You can remove a face from the watch itself or from the connected phone in Galaxy Wearable. The face disappears from the watch’s active face list, but Samsung says removal does not permanently delete it.
Remove a watch face on the watch
- Touch and hold the current watch face until the face selector opens.
- Swipe left or right to find the face you want to remove.
- Tap the minus icon on that face. On some older Tizen models, Samsung’s instructions say to tap Remove, then tap the check mark to confirm. On Wear OS models, the instruction is to touch and hold the face and tap Remove.
The exact control can vary by model and software version, so use the label shown on your watch if it differs.
Remove a face from Galaxy Wearable
Use this route when you have the connected phone available. Samsung says Galaxy Watch models using Wear OS, including Galaxy Watch4 and later, require a compatible Android phone and Galaxy Wearable for setup and management.

- Open Galaxy Wearable and tap Watch faces.
- Tap the Manage sliders icon in the upper-right corner.
- Tap the minus icon beside the face you want to remove.
What happens when you remove a face?
Samsung states that removing a face does not permanently delete it. It is taken off the active face list and may be downloaded or installed again. This is different from resetting the watch or permanently deleting the face.

If a downloaded face may be causing a problem
Samsung’s troubleshooting guidance addresses downloaded faces in the specific context of a watch having an issue after the startup screen fades. It recommends changing or uninstalling the downloaded face and restarting the watch afterward. A face is only one possible factor; Samsung also notes that restarting can resolve varied issues.
Why your menus may look different
Samsung warns that screens and menu availability can vary by watch model, software version, phone, carrier, and region. Its Canada instructions apply to devices sold in Canada and note that screens may differ elsewhere. Follow the controls and labels visible on your device.
