ReGLOSS: CROSS is a single-player 2D puzzle game released on Steam on October 14, 2026. Its official listing does not publish a playtime estimate or stage count. The official Steam description names two devices that expand the basic rule set:
- Warp Panels: these teleport a character, changing the route that character would otherwise follow.
- Signs: a sign blocks passage until its associated switch has been activated, after which the route becomes available.
Those devices turn each stage into a planning problem. A move that appears to bring two characters closer can put one of them behind an obstacle, send them through a warp in the wrong order, or make a later collision impossible. The listing says the difficulty keeps ramping up as you progress, so the intended challenge comes from increasingly layered layouts and mechanics rather than a selectable difficulty mode.
How long is ReGLOSS: CROSS?
There is no official completion-time estimate, total stage count, or other published measure of campaign length in the Steam materials checked for this title. That means an exact answer such as “two hours” or “50 levels” would be speculation.
Length will depend heavily on how quickly you recognize the route logic. Because movement continues to a dead end, a player who plans several moves ahead may clear a board quickly, while another player may spend considerably longer testing routes and restarting. The introduction of warp panels and switch-controlled signs also makes later stages more difficult to compare with early ones: a stage with few characters can still require substantial planning if the devices interact.

What can be said with confidence
- The game is structured as a sequence of stages rather than an endless puzzle mode, according to the progression language in the official description.
- The challenge is expected to increase as stages introduce and combine gimmicks.
- No publisher-provided figure establishes the number of stages or a typical completion time.
How to decide whether the scope suits you
Buy it for the puzzle format, not for a promised number of hours. Players who enjoy experimenting with routes, restarting a board, and gradually understanding a mechanic may find the undocumented length acceptable. If you need a guaranteed campaign duration before purchasing, the available official information does not provide enough data to make that calculation.
Is ReGLOSS: CROSS difficult?
It is designed to become more difficult as you advance. The Steam listing explicitly describes a rising difficulty curve and identifies multiple gimmicks, but it does not assign an easy, normal, or hard rating and does not document a difficulty selector.
Why the movement rule creates difficulty
Every directional choice has momentum-like consequences: the member continues until a dead end. You therefore have to reason about the stopping point, not merely the direction. A route can be valid for one character but ruin the position needed by another. Since same-color members must collide, solving a stage means arranging the order and locations of several characters rather than finding one path in isolation.
What makes later stages harder
Warp panels alter expected destinations. They can shorten a route, redirect a member into a new section, or force you to account for a second movement sequence after teleportation. Signs add a dependency: a blocked passage becomes usable only after a switch is activated. A solution may therefore require reaching the switch first, preserving a route for another member, and then returning through the newly opened sign.

The published description supports a progressive challenge curve, but it does not provide enough detail to label individual stages or identify a precise point where the difficulty spikes. Your experience will also depend on familiarity with planning puzzles and willingness to reset a failed attempt.
A practical solving method
- Map the stopping points. Before committing to a move, identify the dead end that will stop the selected member.
- Separate fixed and changing routes. Note which corridors are permanently open and which are affected by a sign or switch.
- Trace warps as part of the same move. Treat a warp panel’s destination as the next position to evaluate, not as the end of your planning.
- Plan the collision order. Determine which same-color pair must meet first and avoid occupying the stopping point required by another pair.
- Use resets deliberately. A failed route usually reveals which stopping point, switch dependency, or warp interaction invalidated the plan.
These are solving principles derived from the rules described by the developer; they are not an indication that the game offers hints, rewind, or a particular reset button, none of which is specified in the listing.
Does ReGLOSS: CROSS support a controller?
Controller support is not clearly promised by the official Steam listing. The store explains directional movement but does not guarantee gamepad compatibility, a supported controller list, or a specific button layout.

What to expect before buying
- Treat keyboard input as the only input method clearly described in the official materials.
- Do not purchase a controller solely on the assumption that this game supports it.
- If you already own a gamepad, check the current Steam store input information and your Steam Input configuration after installation; the available documentation does not guarantee a particular result.
Because the puzzle uses directional choices, a controller could be a comfortable way to play if the game recognizes it, but comfort is not evidence of compatibility. The safe wording is “controller support unconfirmed,” not “controller supported.”
Does ReGLOSS: CROSS run on Steam Deck?
Steam Deck compatibility is unconfirmed for this title. The checked Steam page lists Windows 10 as the minimum operating system and does not display a Steam Deck Verified or Playable badge.
Valve categorizes games as Verified, Playable, or Unsupported. Playable titles can require manual configuration, while the absence of a title-specific rating does not prove that a game fails on Deck. Proton may allow a Windows build to launch, but no title-specific testing information here establishes frame-rate stability, text readability, suspend-and-resume behavior, controller mappings, or launcher requirements.

- It is not a rejection. There is no published Unsupported rating in the materials checked.
- It is not an approval. You cannot infer Verified or Playable behavior without a Valve rating or reliable title-specific testing.
- Controls remain a separate risk. Even if the game launches through Proton, the game’s undocumented controller support could affect how comfortably it plays.
Deck owners should therefore regard the game as an unconfirmed compatibility purchase. If you install it, verify that the current build launches, accepts your intended input, displays every stage correctly, and preserves saves before relying on it as your primary way to play.

Does ReGLOSS: CROSS have cloud saves?
Yes, Steam Cloud is listed among the game’s Steam features. Cloud synchronization is game-dependent, however, and Valve cautions that lost or conflicting saves may not be recoverable. Cloud status should be treated as a convenience, not as a replacement for a local backup.
Where the Windows save file is stored
SteamDB identifies the save file as SaveFile.es3 in this Windows path:
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/yado/ReGLOSS_CROSS/Steam/{64BitSteamID}/SaveFile.es3{64BitSteamID} represents the Steam account’s 64-bit identifier, so the complete folder name differs between users. On a standard Windows installation, entering the path beginning with %USERPROFILE% in File Explorer resolves it to your user profile.

- Exit the game so the current state is written to disk.
- Open File Explorer and paste
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/yado/ReGLOSS_CROSS/Steam/into the address bar. - Open the folder named with your 64-bit Steam ID.
- Copy
SaveFile.es3to a separate location, such as an external drive or a clearly named backup folder. - Keep dated copies if you are moving between computers or troubleshooting a synchronization conflict.
Do not overwrite the only copy while testing a restore. If Steam presents a cloud conflict, read the timestamps and choose deliberately; an incorrect choice can replace a newer local or cloud state, and Valve’s guidance does not promise recovery of a lost version.
Release date, price, and PC requirements
The official Steam listing gives October 14, 2026 as the release date and showed a price of $3.99 at the time the listing was checked. Store prices and regional availability can change, so the displayed price for your account and country is the one that applies at checkout.
