclusive - 2 sided poster included in every game!
- Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who is introverted and easily scared, representing a new type of character for the Resident Evil series. Grace will experience horror from the same perspective as the player as she learns to overcome her fears throughout the course of the story.
- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
The official US PlayStation Store listing showed Standard at $69.99 when accessed on October 13, 2026. That is a dated US digital-store price, not a universal launch price or a guarantee for another platform, country, retailer, or later sale. Check the listing for your account region immediately before purchase.
Deluxe Edition
Deluxe includes the full game and Capcom’s Deluxe Kit. The PlayStation listing identifies the following items:
- Grace costumes: Dimitrescu and Film Noir.
- Leon costumes: RE4, Apocalypse, and Film Noir.
- Weapon skins: four skins.
- Charms: Mr. Raccoon and DSO Emblem.
- Screen filters: Apocalypse and Film Noir.
- Audio: the Raccoon City Classic audio pack.
- Additional file: Letters from 1998.
The item count is five costumes, four weapon skins, two charms, two filters, one custom sound pack, and additional in-game files. These are presentation and collectible extras; the edition description does not establish a separate story campaign or an exclusive gameplay chapter.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe US PlayStation Store displayed Deluxe at an original/listed price of $79.99. On October 13, 2026, it showed a temporary sale price of $55.99 through October 22, 2026. Because that sale was time-limited and tied to one US storefront, it should not be treated as the normal Deluxe premium or as evidence that Deluxe will be cheaper than Standard elsewhere.
Steelbook Deluxe Edition
Capcom says Steelbook Deluxe contains all Deluxe content, then adds a steelbook case and a limited-edition lenticular card. Its appeal is physical presentation and collectability, not a different game build.
Do not assume every store or territory has the same package. Before ordering, confirm that the listing explicitly says “Steelbook Deluxe,” identifies the platform, shows the case and card (or gives an equivalent contents list), and states whether the item is new, in stock, and shipped to your country. Retail availability and the precise physical bundle can change independently of the digital Deluxe listing.
Nintendo Switch 2 Generation Pack
The Switch 2 Generation Pack combines three complete games: Resident Evil Requiem, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition, and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. It is therefore a value decision about the two earlier games as well as Requiem. A buyer who already owns those titles should compare the bundle’s current price and ownership format against buying Requiem alone; a new player who wants the connected modern trilogy may find the bundle more useful.
Rank #2
- JUEGO SONY PS5 RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE GOLD EDITION
The Generation Pack should not be described as a Deluxe upgrade. The supplied edition information does not list the Requiem Deluxe Kit as part of this bundle, so verify the specific Switch 2 store page if cosmetic extras matter to you.
Standard vs. Deluxe: is the upgrade worth it?
Use the current price gap, not an old launch comparison. If the premium is small and you genuinely want several of the named costumes, filters, weapon skins, charms, audio, or the Letters from 1998 file, Deluxe can be sensible. If you would leave alternate outfits and presentation options unused, Standard gives you the same core game for less at the normal prices shown above.
The October 13, 2026 US PlayStation snapshot creates an unusual situation: the temporary $55.99 Deluxe sale was below the $69.99 Standard listing. That was a promotional condition with an advertised end date, not a permanent product hierarchy. A different platform may show the opposite relationship, and the sale may be over when you read this. Reopen your platform’s checkout page and compare the final price, taxes, delivery, and edition name.
Choose Standard when
- You primarily want to play the campaign and do not collect alternate outfits or physical memorabilia.
- The Deluxe premium is substantial at your storefront.
- You prefer to buy add-ons only if you later decide you want them.
Choose Deluxe when
- You specifically want Grace’s Dimitrescu or Film Noir look, Leon’s RE4, Apocalypse, or Film Noir looks, or the named filters and audio pack.
- You value the charms, weapon skins, and Letters from 1998 enough to pay the live price premium.
- Your platform is offering a verified promotion that makes Deluxe equal to or cheaper than Standard.
Choose Steelbook Deluxe when
- You want the steelbook and lenticular card as physical display pieces.
- You have confirmed the exact local listing, stock status, platform, and return policy.
- You understand that the collector packaging does not create a separate story or campaign.
Choose the Generation Pack when
- You are buying on Nintendo Switch 2 and also want Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.
- You do not already own the included games in a way that makes the bundle redundant.
- You have checked whether the bundle’s edition and delivery format match your account and storage needs.
Current prices, sale checks, and physical-buying checklist
The following snapshot is the only dated price comparison available here:
| Edition | Store and region | Price shown | Timing qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | PlayStation Store, United States | $69.99 | Listing accessed October 13, 2026 |
| Deluxe | PlayStation Store, United States | $79.99 original/listed; $55.99 sale | Sale shown October 13, 2026, through October 22, 2026 |
| Steelbook Deluxe | Retail physical edition | Not stated | Price and stock depend on territory and retailer |
| Switch 2 Generation Pack | Nintendo Switch 2 storefront or retailer | Not stated | Check the current regional listing |
For digital purchases, open the platform listing, expand the edition description, and confirm the final checkout total. For physical purchases, verify the disc or card platform, language and region information, included bonuses, release/dispatch date, and whether the seller is offering the Steelbook Deluxe package rather than ordinary Deluxe or Standard.
Capcom confirms that physical retail copies exist for the game, but a particular store’s inventory, edition name, and any licensed collector insert are not universal. Treat a marketplace photograph or an abbreviated title as insufficient proof of the full package.
Platforms, cross-play, saves, and region compatibility
Capcom’s preorder announcement named PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Epic Games Store. Later product details list PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The difference reflects how the announcements described PC storefronts; check the current store page for the platform you intend to use.

