The Redsbaby JIVE⁵ is a discontinued pram, so a review is only part of the buying decision: availability, condition, included accessories and warranty eligibility matter just as much. Its published specifications list an 11.9 kg stroller, a 107 × 58 × 89 cm footprint, a 20 kg forward-facing seat limit and a 12 kg basket capacity. Detailed independent test results are not publicly visible on CHOICE’s model page, so those figures should not be mistaken for a performance verdict.
Is the Redsbaby JIVE⁵ still available?
ProductReview marks the JIVE⁵ as discontinued. Redsbaby’s listing for the model-specific Second Seat Conversion Kit also labels that accessory discontinued, although the page showed stock when accessed; listings and stock can change. These sources do not establish current availability of the pram itself from Redsbaby or another retailer. If you find one, treat it as remaining stock or a second-hand purchase, and confirm condition and what is included before paying.
ProductReview’s JIVE⁵ page records owner-submitted experiences, not controlled test results. Owners commonly praise folding, handling and storing the pram in a car. One visible complaint says metal clips make the basket difficult to reattach and that it came apart repeatedly. Use those comments as prompts to try the fold and basket yourself, not as proof of how every unit performs.
What are the JIVE⁵’s dimensions and limits?
CHOICE’s model page says it tested the JIVE⁵ in 2023 and lists these specifications. Its $999 price is the figure displayed on that page, not a current offer or quote.

These figures are from CHOICE’s JIVE⁵ model page, accessed in 2026. Measure your car boot, storage area and doorways against the listed dimensions, and consider whether you can comfortably lift 11.9 kg. A published footprint alone does not confirm that the pram will fit in a particular vehicle.
What does the independent testing tell you?
CHOICE’s public page identifies a 2023 test and displays specifications, but its expert rating, recommendation, component scores and many test outcomes are member-only. The visible information does not establish whether the JIVE⁵ passed particular safety or durability tests, or whether CHOICE recommended it. Owner reviews cannot fill that gap: they are individual accounts rather than a controlled assessment.

Can you use the JIVE⁵ for two children?
The JIVE⁵ is for one child unless you use the JIVE⁵ Second Seat Conversion Kit. Redsbaby lists the kit as discontinued. Its page states a 17 kg second-seat capacity and describes the kit’s standard 24-month warranty, but says the kit is not eligible for the extra year tied to online registration. Confirm that the correct kit is present and usable before treating a second-hand JIVE⁵ as a double pram.

What should you know about the bassinet and capsule compatibility?
Bassinet and sleep
The JIVE⁵ bassinet has a 9 kg limit. The product guide says to stop using it when the baby begins pushing up on hands and knees or reaches 9 kg, whichever comes first. It permits overnight sleeping in the bassinet only when it is used with the Redsbaby Bassinet Stand. That is distinct from using the pram as a whole: the guide says the pram is not an unsupervised sleeping environment.
Capsules and accessories
The JIVE⁵ guide names Britax capsules when used with JIVE⁵ bassinet adaptors. It names Maxi-Cosi, Joie and Nuna capsules when used with separately sold Maxi-Cosi capsule adaptors. Compatibility depends on the specific capsule and matching adaptor combination; check the model and adaptor details rather than assuming that every capsule from a listed brand fits. The guide also identifies the Redsbaby Buggyboard as compatible, with a 20 kg child weight limit. Verify that any accessory is available and suitable for your particular pram before purchase.

What should you inspect before buying a used or leftover JIVE⁵?
Arrange a hands-on inspection where possible. The following checklist applies the guide’s instructions to a pre-purchase check; it is not a claim that a particular unit has been tested.

- Frame and locks: Look for damage and check that the fold locks engage reliably.
- Brakes and wheels: Apply and release the brakes, check that they hold the stationary pram, and look for wheel wear or damage.
- Harness and seat: Check the harness condition, fastening and adjustment, and confirm the seat reclines through its positions.
- Fold and handling: Fold and unfold the pram as intended. If car storage matters, test it in your vehicle rather than relying on general descriptions of compactness.
- Basket: Attach and detach it, inspect the clips and check for damage. Do not exceed its 12 kg capacity.
- Bassinet: Check its condition and mattress, and confirm any required components. For overnight use, the guide requires the Redsbaby Bassinet Stand.
- Included parts: Confirm the exact adaptors, bassinet, second-seat kit or other accessories included, and match any capsule only with the model-specific adaptor listed in the guide.
- Safety information: Ask Redsbaby whether there is a safety notice relevant to the specific unit before using it.
The guide directs caregivers to use the harness and tether, apply the brakes whenever the pram is stationary, inspect brakes and other components, and stop using the pram if components are damaged. It warns against hanging bags from the handle, overloading, incorrect folding and using non-approved accessories. Those instructions are particularly important for a unit whose wear and history may be unknown.
Does a used JIVE⁵ still have a warranty?
CHOICE lists a two-year warranty. The Redsbaby guide describes a standard 24-month warranty beginning when the product ships from the warehouse, with an additional 12 months after online registration within 60 days of delivery. Those terms do not mean a second-hand unit automatically has remaining or transferable coverage. Before buying used, ask for the original purchase date, seller details and proof of purchase, then verify warranty transfer and eligibility with Redsbaby. Do not assume the registration-linked year applies to a later owner.
Who should consider this pram?
The JIVE⁵ may suit a buyer who finds a complete, sound unit and has checked that its dimensions, accessories and configuration fit their needs. It is a less straightforward choice if you need assured new-product availability, clear warranty coverage, or a readily available second-seat kit. Decide using the actual unit in front of you: confirm its condition and contents, measure your storage space, and verify any capsule or accessory match before committing.
