For the India-market 5G models, the realme P4 5G has the stronger published hardware on refresh rate, battery capacity and charging wattage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G makes the clearer case for a 108MP main camera and a longer stated software-support commitment. Neither is a universal winner: compare the exact RAM and storage variants at checkout, and choose according to the features you value.

Which phone has the better display?
Both phones list 6.77-inch AMOLED-class displays. The realme P4’s stated refresh-rate ceiling is 144Hz, compared with up to 120Hz on the Redmi Note 15. That gives the P4 the higher specification for refresh rate, but the published figures alone do not establish which screen is brighter, better calibrated or more pleasing to use.

Is the Redmi Note 15 or realme P4 faster?
The phones use different chipsets: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the Redmi and MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra in the P4. Those names do not establish which phone feels faster in everyday use, sustains gaming performance better or handles demanding workloads more effectively. For that, look for matched reviews or benchmarks testing the same configurations under comparable conditions.
Battery and charging: where the P4 leads on paper
realme lists a 7000mAh typical-capacity battery and 80W Ultra Charge for the P4; its product information says the power adapter is included. Xiaomi lists a 5520mAh battery and 45W wired charging for the Redmi. On rated capacity and charging wattage, the P4 has the higher figures. They do not, by themselves, prove longer real-world battery life or a particular charging time: usage, settings and charging conditions affect both.

Camera comparison: 108MP versus a wide-angle camera
The Redmi’s headline rear camera is a 108MP main camera, and Xiaomi advertises 4K video recording with OIS. realme lists a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera and 4K video recording at 30fps. The P4’s listed wide-angle camera gives it a named second rear-camera option; the Redmi’s headline resolution is higher. Neither distinction proves which phone takes better photos. Megapixels alone do not determine image quality, and there is no matched camera-sample comparison here. The available Xiaomi product-page text also does not clearly state the Redmi’s front-camera resolution, so a front-camera winner cannot be established from these specifications.
Software updates and storage differences
Update commitments
Xiaomi states that the Redmi Note 15 5G will receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. That is Xiaomi’s stated commitment, not an independent assessment of update quality or reliability. realme identifies the P4’s software as realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. A third-party comparison lists three OS-update years and four security-update years for the P4, but that commitment was not confirmed on the official realme specifications page cited here. Check realme’s current official support policy for the exact model before treating that duration as settled.

Memory and expansion
Android Central reports that India Redmi configurations include 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage, plus shared-slot microSD expansion up to 1TB. realme lists 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB P4 options, with UFS 3.1 storage. Confirm the exact SKU and whether the shared slot affects how you can use SIM cards before buying; configuration names and availability may differ by seller.
Redmi Note 15 vs realme P4 price difference
There is no dependable fixed price difference to quote from the available listings. When accessed in 2026, 91mobiles displayed the Redmi Note 15 at ₹28,999 on Amazon and the realme P4 at ₹20,999, marked “Out of Stock.” These are volatile listing snapshots, not necessarily matching storage configurations or like-for-like offers. Android Central’s review separately reports Redmi launch prices of ₹22,999 for the base configuration and ₹24,999 for 8GB/256GB; those launch figures are a different price context and should not be compared directly with the 91mobiles snapshot.

Before deciding, compare the same RAM and storage tier on the same day, and check seller, stock, discounts and other checkout terms. The cited 91mobiles page also gives a Redmi launch date that differs from the date reported by Android Central, so no precise Redmi launch date is needed to make this buying decision. Choose the realme P4 5G if
- You value the higher listed refresh-rate ceiling: 144Hz versus 120Hz.
- You want the larger rated battery and higher charging wattage: 7000mAh typical and 80W, versus 5520mAh and 45W.
- You want a listed rear wide-angle camera alongside the main camera.
- You can find the exact configuration you want in stock at a price that works for you.
Choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G if
- You value Xiaomi’s stated commitment of four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.
- You prefer its 108MP main-camera specification and Xiaomi’s advertised 4K recording with OIS.
- You want the microSD expansion flexibility reported for the India model, after confirming the slot configuration for your SKU.
For either phone, compare matched storage tiers and current checkout prices rather than relying on a single listing. A hardware specification can narrow the choice, but it cannot substitute for independent, like-for-like testing of camera output, battery endurance or sustained performance.
