Reliance Digital’s festive #PROHappy campaign advertises an effective starting price of ₹56,990 for the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro. The figure is not a flat price for every customer: it combines an in-store discount, a qualifying smartphone exchange, an exchange bonus and eligible bank cashback. The same campaign advertises an effective starting price of ₹71,990 for the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max.
How the ₹56,990 iPhone 17 Pro price is calculated
The modeled calculation for the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro starts with its listed MRP of ₹1,34,900. The advertised effective price is reached only when every maximum benefit applies:

In other words, ₹56,990 is an effective in-store price, not the amount every buyer will pay at checkout. A customer whose old phone receives a lower valuation, who does not qualify for the exchange bonus or whose payment method is excluded from the cashback offer will pay more.

The calculation assumes an exchange credit of ₹55,000. Moneycontrol’s campaign breakdown identifies an iPhone 15 Pro as the benchmark for that assumption, but the value is not guaranteed for every iPhone 15 Pro, and it does not apply automatically to other models.

Valuation depends on the phone you bring
- Model, storage capacity, age and physical condition can change the quoted value.
- Screen damage, battery condition, activation or account locks and other inspection results may affect eligibility.

Reliance Digital says its SwapEasy process provides an instant valuation after scanning a QR code. The retailer states that the flow accepts any iPhone or Android smartphone for valuation, but the final offer still has to be confirmed under the store’s inspection and campaign rules.
How the exchange and store purchase work
- Take the old phone to a Reliance Digital store. Back up important data and remove screen locks, accounts and personal information before handing it over.
- Start SwapEasy valuation. Scan the store’s QR code and enter the requested details about the phone.
- Check the inspected value. Compare the quoted exchange credit with the maximum ₹55,000 assumption; do not treat the maximum as a guaranteed amount.
- Confirm bonus eligibility. Ask whether the ₹10,000 exchange bonus applies to your model, condition and transaction date.
- Verify bank cashback before paying. Confirm the participating bank, card or payment method, minimum transaction requirements, posting timeline and any exclusions.
- Complete the purchase and transfer. Reliance Digital says trained staff can help move photos, contacts, apps and chats to the new iPhone.
The campaign is described as an in-store upgrade offer available at Reliance Digital stores nationwide, subject to terms and conditions. The cited material does not establish that the same stacked price is available through the retailer’s online channel.

The 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max has an MRP of ₹1,49,900. Applying the same modeled ₹9,910 store discount, up to ₹55,000 exchange value, ₹10,000 exchange bonus and ₹3,000 bank cashback produces the advertised effective price of ₹71,990.

What to confirm before visiting
- Your actual exchange quote: the advertised maximum is not a guaranteed valuation.
- Cashback rules: eligible banks, cards, transaction methods, caps and crediting time.
- Inventory: the exact 256GB model, colour and stock at your chosen store.
- Offer stacking: whether the store discount, exchange bonus, bank cashback and EMI can be used together for your transaction.
- Final invoice: taxes, accessories, protection plans or other add-ons that may change the amount payable.
Terms, inventory, exchange valuations and bank eligibility can change. Ask the store to show the complete calculation on the invoice or quotation before surrendering your old phone.

The headline price is attainable only for a buyer whose phone receives the modeled ₹55,000 exchange value, who qualifies for the full ₹10,000 exchange bonus and who completes payment with an eligible method receiving ₹3,000 cashback. Most buyers should treat ₹56,990 as a best-case starting point and budget from the store’s device-specific valuation instead.
