How reliable is this comparison?
The two sides do not have equal evidence behind them. Xiaomi India publishes specifications for the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G on its official specifications page. By contrast, a search of Lava’s official domain for “Virat Curve 5G” returned no result, and no official Lava product page was reviewed. Display: flat versus curved
On Xiaomi’s confirmed specifications, the Redmi has a flat 120 Hz AMOLED panel with a higher stated resolution and a 3500-nit peak-brightness figure. The Lava listing describes a 6.67-inch curved 120 Hz AMOLED screen, but its resolution and panel details have only secondary-source support here. Screen shape is a preference as much as a specification: a curved edge can look different in hand, while a flat panel may suit users who prefer less edge curvature.
