Battery capacity, charging and Xiaomi’s battery-life claim
Xiaomi lists an 8000mAh typical-capacity battery, 45W wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The manufacturer says the phone can deliver “3+ days” of typical use on one charge, but qualifies this as light usage based on Xiaomi internal laboratory testing. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independently replicated battery test; actual endurance depends on how the phone is used. Xiaomi India product page.
Software version and update policy
Xiaomi’s FAQ specifies Android 16 with HyperOS 3 out of the box and says the phone is eligible for four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. These are Xiaomi’s stated support-policy periods, not evidence that every future update has already been delivered. Xiaomi India FAQ.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the configuration: Xiaomi lists 6GB and 8GB RAM versions with 128GB storage. The 8GB option adds memory, not listed storage capacity; available space on either version may be reduced by software.
- Check local 5G compatibility: listed bands do not guarantee compatibility with every operator. Confirm the bands and service support with your carrier.
- Compare the details that matter to you: use the same RAM/storage configuration when checking other phones, then compare display type and refresh rate, battery and charging, chipset, camera hardware, durability rating and stated software support.
- Separate specifications from results: Xiaomi’s published hardware figures do not establish real-world speed, camera quality or battery endurance. No independent benchmark, camera test or battery test is established here.
