The Redmi Note 15 5G has the stronger listed hardware on several headline specs: a slightly larger display, higher-resolution cameras, a larger battery and faster rated charging. The Galaxy A27 5G counters with optical image stabilization on its main camera and a longer software-support period reported by a third-party listing. Neither is a universal winner: compare the same storage configuration at your local checkout price, and weigh the features you will use.
This comparison is for the Redmi Note 15 5G, not the separate Redmi Note 15 4G. How do the displays compare?
The Redmi’s listed 6.77-inch display is 0.07 inches larger diagonally than the Galaxy’s 6.7-inch panel. Both listings specify 120 Hz, while the sources describe the Redmi panel as AMOLED and the Samsung panel as Super AMOLED. Those labels and diagonal measurements do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use; brightness, calibration, reflections and personal preference also matter.

Which phone has the better cameras?
On paper, the Redmi has more megapixels on its main and front cameras. The Galaxy listing, however, specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) on its 50 MP main camera, plus a dedicated 2 MP macro camera. Megapixel counts alone do not predict photo quality, and the available sources do not provide a controlled, side-by-side camera test. Choose based on sample photos in the lighting and situations you care about rather than resolution alone.
Battery capacity and charging: what the figures tell you
The listed Redmi battery is 5,520 mAh with 45 W wired charging; the Galaxy listing gives 5,000 mAh and 25 W. These figures favor the Redmi for capacity and rated charging speed, but they do not prove longer runtime or a particular charging time. Screen use, network conditions, software, charger compatibility and other variables affect actual results, and there is no matched endurance test in the available sources.

Performance and software support
Performance
Both phones are listed with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, so the chipset name alone does not separate them. Actual responsiveness can depend on memory configuration, thermals and software. There is no verified head-to-head performance test establishing which phone is faster. Android Central’s review of the Redmi alone praised its display and battery while criticizing responsiveness and software; that review does not demonstrate how it performs against the Galaxy.

Android Central discusses Xiaomi’s stated four-year OS-update period; Gadgets Now reports six years of OS and security updates for Samsung. For a useful price comparison, check the same day, country, storage capacity, seller conditions and final checkout total for both phones. Do not infer the price difference from one page’s offer unless the variants match.
Which one should you buy?
- Consider the Redmi Note 15 5G if you prioritize the slightly larger listed display, higher camera-resolution figures, larger stated battery capacity or faster rated wired charging. These are specification advantages, not proof of better photos or longer battery life.
- Consider the Galaxy A27 5G if OIS on the listed main camera or the longer support period reported by Gadgets Now matters more to you. Confirm the policy with Samsung for your market before treating the update duration as applicable to your handset.
