The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is the stronger all-round choice under ₹50,000 on the listed specifications: the comparison reports a 12GB/256GB model at ₹47,999, along with a more versatile camera array and a higher-tier chipset. Choose the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max if battery capacity or its reported longer software-support commitment matters more. Prices below are dated figures, not live quotes.
Which phone fits a ₹50,000 budget?
At the prices reported by 91mobiles on 23 September 2026, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ 12GB/256GB was ₹47,999. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 8GB/256GB was ₹49,999, while its 12GB/256GB version was ₹55,999 and therefore above the budget at that time. These are dated comparison prices, not current offers; check the exact configuration, stock and price before buying. 91mobiles’ comparison lists the variants, and Motorola India’s Edge family page also displays ₹47,999 for the Edge 70 Pro+.
If you want 12GB RAM and 256GB storage while staying within the stated budget, Motorola is the clear fit among these reported configurations. If you are comparing entry prices rather than like-for-like memory, the Redmi’s 8GB variant was reported at ₹2,000 more than Motorola’s 12GB model.

Detailed Motorola specifications and support terms in this table come from the comparison rather than a detailed official specification page. The official Motorola product-family page corroborates the model and displayed price, but not those detailed claims. Xiaomi’s specification page confirms the Redmi figures. Peak brightness figures are manufacturer or comparison specifications, not equivalent to typical brightness or a measured side-by-side result.

Which phone is better for performance and gaming?
The comparison favors the Motorola’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme over the Redmi’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 for gaming and demanding workloads. That makes the Edge 70 Pro+ the more performance-led pick on the listed hardware, but the available evidence is a specification comparison—not benchmark testing or a sustained gaming assessment. It does not establish actual frame rates, heat, or performance over long sessions.
Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
Motorola lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom. The Redmi has a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto camera specified by Xiaomi. The Motorola therefore offers more focal-length flexibility on paper, especially for optical zoom. These specifications alone do not show which phone takes better photos; no controlled image samples or camera tests are available here.

Is the Redmi’s larger battery a better reason to buy it?
The Redmi has the larger stated capacity: Xiaomi specifies a 10,000mAh typical silicon-carbon battery, 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The comparison lists the Motorola at 6,500mAh, with 90W wired and 15W wireless charging. Choose Redmi if maximum stated capacity and wired reverse charging are priorities; Motorola is the option here with listed wireless charging. Capacity and charging-wattage figures do not establish real-world battery life or charging time, which can vary with usage and conditions.

The Motorola comparison lists a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,200 nits peak brightness, versus the Redmi’s 120Hz and up to 3,500 nits. Xiaomi confirms the Redmi’s 6.83-inch, 2772 × 1280 flat AMOLED specification. The comparison describes Motorola’s display as 6.8 inches with 1.5K resolution. Those peak figures do not tell you typical brightness or prove that one screen looks better in everyday use.
