The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G offers a larger, higher-resolution screen, a 200 MP main camera and a higher listed typical battery capacity. Samsung’s Galaxy M47 5G has a Super AMOLED display, a different three-camera setup and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Neither spec sheet proves which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use. The price gap is also unsettled: a retailer snapshot showed the Redmi ₹1,000 higher, but it is not a matched, guaranteed-current quote.

Which phone has the better display?
The Redmi has the larger listed panel at 6.83 inches and the higher stated resolution: 2772 × 1280, described as 1.5K by Xiaomi. Samsung lists a Super AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2340. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Choose based on whether screen size and resolution or Samsung’s stated Super AMOLED panel description matter more to you; these specifications alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor readability.

How do the cameras compare?
Redmi lists a 200 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. Samsung lists a 50 MP OIS main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro camera. Their front cameras are listed at 20 MP and 12 MP, respectively.
These are hardware configurations, not a photo-quality ranking. Megapixel counts do not by themselves establish detail, low-light results, color processing or video performance. Consider independent camera samples for the specific regional models before treating either as the better camera phone.

Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists a typical capacity of 6,580 mAh for the Redmi; Samsung lists 6,000 mAh typical for the M47. Both list 45 W charging, with Samsung specifying wired charging. The larger Redmi capacity is a specification advantage, not a guarantee of longer runtime: actual battery life depends on usage, network conditions and other factors.
Performance and software: what the specs establish
The Redmi uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400-Ultra, listed at up to 2.6 GHz; Samsung specifies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 at 2.4/1.8 GHz. Clock speeds and chip names alone are not a reliable basis for declaring which phone is faster. The available specifications do not provide a matched benchmark or real-world performance test.

Xiaomi lists HyperOS 2. Samsung’s India product page provides an Android 16 manual, while the independent Gadgets 360 comparison reports One UI 8.5. These details are not enough to compare update duration or guarantee the software version on every regional unit; check the version and update terms for the exact market and variant.
Samsung also says the M47’s LPDDR5X memory, paired with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, can achieve up to LPDDR5 performance levels. That qualification matters: the memory label should not be read as a promise of full LPDDR5X performance.

What is the price difference?
A 91mobiles comparison page displayed Amazon India prices of ₹31,999 for the Redmi Note 15 Pro and ₹30,999 for the Galaxy M47 5G when retrieved in 2026. That snapshot puts the Redmi ₹1,000 higher, but it is not a verified, same-date comparison of matching RAM and storage configurations, nor a guaranteed live price. See the 91mobiles comparison and verify current listings before deciding which costs less.
A Cinco Días report dated June 29, 2026 gave ₹22,999 as the Galaxy M47 launch price and reported a July 4, 2026 sale date. That is launch context, not a like-for-like current quote against a specified Redmi configuration. A definitive price gap cannot be established from these figures.

Availability, regional variants and what comes in the box
Samsung’s official M47 listing is for India. A comparison listing says the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has not launched in India, so Indian buyers should confirm local availability rather than assume the global Redmi model is officially sold or supported there. Check network-band compatibility, warranty coverage and the precise model number in your own market.
Xiaomi says NFC availability and package contents can vary by region. Its listed box contents include a power adapter, USB Type-C cable, SIM eject tool, protective case, quick-start guide and warranty card, but that list is not a guarantee for every market. Verify the retailer’s regional package details before relying on an included accessory.
Which should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G if you prioritize the larger 1.5K display, the listed 200 MP OIS main camera or its higher stated typical battery capacity.
- Consider the Galaxy M47 5G if its Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon platform or three-camera arrangement better matches your priorities, and the India-market availability and warranty suit you.
- Compare live prices carefully if cost is decisive: match RAM and storage, market, seller and offer timing rather than relying on the ₹1,000 snapshot.
For both phones, treat the spec sheet as a way to narrow your choice, not proof of real-world photo quality, speed or battery endurance.
