The Redmi Turbo 5 is the easier choice to assess for India: Xiaomi lists a 7,540mAh battery, 100W wired charging and a 6.59-inch 120Hz display. The Infinix GT 50 Pro is listed by comparison sites with a larger 6.78-inch 144Hz screen, but its India availability and some specifications are inconsistent across those sites. Choose based on the features you can verify in the exact model and a live local listing—not on an unconfirmed price or spec-sheet performance claim.

Xiaomi’s India product page is the clearest source for the Redmi’s listed hardware. The GT 50 Pro figures above come from third-party comparison pages, which do not agree on every detail. Treat them as reported specifications, not confirmation of the phone’s India configuration.
Which phone has the better screen?
The GT 50 Pro listings describe the larger, faster-refreshing panel: 6.78 inches at 144Hz, compared with the Redmi’s 6.59 inches at 120Hz. That makes the Infinix the more promising option on screen size and listed refresh rate if those specifications match the model available to you. The Redmi offers the smaller display and has a stated 1.5K resolution on Xiaomi’s India page; the cited Infinix listings do not establish a comparable resolution here.

A higher refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, but it does not by itself establish better image quality, gaming performance or battery life. Check the resolution, refresh-rate modes and regional specification on the seller’s exact model page before comparing.

Battery and charging: a clearer advantage on paper for Redmi
Xiaomi lists the Redmi with a 7,540mAh silicon-carbon battery, 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. That is a substantially larger stated capacity and faster stated wired charging than the GT 50 Pro’s reported 45W charging. The Infinix’s battery capacity remains uncertain: Smartprix says 6,150mAh, while Gadgets360 and 91mobiles say 6,500mAh. The sources do not establish which figure applies to the specific regional model a buyer might find.
These are listed capacities and charging rates, not measured battery-runtime or charging-time results. Actual endurance and charging depend on usage, settings, charger compatibility and other conditions. Xiaomi says its listed package includes a 100W adapter, cable, protective case and pre-applied screen protector; check the box contents for the specific market and purchase.

Processor and memory
Xiaomi names the Redmi processor as Dimensity 8500-Ultra and lists up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The GT 50 Pro is reported with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but comparison pages use different names for its Dimensity 8400-family processor. Confirm the exact chipset and memory configuration on the product listing before buying.

Those names and capacities do not show which phone is faster in games or everyday use. No comparable benchmark, sustained-gaming or thermal test results are established here, so a performance winner cannot be inferred from the specification sheets alone.

Camera hardware
The Redmi’s listed rear setup is a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide; its front camera is listed at 20MP. Comparison listings give the GT 50 Pro a 50MP and 8MP rear-camera combination and a 13MP front camera. These resolutions and hardware details do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. No comparable camera test results are available in the cited listings.
Price difference and India availability
Smartprix shows ₹37,990 for the GT 50 Pro and ₹41,999 for the Redmi Turbo 5, but its GT 50 Pro details page says it was updated on September 23, 2026. That is a third-party snapshot, not a verified current official price. Availability signals conflict: 91mobiles marks the Infinix unavailable or upcoming, and Gadgets Now also labels it upcoming. The comparison pages therefore do not establish that an Indian buyer can currently purchase the GT 50 Pro at ₹37,990.

Do not treat the displayed figures as a confirmed ₹4,009 saving. Before deciding, check an official India channel or a live seller listing for the GT 50 Pro, and compare the exact variant, stock status, warranty and final price with the Redmi listing. The Redmi’s ₹41,999 figure is also a volatile third-party listing snapshot, not a guaranteed price today.

- Consider the Redmi Turbo 5 if you want the more clearly documented India listing, a larger stated battery, higher stated wired charging, wired reverse charging or a higher-resolution listed selfie camera.
- Consider the Infinix GT 50 Pro if a larger 144Hz display is your priority and you can confirm that the exact regional model is available, with the advertised specifications and a valid local warranty.
- Wait to compare prices if the Infinix listing is marked upcoming or unavailable. A displayed price without confirmed stock is not a reliable basis for choosing between the phones.
Neither phone can be named the overall performance, camera or battery-life winner from these specifications. For a purchase decision, first verify the Infinix’s regional model and local availability; then compare current seller prices and the features that matter most to you.
