The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is the stronger fit if you want a sharper screen, a documented IP68 rating and specified 45W charging; the vivo V40e may suit you better if you prefer a larger display and a higher-resolution front camera. Both are listed with 5500mAh batteries and 120Hz displays. The better value depends on the live price for the same storage configuration, not a comparison-page price alone.

The vivo V40e details in this table come from a secondary comparison listing, not an official vivo India specification page. Treat them as listed specifications rather than independently verified test results. Sources: Xiaomi India specifications and Smartprix comparison.
Which screen is better for you?
The Redmi has the higher listed resolution: 2712 × 1220 on a 6.67-inch screen, compared with the V40e’s listed 1080 × 2392 resolution on a 6.77-inch screen. In practical terms, the Redmi’s specification favors sharper detail, while the vivo offers a slightly larger diagonal. Both are listed as supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz, so the published figures do not distinguish them on maximum refresh rate.

For reading fine text or viewing detailed images, the Redmi’s denser panel is the more relevant specification. If screen size matters more than resolution, the vivo’s larger display may appeal. Panel figures do not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor readability.

Camera hardware: selfie resolution versus rear flexibility
Xiaomi lists a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera, with a 20MP front camera. Smartprix lists the V40e with a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP front camera.
The V40e has the higher stated front-camera resolution, while the Redmi lists an additional macro camera. Those counts do not establish which phone takes better photos or video: image processing, lens performance and shooting conditions matter, and no comparable independent camera test is established here. Xiaomi lists rear video recording up to 4K at 30 or 24 frames per second; do not infer the same capability for the vivo from the comparison listing.

Battery and charging: what the specifications do—and don’t—show
Both phones are listed with 5500mAh batteries, but capacity alone cannot predict how long either will last between charges. Xiaomi specifies 45W TurboCharge and says a 45W adapter is included in the Redmi package. The cited Smartprix listing does not securely establish the V40e’s charging rate, so these sources are not enough to make a charging-speed comparison.

Xiaomi lists the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G with Android 14 and HyperOS, and publishes a commitment of three years of software updates plus four years of security updates. The Smartprix listing gives Android 14 for the V40e, but does not establish an equivalent update commitment. Check each manufacturer’s current support terms before buying if update longevity is a deciding factor.

Xiaomi also lists IP68 protection, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual nano-SIM support, a 190g weight and a protective case in the box. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent durability or performance test results.
Price difference: compare the same variant and live offer
Smartprix reported lowest prices of ₹21,999 for the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and ₹29,999 for the V40e, an observed ₹8,000 gap on that page. Smartprix marked those details as last updated September 13, 2026. This is a dated comparison-page observation, not a fixed price difference or manufacturer-set price.

A separate 91mobiles comparison displayed ₹26,999 for the Redmi and ₹33,999 for the V40e among comparison columns that also included another handset and multiple configurations. The different figures underline why a page-level price gap can be misleading. Before treating one phone as cheaper, compare the exact RAM and storage variant, seller, warranty terms and checkout price. The Redmi is listed by Xiaomi India in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations; the cited price snapshots do not establish a reliably matched current configuration for both devices.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G if its current same-variant price is lower and you value its higher listed display resolution, IP68 rating, documented 45W charging or Xiaomi’s published update commitment.
- Consider the vivo V40e if you prefer its larger listed screen or 50MP front camera and the actual price premium works for you.
For either phone, confirm the exact model, RAM and storage, seller and warranty at checkout. The specifications support a conditional choice, but they do not prove a camera-quality, battery-life or overall-performance winner.