- Intense horror experience with dark narrative
- Improved images and refined game mechanics included
- Players take on the role of Leon S Kennedy
- Mission to save the president's daughter from danger
- Challenging environments and strategic combat scenarios await
Capcom’s support information states that crossplay and cross-saves are not supported. Buying Requiem on one platform does not provide a shared multiplayer session or a synchronized save on another platform. Select the edition on the hardware where you expect to play most often, especially if you are deciding between a console physical copy and a PC digital copy.

Keep the game, account, and downloadable content aligned to the same country or region. Capcom cautions that normal operation is not guaranteed when software, hardware, or DLC comes from different regions. Importing a disc and pairing it with a separately purchased add-on from another storefront can therefore create compatibility problems even when the title name looks identical.
Switch 2 controller note
Capcom lists the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller as supported and announced a themed controller. The controller is optional hardware; it is not included in Standard, Deluxe, Steelbook Deluxe, or the Generation Pack. Buy it only as a separate accessory if its controls or design matter to you.

Capcom originally advertised a Grace costume as a preorder bonus in its November 26, 2025 announcement. The current US PlayStation Store listing instead shows Grace’s Apocalypse costume as a separately purchasable $2.99 add-on. In other words, do not assume the costume is still free, preorder-exclusive, or available under the same terms on every platform.
Before relying on any preorder claim, inspect the platform’s current product page and the checkout entitlements. A historical announcement can describe an earlier offer without establishing that a later customer receives it.

- Choose the hardware first. Confirm PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, or PC storefront, remembering that cross-saves are unavailable.
- Record the live total. Compare Standard and Deluxe after any sale, tax, delivery charge, or regional conversion; do not reuse the dated US prices as a universal quote.
- Inspect the included content. If you want a particular costume, filter, charm, weapon skin, audio pack, or file, make sure it appears in the edition’s entitlement list.
- Decide whether physical extras matter. For Steelbook Deluxe, confirm the case and lenticular card, seller, stock, platform, and return terms.
- Check regional alignment. Buy the game and any add-ons from the same account region where possible, then save your order confirmation and edition name.
Release and sales context
Resident Evil Requiem released on February 27, 2026. Capcom reported worldwide sales of more than 6 million units on March 16, 2026, calling it the fastest title in the series to reach that milestone (Capcom Co., Ltd., 2026). Capcom also reported cumulative Resident Evil franchise sales exceeding 183 million units as of December 31, 2025. Those figures describe overall performance, not which edition offers better value, and they do not replace a current price or contents check.
Bottom-line buying advice
Buy Standard if your priority is playing Requiem itself. Buy Deluxe when the named cosmetic and collectible extras are the reason you are shopping and the live premium feels reasonable. Buy Steelbook Deluxe only after confirming the physical package and stock in your territory. On Switch 2, evaluate the Generation Pack as a three-game purchase, not as an enhanced Deluxe edition.
For the official contents and preorder description, see Capcom’s announcement at Capcom USA. The dated US Deluxe listing is available at the PlayStation Store, and Capcom’s platform and regional guidance appears in its support FAQ.
