On paper, the India Redmi Note 15 5G is a substantial specification and software-support upgrade over the India Redmi Note 14 5G—but the available specifications do not prove it is faster, takes better photos, or lasts longer in everyday use. Whether it is worth buying depends on the price difference for the same storage tier and whether you value its larger, brighter display, higher-resolution main camera, bigger battery, and longer stated update support.
This comparison is specifically between the India 5G models. The names Redmi Note 14 and Redmi Note 15 also refer to variants for other markets, so check the exact model and local specifications before relying on these details.
What changed between the India Redmi Note 14 5G and Note 15 5G?
Xiaomi’s India specifications list a newer processor, a slightly larger display with a higher peak-brightness rating, a 108MP OIS main camera, a larger battery, and longer software support for the Note 15 5G. Both India models list 45W charging. The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent performance or endurance test results.

Is the Note 15’s processor a meaningful performance upgrade?
The Note 15 moves from the Dimensity 7025-Ultra to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That is a newer listed platform, but the available specifications do not provide comparable benchmark results or controlled tests. Core counts and maximum clock speeds alone cannot establish how much faster one phone feels in apps, games, or multitasking. Treat the processor change as a specification upgrade, not a quantified speed claim.

Does the Note 15 have a better screen?
It has a larger listed display: 6.77 inches versus 6.67 inches. Both are AMOLED panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. Xiaomi lists peak brightness of 3200 nits for the Note 15 and 2100 nits for the Note 14, but these are manufacturer ratings rather than independent measurements. The Note 15’s screen is also curved; consider that design difference alongside the size and brightness figures when deciding which display suits you.
Does 108MP mean the Note 15 takes better photos?
No conclusion about overall photo quality follows from resolution alone. The Note 15 lists a 108MP f/1.7 main camera with OIS, while the Note 14 lists a 50MP Sony LYT-600 f/1.5 main camera with OIS and EIS. The Note 14 also lists a dedicated 2MP macro camera; the Note 15’s cited camera specifications list an 8MP ultrawide but no macro camera. Without comparable sample images or camera tests, the megapixel increase does not establish that the Note 15 produces better photos.

Video specifications differ too: Xiaomi India lists up to 1080p at 30fps for the Note 14, while the Note 15 India product page advertises 4K recording. Xiaomi Global specifies 4K at 30fps for its Note 15 5G. Confirm the recording modes for your exact regional model before buying on that basis.

Charger contents depend on region. Xiaomi India says a 45W charger is included with the Note 15, but Xiaomi Global’s specifications page states, “No power adapter included in the box.” Check the listing for the exact regional SKU rather than assuming package contents match across markets. Xiaomi India also lists a 45W adapter in the Note 14 package.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How much longer is the Note 15’s software support?
For the India models, Xiaomi states 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches for the Note 15, compared with 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates for the Note 14. That is a meaningful stated-support advantage if you keep a phone for several years. Verify the terms for the exact market and SKU, since these claims are tied to Xiaomi’s India product pages.

Should you upgrade or buy the Note 15?
If you already own a Redmi Note 14 5G
Consider upgrading if the Note 15’s larger display, 108MP camera specification, larger battery, or longer stated update support addresses a specific need—and the price difference makes sense to you. The listed hardware changes alone do not establish better everyday performance, photo quality, or battery life.

Compare live prices for the same storage tier in your market before deciding which is better value. Current matched prices and stock are not established here, so there is no supported price-based winner. Check the exact regional model, warranty, charger contents, network bands, headphone-jack availability, and update terms. Xiaomi warns that network bands and package contents can vary by region; its Global Note 15 specifications are useful supplemental documentation, not a substitute for the local model’s listing.
